Ive only come to realise how many of my best films that I like due to the musical themes are mostly done by James Newton. Last of the Mohicans for one. Its really funny how you start lookong more into movies such as the musical composers as a an alternative source ro favourite directors
I think James Newton Howard is absolutely splendid. He is not my favorite composer, but, if i were to make a movie, he'd be my first choice to hire. This is because his music ALWAYS serves the film first and foremost. It has no ego. As a film composer, you should not want to call too much attention to yourself because you'd be taking it AWAY from the actual film.
This movie made me be scared for months about ghost and stuff like those, but seriously he did very but very well and James N Howard made one again of the most beautifull soundtrack for the movie!

very good, complex, intriguing movie.the soundtrack is also one of a kind.check out "The Mothman Prophecies"as well.You'll find a lot of similarities between the two movies.

An incredible movie and a very talented composer.

you would need to experiance death in some way weather it is u that dies and get resusitated or seeing someone else actually die.
in The Happening he is not one of the victims but the voice of the man who sends messages to the wife
Yeah the Signs soundtrack was brilliant. I think the Sixth Sense and Signs is his best work so far.
