@@Sam-TheFullBullIt's because the physics are different, and that you actually have to press on a pedal and steer a wheel to drive. Can't really do that when playing on maps like rainbow road and coconut mall
Interesting how these games use a single general map to make two separate track layouts on, not unlike what Tour later did for its city courses and Piranha Plant Cove.
I can't say Namco made a game that's engaging, fun, or easy to understand, but where I will give them credit is that they managed to make the green shell actually useful.

I sure that's impossible since it was Bandai who made the tracks in GP kart. Even there a chance a collaboration between Nintendo and Bandai, it's unlikely going to happen

Unfortunately it was impossible for the longest time to get proper footage on these tracks as there was no (public) 1.18 dump. This changed a couple days ago and the game is fully playable through emulators now. I have been looking into recording the real thing through an arcade cabinet in the past but the best you can get out of these is 720p iirc (might be wrong on this.) And even then it seems an absolute pain to connect a capture card to this, so I unfortunately had to resort to emulator until I find a way to connect a capture card to one.
