I need part 2 where Cinderella gets her justice. like she gets only a short time in prison because Hans deserved it and it was out of self-defence. Also I hope there will be more stories with other princesses .

Making Cinderella the murderer? I'm not opposed to it but she was doing it out of self defense, not out of malice or ill intent. Hans is clearly a sexual harasser. Cinderella didn't plan the murder although she did plan the cover up. The whole system in this world is messed up! So this movie isn't even going to address the abuse Cinderella endured from her family? It's a slap on the face just to forget that part it's like the Japanese don't care about abuse in general mental or physical. This whole movie doesn't even address the abuse Hans or Cinderella's so called family inflicted upon their victims. All that mattered to the writers it seems was that Red Riding Hood solved the case and the Prince got the love of his life.

IKR? It doesn't even make sense writing-wise. Like, why did the white fairy only give her shoes? She certainly had the power to do more than that. Also why didn't they bring up how the sister got knocked out twice? Did they just forget about that?? ither way, they are way to cruel to a girl who murdered an assaluter in self defense. Legit ruined the movie for me

I'm still amazed to see 300 hundred years later the work of Charles Perrault influencing so many people across the world. Sleeping beauty, Puss in boots, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, etc... The Grimms took a lot of credit from his work when he wrote them all...

I hear some classic tales were meant to have brainwashing effects. Beauty and the Beast was about accepting one's fate in arranged marriage and love itself would manifest afterwards. Cinderella seems to focus on desire to marry wealthy men and make oneself beautiful on a superficial level. Snow White... maybe being beautiful draws fortune to you. A bit blasphemy in our time considering Snow White was 7 during her story

This movie in my opinion was decent until Spoilers: That reveal/ attempted twist. I already knew where they'd attempt to go with it, but Red's breakdown for it was just too loose to be satisfying to me. I already saw a comment saying, "Well, this isn't a Disney flick where everyone's supposed to be pure of heart." But I don't really see what that has to do with someone not liking the ending or how it was written.
    Spoilers:
Cinderella wants to be beautiful, so she follows Hans, and gets attacked. In self-defense, she accidently kills him, then somehow in the hours before she meets Red, she panics and writes a letter to her sister Margo and gets her to come all the way out to where Hans stays to pin her for the crime of killing the hairdresser (who sent the letter?). Later on, for some reason, she uses the shoe she just got from the white fairy, which we are never given a reason for, and knocks her sister unconscious, planting the other murder weapon in her hand while she sleeps.
For the most part, that's her full crime in the movie before meeting Red and going to the ball. Do I think her ending as the culprit could have been written better? Absolutely. There are plenty of women to vouch for Cinderella that the hairdresser was a bad guy. He's even the one that blackmailed the prince and caused the prince to be away from his love for a year. Punish her? Fine. But what is the message supposed to be here?
I feel like if they wanted Cinderella to be the culprit, they should have just made this her attempt at revenge. For example:
Cinderella makes a dress for herself with the help of her animal friends yet has no shoes in order to go to the ball. Walking through the forest, she meets the fairy and gets her first pair of glass slippers. However, similar to the original, when her stepmother sees her dressed, she tears apart Cinderella's dress and forbids her from going to the ball. Sick of being abused, she goes to the lake and cries. That's when she meets Hans in the forest, and suddenly, a plan sparks in her head. Going home briefly she gives a letter to Margo to meet Hans at his home. She then quickly travels to his house, where Hans tries to attack her, but is attacked instead. She kills him with the glass shoe, forgetting one piece, and waits for her sister to arrive. Knocking her unconscious, she remembers that the shoe will not fit Margo, so she uses a separate murder weapon to place on her. Knowing her elder sister's hair is in the room, she places the hair on the table, so Margo will have a motive for killing Hans, then runs through the forest before her sister can wake up, hurting her feet. She spots Reds shoes and takes them to hide the scars. And then she meets Red after burying the broken glass slipper.
Instead, what we get is a long winded explanation, pushing Cinderella into the role of the killer.
If the woman the prince loved had killed Hans due to self-defense, would an ending where she ends up in jail still be okay? No. I don't think it would be. Cinderella should have to answer for trying to pin the crime on someone else, but self-defense? That's where this movie lost me. Ps. If the prince loved someone else, why write in the line of the prince rushing after Cinderella and attempting to get her name? Just because it was in the original? He had no interest in her, so a guard could've simply found it later and gave it to him. Overall, the movie is interesting because it attempts to do something different which I appreciate. It was just the execution of Red's deduction and the culprit that sort of lost me

I get it but Cinderella appears way back before Disney. There are many versions of Cinderella and the Disney one is not the official. I think it was Charles Perrault from France that wrote the first story of Cinderella that we know today but other cultures also have their own Cinderella, rags to riches story.
Talking about the Cinderella in this movie.... I AM NOT OPPOSED TO MAKING HER THE KILLER but I can't help but feel sad for her, she was bullied, abused by her own family and made to be a slave in her own home. Then almost gets sexually assaulted by Hans only to defend her self by accidentally killing him..... The movie DID NOT address the abuse of Han's victims or Cinderella's abuse at the hands of her own family. We never got to see the family after they found Margot in the woods. There was NO justice there. Even the punishment Margot got was soooo small and insignificant.
It seems to me what I really hate about this whole movie is that it ignored the abuse and victims towards the end and focused more about a happy ending where the Prince reunited with his love and Red Riding Hood solving the mystery.

I agree with "it was good until it wasn't"
It was an interesting premise and a chill movie ...but the end?
    Spoiler!
It was clear to me that Cinderella was the murderer, because she was passive and little boring. It was like "lets pick the least expected person for the twist!"
So I was cool with the decision...but then Red continued talking and...yea I'm not Sherlock but her explanation was not the greatest...for me at least or I missed something. And with that my brain was thanking again.
Red explained that Cinderella wished for shoes two times...but why? The second time is clear: she met Red and the two go to the ball. Ok. But the first? The Witch apparently just makes shoes for girls in town but why should Cinderella wish for glass shoes at this moment?
To go to the ball? Nope, no dress nor new hairstyle. Apparently she has better magic and can do a lot of things. The second time the girls just needed slippers because their already got everything. So why onely glass slippers? Because the plot needs them so we can 100% be sure that it was Cinderella.
Please correct me if I am wrong and wasn't listening correctly.
(I'm also not a pro in english so feel free to correct😅)
P.s. still a decent movie. Wished that Red was the murderer and just manipulated everyone to get Cinderella into jail. Why? For fun😂

I liked the movie, funny, entertaining, gorgeous costumes, but the ending! Why?
    Spoilers.
Just Cinderella! Twists are satisfying when all the clues that have been there the whole time fall into place at the final reveal and you just go “Oh, oooh! Dang that was clever!” But none of that. It was just an exposition spill at the end to make the reveal work. It just left me feeling bad about Cinderella’s whole story.
In such a straightforward movie about a fairy tale murder mystery the nuance of Cinderella’s story didn’t fit. Plus Little Red Riding Hoods moral compass was off. Hiding Hans body instead of reporting it, punishing Margot for being a bully when she was innocent of actually committing the crime she was being arrested for, getting Cinderella arrested when her killing Hans seamed more of a failed escape plan. Cinderella hit him on the head with the intent to knock him out and get out of there but it went wrong. Plus what was up with Red’s creepy face after they buried Hans? I feel like I missed something in translation. I watched that part like five times and I completely didn’t understand why she said she pulled off the perfect crime with that creepy face. It didn’t make sense to me at all. Did I miss something?

IMO, Red should've helped Cinderella cover the crime and set up margot (and even anne and the step mom) for the crime as she understood that Cinderella was also a victim and the sisters deserved to go to jail for abusing her. The ending reveal should've been Red revealing the twists and reveals to Cinderella alone and then leaves her to live her life and then Red giving the Prince and Remi their ending.

I agree she needs a happy ending. Unfortunately, this version was bound to be unhappy no matter the outcomes. Even if she didn't incriminate her step-sister, she would be in jail anyways because she's "ugly" by the kingdom's society standards, no matter how justified her reasons was.
And even if this whole thing didn't happen, she wouldn't get the prince anyways, since he's already in love with someone else and he would be a jerk about it just to distance himself from her and anyone else.

Do you know how many people, men and women, get blacklisted and have their lives ruined because they come out with the truth when they report rape/abuse? @@jimbolic0809 This is a fantasy set in old times, what's the point in comparing it with modern world. I've never heard a girl getting jail time for self defence , if it's true that the guy is a criminal. There are solid evidence that he's a creep , she wouldn't have gone to jail for that.
I am not victim blaming. Covering up a murder doesn't make her innocent. She is supposed to be the most innocent of the princesses who can't think of doing anything bad.
Cinderella is as cunning as a serial killer in this story. She doesn't hesitate to destroy evidence, make it look like an accident , framing someone , not to mention attacking her, and lying straight to the face. Do these actions make her a sweet summer child?
Y'all only looking at the first part. The girl prince has a crush on, is a bigger victim than Cinderella, yet she didn't thought of committing crime.
