  • This Stir Fry Cabbage with Garlic Recipe is very simple and fast. The cabbage is sweet and crunchy, with some caramelized garlic chunks that enhances the flavour with a strong, nutty fragrance and smell. It's really good on its own, or with a plate of white, fluffy rice. Enjoy! Ingredients & Utensils ↓

      Hi thanks, I hv tried follow your recipe. Quite successful but found the stem of cabbage bit hard. Should I cover lid longer than 1 min.

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Donald Trumpet, thanks for letting me know 😄 On the stem, yes you can cover the lid for longer than 1 min, however, it will make the leaves softer. Another way is to cut the stems thinner so that the cooking time will be the same 😄 Hope this helps!

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Margaret Suriya, thank you for the comment 😃 Yes, round beijing cabbage can be used as well. I would suggest to cook it slightly longer as it's firmer and more fibrous. Hope it helps 😃

    It look so watery. marinate with salt to drain out water before cooking

      Hi Haochen Tang, thank you for the suggestion 😄 That's a great idea. Alternatively, the tapioca/ cornstarch slurry can be added to thicken the gravy as well 😄

    Can i add tomatoes?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tonghao Chen, thank you for the question. Yes. Sure you can add tomato in this recipe. Preferably use the tomato that is almost ripe so that the dish won't be too sour. If it is sour, add a little bit of sugar if necessary. Thank you.

      Hi shes & Mahi, For the purpose of making a video clip I put all ingredients in separate small saucers. I do put everything in the pan too when I am not filming. Thanks for the comment.
