    Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your feedback on this video. We know the visual and audio are SUPER off, but we're trying to stay consistent with our uploads while on pointe shoe fitting tour. Plus, these twins really had some insightful tips & tricks, we didn't want to completely lose this content! We will most likely review these hacks again in another, better quality video. Happy dancing!

      I thought this one was especially interesting! Thank you for making the effort to keep uploads consistent.

      Thx for uploading anyway and also for considering for redoing this video. I could not really make out how the right twin (from the camera perspective) did the sowing.

    I love how only one of the twins is speaking at a time but both of their mouths are moving to the words being spoken.
    Twins are magic! 👯‍♂️

    I think with these videos of the pros showing their break in process it would be really helpful to see what the shoes look like on them brand new and then after they’ve done their break in process. 😁

    0:06 2:05 one twin is mouthing word for word what the other says. it's like they're on the same wave length + could have talked in unison the entire interview. even the "ums" + "ands" are together.
    4:20 is especially crazy. even their body language, cadence and emphasis on words is alike. they keep checking in eye contact w each other as it goes on as well,

    That tool is called a bradawl and it is used to make a guide hole for nails or screws into wood and other materials... It is weird but i know they are identical twins but i see a lot of differences so i am not at all surprised that they have different shoes x

      Twins do often do that. Then, they'll finish each other's sentences bcuz they're at the same point of the same thought process. At least that's how it seems to my for my twins. You can even tell that the 1 on the left used to speak for her sister when they were younger.

    4:37 - 4:47 is the twin on the left reading the other twins mind. Because the twin on the right is speaking and the twin on the left is mouthing the same words.

    • @Charoula1608
      @Charoula1608 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really... A) reading minds is a myth and B) a lot of people do it. Google "mouthing the words that someone else is saying"

    • @AudreeAdam
      @AudreeAdam 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It happens ALL THE TIME with twins because you spend so much time together. It's also hundred times more noticable in conjoined twins.

    • @nataliecook6977
      @nataliecook6977 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thiades is awesome yeah I don’t really believe that people can read minds I just noticed that she was mouthing the words at the same time the other twin was speaking.

    • @Sallystarw
      @Sallystarw 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omg, that’s weird! Why is she doing that?

    • @Jessica-ne5pr
      @Jessica-ne5pr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you watch she’s mouthing the words with a small delay. It’s pretty common that people will mouth other people’s words, especially with twins. It’s not really reading minds, they’re just listening and repeating. You can also guess from context and language patterns what the other person is going to say

    Hi Josephine, would have some tips for finding the right fit for feet with a bunion on the outer side of the foot? I find it hard to find pointe shoes which would not sickle around the toe area, because of my bunion.

    • @bsimon8652

      Monika Giemela outer foot bunion is considered a Taylor’s bunion.

    WILL YOU DO A VIDEO ON TOE PADS?
    I’ve tried every toe pad known to man- including PerfectFit. I had such high hopes for Perfect fit because I thought- “Oooh! It molds to my toes and will feel like a 360 degree cushion!” I was so disappointed to find that the Perfectfit material felt hard and scratchy instead of spongy.
    I do love my pads that are at least 1/4 inches thick consisting of spongy, rubbery synthetic material. They protect me from pokes and from pressure.They keep my toes and bunions extra cushy (but still hurtsl after a while.
    I wonder if any toe pads really keep the feet from hurting, or it they all just HURT no matter what?
    Ouch Piuches feel like I’m wearing absolutely zero to cushion my feet and the tips of my toes.
    What I’m really looking for is a pillowy, squishy soft surrounding for my ties and wings.
    Why aren’t these being manufactured?
    I’m interested in what others think. What do you see in your stores?
    Thank!

    What does darning do or achieve? I always see dancers darn their shoes but I never heard why

    • @Estertje93
      @Estertje93 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It helps the dancer feel the edge of the platform better. And feeling where your foot is is good for technique and stability. For some people, their feet are so flexible, they really need to know if they are going over too much. Some might darn the whole platform for more grip on the floor.

    • @lexie_ballerina4155
      @lexie_ballerina4155 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is used to have a wider platform not just to feel the floor.

    In my point class almost everyone has the same shoe lol I’m not sure about size but everyone besides 2 people ( me and another person ) don’t have European balance. I have Heritage and the other person has Grace but 4 peoples pointe shoes are to small and one needs a harder shank so it’s a mess XD

    Was this stage on the street? So noisy!! And lighting terrible.
    Interesting backstory knowledge for those of us who took 1 pointe class at age 12 and did not stay with it. Seems like so much work to manage your pointe shoes. Give me tap shoes!!
