That's true Fish sounds much more like Peter Gabriel!!! But Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins share vocals ressemblance, so I guess the three have something in common vocally!!!

And the song itself sounds very strange. Like a "Sussudio" version of Kayleigh. It's a bit ironic too, because Fish said that he was tired of people talking about the Genesis influences over Marillion's music. And what did he do ? Playing with Collins and Banks ( on his solo records ).
@@carl13220 I think he liked Genesis and they were some of his favorite musicians but I would say Marillion had more influences( sometimes I listened them and hear Rush, Van Der Graaf Generator and 80's influences mixed). Sometimes Fish reminded me more of Peter Hammill.

Jordan Campbell talking complete bollocks. By this point Phil "the master of prog" Collins was the One More Night and Groovy Kind of Love singer and Genesis were little more than Phil and the Mechanics. He was still a great drummer though when he could be bothered to drop the Simmonds drums and the drum machines. As for saying the song never sounded better, it sounded better when Rothery was actually playing the guitar solo properly, which Midge Ure completely cocks up here.
fitnessisgood4u I agree Mosley is a very underrated drummer. I'm not convinced he's actually a better drummer than Phil Collins was in his prime though. I remember Fish once naming his dream band and he named - you guessed it - Phil Collins on drums.
