Honestly though this is another reason why James is Thomas's most underrated Character. Seriously he's so smart and practically stalks Diesel in order to trick him
1:05 James said if Duck was here to shunt his coaches He paused and then he now feels regret what happened when all of his, Gordon, and Henry’s actions went on Duck
A great way to show why James grew to dislike Diesels. This just makes it better when in certain stories he completes his arc. I can't think of any off the top of my head though.
Ah yes, you’ve brought back my favorite story of yours! I will always admire the several different variant stories on how Diesel got found out and sent packing; and this is definitely up there in my favorites!
Duck: Beg Pardon, James but was it really you who exposed Diesel and cleared my name? How did you do it! James: elementary my dear Duck Duck: you’re going to boast about this for weeks aren’t you? James: ABSOLUTELY! I wouldn’t be James if I didn’t!
I personally think this is a wonderful James episode. He’s always portrayed in a boastful, arrogant, unpleasant engine. Especially in the Brenner Era. But here, it shows him be the hero instead of the antagonist. I love that.
Amazing narration, clever ideas and overall, an amazing story. The only thing i wish Is that diesel told líes about James and Henry, as in, in the RWS story, TFC told duck that diesel told lies about Henry, that way the story alines perfectly. And making a three parter.
This is quite an interpretation of James the red engine, and the middle events between Diesel’s devious deed, and a close shave for Duck. When it comes to time frames, I would say this makes a bit more chronological sense compared to the other version that is Percy‘s ploy. Otherwise, fan work that always delights and sometimes impresses me.
Idea for a story: Fire in the Forest (based on an incident at Briagolong, Australia). James has come to grief with his fuel tankers catching fire so Sir Topham Hatt gives his job to Gordon and Bear takes the express. James will be doing light duties instead. Gordon is upset about pulling fuel trains but Sir Topham Hatt tells him really useful engines don't argue. It is a hot day and when he enters Henry's Forest with his train, where Henry is finding trucks filled with firewood to take away, Gordon's tankers catch fire. Indeed, Henry's Forest does burn down, and so do the firewood trucks and tankers, yet both Henry and Gordon escape alive. Sir Topham Hatt tells Gordon he wants him to know the incident was not his fault, but really useful engines do as they are told. Gordon shall be pulling fuel trains until further notice. Henry, James, Bear and Boco get to share the express
In Rock ‘n’ Roll, when Duncan mentions a “smelly old diesel” (referring to Rusty), James recalls Diesel’s visit and takes credit for “sending him packing”. This is acknowledged in the book and the TV episode as James warping the truth, but it actually happens here.
1:49 why am i convinced you made this episode purely so you can use the Detective James theme by S.A Music XD (It actually fits insanely well) Still a very good episode :3 I like the idea that this makes James saying he sent Diesel packing to Duncan wasn't just him being boastful he was being honest (in the typical showoff James fashion)
Tricks and Deeds is the best episode because it shows how The Fat Controller caught Diesel in the act and sent him packing for spreading lies about Duck to the trucks
Tbh when Desiel is the antagonist my only question is WHY IS THE DRIVER OKAY WITH THIS DOSE HE WANT TO GET FIRED? like topem hat has to have hired these guys to drive these trains WHY ARE THEY GOING AGAINST THERE JOB I question this any time a character dose a actull bad thing and not a accident
James (Me): They're so many things in life that i haven't done Scene cuts to James (Me) in the office on the phone James (Me): Hang on i'll transfer your call
Of course, the fact controller sides with the big engines until he sees the truth I mean, honestly does he really think duck would have the guts to call Gordon James and Henry those names
Tricks and deeds are much better than Percys Ploy because it shows how James catches Diesel talking to the trucks this takes place between dirty work and a close shave
He can't, even if he wanted to. After all, I don't think Trump was born by the time this video was set to take place, which is around the mid to late 50s
Honestly though this is another reason why James is Thomas's most underrated Character. Seriously he's so smart and practically stalks Diesel in order to trick him
*Thomas'
* overrated
james aint underrated
Are you deadass
That is an impressive take on what happened after Duck left. I liked how James turned detective and caught Diesel out.
Thanks! Also I loved your mini series! I remember seeing those when I was growing up!
1:05 James said if Duck was here to shunt his coaches
He paused and then he now feels regret what happened when all of his, Gordon, and Henry’s actions went on Duck
Oh, James. You're as splendid as they come.
You know, if this were canon, then the story he told Duncan would still hold some truth.
A great way to show why James grew to dislike Diesels. This just makes it better when in certain stories he completes his arc. I can't think of any off the top of my head though.

Duck: you’re going to boast about this for weeks aren’t you?

That's so James and I love it.
James (Me): All part of the plan
I personally think this is a wonderful James episode. He’s always portrayed in a boastful, arrogant, unpleasant engine. Especially in the Brenner Era.
But here, it shows him be the hero instead of the antagonist. I love that.
I say both this and Percy’s Ploy are about Diesel blown his cover and the Fat Controller scolded him and leaves off to A Close Shave
You are correct.
But if the fat controller sends diesel packing why does he bring back again
If somebody has made a combination of those two episodes it just kinda feels complete. Kinda like Buzz Buzz and Bulgy merger.
I cracked up as soon as I saw that The Fat Controller was with James! Totally left Diesel realizing that he was caught that time.
Amazing narration, clever ideas and overall, an amazing story. The only thing i wish Is that diesel told líes about James and Henry, as in, in the RWS story, TFC told duck that diesel told lies about Henry, that way the story alines perfectly. And making a three parter.
A Dirty work-A Close Shave side story nice!
That's what Diesel gets for blackmailing Duck and spreading rumors about him to Gordon, Henry, and James. Luckily James' plan worked!
Diesel deserved to be sent home in disgrace for his manipulative behavior.
This is quite an interpretation of James the red engine, and the middle events between Diesel’s devious deed, and a close shave for Duck. Suggestion for a new episode James Longest Day
5:39 i am probably the only one who stay long enough for this
nah i stay for it every time >v
Finally, the hidden story of what happened to Diesel after the Pop Goes the Diesel setup
@JamTrainkid2010 [ON BREAK] but this is another version.
@sharksman20rocks another version is thomas1edward2henry3's version called "devious diesel" and "sent packing"
So James wasn’t just bragging when he told Duncan he sent a diesel packing.
It's still bragging.
@neonfroot still bragging but he was telling the truth in this headcanon
@@LegendaryCaptain
Bragging is excessively showing off the truth of ones feats.
AH NO NOT THE 13TH VAN 3:36
This James truthful story
How could James even see Diesel with Gordon blocking his view? Gordon would be more likely to see him.
It's probably the same reason how engines can tell what another engine's feeling just by looking at their faces despite them both facing the same way.
This adaptation shows how clever james is 😏😏😏
This is now cannon, no one can tell me otherwise
Go after him James

Is that purely an idea for the miller station? Or do you see other people able to adapt this with credit?
@@jackdragon_official they can adapt this with credit
Sounds great! Thanks.@@evanclarke5561
James get suspicious
This sounds like the story that James would have told Duncan about how he supposedly sent Diesel packing.
Where was that?
In Rock ‘n’ Roll, when Duncan mentions a “smelly old diesel” (referring to Rusty), James recalls Diesel’s visit and takes credit for “sending him packing”.
This is acknowledged in the book and the TV episode as James warping the truth, but it actually happens here.
so james really did send diesel packing😭
This is very much similar to Percy's Ploy but done in a different take.
4:08 Do NOT call it that, Sir! That's unprofessional and not what it is called in the first place!
Diesel is just death James is right behind him
I liked the idea of one of the big engines find out about diesel.
Let’s ask Liam miller to write a story of Duck meeting Bill and Ben while he was at Wellsworth
1:49 why am i convinced you made this episode purely so you can use the Detective James theme by S.A Music XD
(It actually fits insanely well)
Still a very good episode :3

Good Work With The Video.

Underrated
Ha Diesel's got caught
at the end of this episode i bet that... you ustn't tell us anymore or you shall spoil the next story
And that's how i sent Diesel packing
James’s golden side
What’s the Credits Music
It would be something if this was one of the actual deleted scenes from the episode
Why was this deleted?
To be moved to this channel
James (Me): They're so many things in life that i haven't done
Scene cuts to James (Me) in the office on the phone
James (Me): Hang on i'll transfer your call
Wasnt that from a Trainboy7 video?
@@neonfroot Yep
Maaaaa booooyyy❤❤ 😂😂😂
What’s the music at 1:49?
Detective James from SA Music
Nice
Of course, the fact controller sides with the big engines until he sees the truth I mean, honestly does he really think duck would have the guts to call Gordon James and Henry those names
Does this take during Percy’s ploy?
Zack And Zara And Erika And Annabelle And Diesel And Kimberly And Rosie And Caillou And Boris And Doris And Mike And Kelly
Tricks and deeds are much better than Percys Ploy because it shows how James catches Diesel talking to the trucks this takes place between dirty work and a close shave
Take Donald Trump with you to Diesel!
He can't, even if he wanted to. After all, I don't think Trump was born by the time this video was set to take place, which is around the mid to late 50s
