I got my wedding dress off of wish for $7. The corset was $10. I did my own dollar tree decorations that totaled 70. We bought 6 bottles of alcohol for 150. The food was 250. The officiant was 200. It was beautiful and absolutely perfect ❤
Aww, yeh we had a VERY low key wedding too, my mother in law cried she was so disappointed! Made my own bouquet too! Married 27 years this year…..😊🖐🏻✨🇬🇧
That's all very well but you have to remember they are on a budget. The dresses she is trying on are 5,000 pounds upwards. Also I don't think anything he e
@@gloryakiepper7918 One guy commented on an uploaded video and said that was his wedding (it was the one at the zoo.) , that it was fun to see people watching it years later. He also commented that he knew what she wanted but had to change it up a bit for the show. I wondered over that ever since, like what the percentage is he can pick what she already has rather than get creative .
@@ingridpear1882 you know I wonder about that does it has to be interesting. Also 90% of the time the dresses fit them and no alterations needed. We know that's not true 90% need alterations.
No sympathy from me. They know what they are getting into. We couldn't afford a dream wedding but we did it on our own with what we had. If you opt to have your wedding paid for and be on TV.. This is how it goes 😉
It was the bride who applied for this show too! However in the full episode, the brides sister was due to get married also, she’d spent over a year planning her own wedding. (You see her sitting down 2:59) I’m guessing this bride wanted to be the first down the aisle, so she applied for DTTB!!
I've been married 50 years and my husband still couldn't choose so much as a pair of knickers for me. But he's loving, gentle, kind, faithful, supportive and wonderful. This programme is silly.
If I was her friends & Mom I would have to secretly buy that dress and put it away for for her to have a second wedding on her anniversary for her wedding gift. But I'm sure she will look beautiful in the simple gown he thinks she will look beautiful in. If she's happy to be marrying her fiance, she will glow in anything. Best wishes!🎉
I don’t quite understand. You know the rules of the show, so why so much drama when you don’t get exactly what you want? I thought a wedding was about the marriage and the relationship not so much on what you wear. I would be happy wearing whatever my honey chose for me because he did it out of love.
I think before they sign the contract she should tell him what sort of dress she wants, and he should discuss how he sees the venue and theme of it all if he has one.
I got married in a nursing home my mom was dying My dad stood up for my husband His mom stood up for me My mom beamed and mouthed all the vows with my husband I figured she married him lol We wore normal clothes I put on press on nails It was her dying wish on her birthday We had a few dementia patients we loved in the library with us. I wouldn’t of changed a thing 🌺
When the ladies have such high expectations why would they go on this programme and have their partner choose their dress ? Guaranteed their will be tears flying all over place.🤷
The groom’s wishes aren’t the primary concern when a bride picks out her dress. This just goes to show that grooms also pick what they want to see the bride wear, not necessarily what she wants. You can’t expect to go on a show like this and get YOUR dream wedding. This essentially is the groom’s dream wedding. Just proves that weddings are for the bride and not the groom.
I don't like her dream dress at all. Those straps would irritate me no end - they look like bits of fabric just stuck on. And the front looks like it doesn't fit at all.
That saten dress she picked is beautiful, my daughter would wear that as she has the same taste. How is it that these men know nothing about the women there marrying, or don't try to, and really just buy the dress you want instead of your 5 minutes of fame on TV
My friend had that dress, the bust line is cleverly designed. It has full support despite the flowing lines and the sateen is incredibly thick and sumptuous.
You know it's normally just your maid of honor you and your mom all this work stuff I'll bring a whole bridesmaid mom made of Honor mother-in-law to be ridiculous jmo

And you have a beautiful life and marriage 🌺
Are you serious??🤢🤢🤢
Omg this is gorgeous!!!! I’ve never seen a bridal gown with a back like that!!!
Same here, what a beautiful dress!!!
The phrase "All fur coat and no knickers" comes to mind!
Marriage is not about a dress, a tiara and veil.
Alex is overly determined, there's so little 'give'. Run groom, run...
The bride seems oh so posh and the whole family seems to be well off so why on earth don't they pay for their own dreamwedding and dream dress?
That's not the premise of the show.
@@BestLife1133 that's why it is so absurd and that's why we like watching it, don't we😅
Maybe they wanted to be on tv but there is a price to pay.
Initially I wondered why on earth is this Upper-Middle Class Bride doing DTTB? Then I saw the footage of her adorable obviously West Country Fiancé😅
EXACTLY.....
I really like her dream dress
I do too.
1920's to give you shape? Does she realize it's loose hanging and not sculpted?
Why do the grooms never know what their brides like

Chose would be any good do you ?
Please show the next part.....
If me and my gf applied to this show I know we’d both care enough to study each others dream dresses before… is it bc we’re girls? 😂😂
Quite possibly, but I bet there are men out there that if faced with the task of picking his bride’s dress, would study what she wants as well.
They know they are on the show. Why no discussion about the dress before they start the show. ?????

That would stop the drama and be too realistic. 😂

Exactly
I'm old school. Groom and the other men have no business being there let alone have a say about the dress she should wear.
Again, it's a tv show. It's the rules that the groom choose.
It's a TV show with rules. The bride and groom should not participate in such shows.
I agree.
No sympathy from me. They know what they are getting into. We couldn't afford a dream wedding but we did it on our own with what we had. If you opt to have your wedding paid for and be on TV.. This is how it goes 😉
Exactly!
Why would somebody so picky go on a programme like this?
To get everything paid

Sorry but her dream dress does not suite her. Nor will the other one her fiance chose 😮
Disagree.
It's the head piece with that hairstyle

If I was going o be on a show like this, I would first speak to my fiancée about what I liked, along with pictures, before signing up.

Unless he chose something that made her look like she was wearing a potato sack…

I would think the brides would be tutoring their fiances over and over on what they like or dislike?
So drama. Much problems.
Me me me
When the ladies have such high expectations why would they go on this programme and have their partner choose their dress ? Guaranteed their will be tears flying all over place.🤷
The dress she likes looks like a nightgown and why are the straps so loose?
Yea the straps are wierd and I can't see any of the women on Downton Abbey wearing that
The couples go through a audition process & those that pass & go onto the show are there to create the most "watchable" show...
The first bride looks like Anna from Downton Abbey. Except she's pickier, much pickier.
Why would she give him free rein if she wants a specific style dress so badly.

Her dream dress gives no shape 🤔
Run boy, run as fast as you can. She is too masculine for him.
Why does the groom pick out the brides dress??
Because that is the rule of the show. The bloke gets a budget and has to set up the whole wedding.

She’s too picky for this show.
In what world does a bride have her groom choose her wedding dress? Talk about Asking for Disaster!@ WTAF?
I'm sorry but if he's picking your dress, then I'm thinking what other decisions he will be making for you in the future.
Usually by the end she's decided he gets no say in anything else ever again

A £3000 fancy, expensive nightdress.
That’s exactly what I thought!
My friend had that dress, the bust line is cleverly designed. It has full support despite the flowing lines and the sateen is incredibly thick and sumptuous.
I could see Jennifer Aniston wearing that on the red carpet at The Oscars!
Bet the designer shops get annoyed having to let women that aren't going to buy anything in amd prounce about pretending. Time is money.
Don't go on the show then.
OMG WHAT ON EARTH IS SHE DOING ON A PROGRAME LIKE THAT, FOR REAL, SHE SOUNDED SO POSH ?????
Everyones worn dress #2.
Thinks a lot of herself doesn’t she 😂😂😂& £3,000 for a dress 😮
I feel sorry for the groom.Nothing is ever going to be good enough for this woman (First Bride)
