her gentle smile fits the harmonious aura of the music and choreography so well. and she keeps the smile during the complex port de bras choreography - an impressive display of both technique and artistry. thank you for sharing.
At 2:15, I’m not sure if Fauré had intended to slow the tempo down quite so much but my, what a beautiful effect. This passage is my favourite part of the variation.
Beautiful. If anyone could make Balanchine relevant again, it would be Jurgita. Balanchine must be mad with joy in his grave. Perfection he could not find in the West.
I would venture to guess that what Balanchine was attempting to ....express, or intimate...about what it means to be a woman, was most existentially wrought in 'Emeralds." What a rock come gem from centuries of oppression ,or pressure, would have anything to do with the journey of women and their bodies and that relation with dance.....well, I have no idea.....what he might have been trying to express....with women's bodies. What could it be?
She is just divine, spontaneous, yet always making everything look effortless.

there's a beautifully intoxicated/intoxicating quality to her bourrees faster and faster and then an ultra-speedy pirouette at the very end.

¿Does exist anything more beautiful than ballet?
Quetzalcoatl Topiltzin certainly not. :)
I don’t think so
She's amazing, beautiful expression and interpretation

how does the Balanchine trust allow this to be on youtube
glad they do
I’m too tall to be a ballerina, but too short to be a rockette.
