Another cheap meal is minced beef, I like 15% fat fried with tomatoes and onion/garlic plus salt and pepper, maybe some chillies, with baked potatoes, cheap as this or less. Simple stuff, maybe some cheese on top
I can back this meal, I eat 250g minced beef almost daily and its both tasty and good for your body. Just make sure to get at least 4 different protein sources per day for muscle growth.

Disclaimer: Insulin does what insulin needs to do according to millions of years of evolution which you are the peak of. The problem here is not insulin but your diet consisting of a significant amount of exogenous carbohydrates. Transition to keto/carnivore slowly, about a 6-8 months period of gradually decreasing plant matter and increasing the meat and animal fat intakes.

I respect the passion, BUT that is NOT how you cook those ingredients brother…never do this. -preheat oven to 375-400 F -Pan fry the chicken wings on med/high Heat to render fat and lightly brown, toss/coat them often, after about 10 mins transfer to a roasting/baking tray -chop the onion add to the pan, deglaze the pan with a bit of hot water cook the onions until softened about 5 mins (add garlic and butter if you have it for the last 2 mins) -chop the cauliflower and broccoli and add to the pan, if the pan is big enough, add everything back to it and toss to coat evenly in the juice/fat, and season generously then spread evenly on the roasting tray and cook in the oven for about 30+ mins. If you don’t enjoy the food; it’s not a sustainable approach regardless of the cost savings.
Basically how I've been eating. More specifically, I'm on keto. Back in June I was 280, now im 217lbs. Didn't go to the gym as much as I should have, maybe just once or twice a week for 30 minutes. This type of diet gives me over all consistent energy as in I don't feel the need to take a mid-day nap anymore. My gym performance is far worse without carbs though but It's worth it to me.

I love the simplicity of the dish but would've cooked the chicken wings for much longer & got all the goodness out of the bones creating a stock then add the veggies. The wings can be removed and extra veggies can be inclused & maybe some lentils to make a hearty soup? That said, I love your way of eating
Thanks Eddie but To be honest everybody don't like Cauliflower and Broccoli the key I believe is just learning how to read the ingredient information when you go Grocery shopping and it's very Simple just stay away from anything that is made with Enriched Flour and learn how to substitute it for the Organic brands since I have learned this I can see a difference in my physic everyday and I am not even exercising because I have spinal stenosis. I Fast the first few hours of the day after I get up in the morning I break my fast between 11 to 12 o'clock noon and then I eat a serving of Eggs either an Omelet or Scrambled Eggs with Turkey Bacon and Chicken Sausage no Swine Bacon because I found out that the Swine is born with a Bacteria that causes Diabetes, no bread I only eat bread if I make a Burger during the Week but the bread is only made with Organic Wheat Flour And I Seldom eat any Sweets if I do I make them only with Organic Wheat Flour and Organic Cane Sugar Stay Fit People 💪 🙂 👍
