I was a roughneck in ND and got into wireline when prices fell for job security. We used overshot for pipe retrievables when a reverse-torque caused a spin off (drill pipe stuck in hole) and the technicality of downhole tools makes me want to become a downhole tool specialist. I strung up many BHA containing MWD tools and their role fascinated me
