  • There is no town in the old west that has more exciting American Old West history than the historic Fort Worth, Texas Stockyards. Some of the most famous Gunfighters, Outlaws and Lawmen like Luke Short, Long Hair Jim Courtright, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Bat Masterson and many more spent time in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Even President Theodore Roosevelt visited the Fort Worth Stockyards. There was big money there in the cattle business. In this episode Red tells about the history of the cattle business in the Fort Worth Stockyards and then has a visit with Thomas B. Saunders IV. This is from Red's OFFICIAL youtube channel. In 2009 Red launched his television show, IN THE BUNKHOUSE WITH RED STEAGALL, seen on RFD TV. It ran for four years. His current show on RFD TV is entitled RED STEAGALL IS SOMEWHERE WEST OF WALL STREET. On this channel Red is going to share his TV show episodes as well as never seen before clips that because of time restraints could not be included in his episodes airing on RFD. There will also be some music shared here including Western, Western Swing, Country and Songs of inspiration. Singer, songwriter, poet, author and cowboy Red Steagall, hosts his award winning weekly TV show Red Steagall Is Somewhere West of Wall Street aires on RFD-TV on Mondays at 8:30 PM (CST), Tuesdays at 12:30 AM (CST) and Sundays at 6:00 AM (CST).

Born, raised and currently typing to you from Fort Worth, Texas. I've lived other places, but I always come home. What an excellent presentation of my unique, very interesting city. Thank you for covering this.

I used to have the Stables and outdoor arena just down from.what was Cowboy Hall of Fame and behind what was Cowtown Station. We also had Miss Molly's Bed and Breakfast up Exchange Ave. Great great time. Almost all gone now. A group came in from California and have turned into what they think is the Stockyards. SAD
