You can be picky and not lower your standards. You’re not trying to find a man to fix… you’re smart. Single life is refreshing and freeing. I think its a great thing that more women are coming out to tell their stories about narcissists because honestly , you aren' taught all the signs fully and even if you are warned , its not that simple. You would be amazed how much you can justify or put up with. I know first hand , even being as stubborn as a woman I am. Be wary , stay woke. Even to the others that aren't women. Men , non binary , trust your gut as well and really look into the signs.

Because the only thing worse than dating or marrying somebody who is really toxic or dangerous, is having a child with them and being forever bound to them. Not having a child with them allows you to leave pretty clean, cut comparatively, and you don’t have to risk the welfare of your child in their hands without your control. So I know that that was a horrible experience but simultaneously you’re lucky for it.

My ex used to have 10-20 minute long "phone conversations" with their estranged stalker dad who kept getting their phone number by getting ex-con friends to intimidate my ex's mom. And with the father of my ex's child who died of pancreatic cancer at 8 years old. I pointed out that those people only called when my ex was holding their phone, which was explained away as "unlucky timing" I also pointed out that those people's numbers never appeared in my ex's call log, which was explained away as "I didn't want to have to see their number & remember what they put me through" when I told my ex that they needed to show me the call log next time either of those people called, neither of them called again. So it is certainly possible that Legion was pretending every time.

People like him move fast and push hard to marry right away, because after the papers are signed and the partner is trapped, they can drop the act. They've won. Exact thing happened with my moms second husband.
And yet people will still try their hardest to muster up an excuse as to why the women should also take fault when trapped into these marriages or if the spouse leaves and ends up having a child with them. They'll be told that 'they should've known who they were marrying' like they have the power to read minds.

Also there's instances of abuse and death threats along with blackmail and extortion one party might use over the other to keep them in that marriage. Trust me, it's not as easy as you worded it.

Back in 2012, I had myself a very handsome “wonderful” man! I was divorced, and had never thought I’d find a good guy! Well, the engagement ring after 3 months should’ve been my first clue! Within 1 year, he’d gotten me into debt, my car repossessed, and I was behind on my own mortgage! I’m happy it only took me a year! He was a closet alcoholic, absolute slob, and a cheater with no money! He’d drained my accounts, and I allowed it!
That is scary. The same thing happened to my Dad. His estranged wife ruined his life for a while.

She’s really lucky that she had the miscarriage. Because the only thing worse than dating or marrying somebody who is really toxic or dangerous, is having a child with them and being forever bound to them. Not having a child with them allows you to leave pretty clean, cut comparatively, and you don’t have to risk the welfare of your child in their hands without your control. So I know that that was a horrible experience but simultaneously you’re lucky for it.

My ex used to have 10-20 minute long "phone conversations" with their estranged stalker dad who kept getting their phone number by getting ex-con friends to intimidate my ex's mom. And with the father of my ex's child who died of pancreatic cancer at 8 years old. I pointed out that those people only called when my ex was holding their phone, which was explained away as "unlucky timing" I also pointed out that those people's numbers never appeared in my ex's call log, which was explained away as "I didn't want to have to see their number & remember what they put me through" when I told my ex that they needed to show me the call log next time either of those people called, neither of them called again.
So it is certainly possible that Legion was pretending every time.
Prime example why people are so mistrusting now. Why is being genuine such a hard thing? If you don’t love yourself enough to be honest, don’t engage in any relationship. This guy needs serious psychological help
