A REEDSY editor just finished editing my debut novel and said it's excellent and he can't wait for it to appear on the shelves. I can't say enough for this editor and REEDSY. I'm so glad I picked them.
Hi would you mind sharing their name I am working on a middle grade novel. I looking for reccomendations. Thank you so much
My editor’s name is Chris Evans. Very helpful. Remarkably perceptive observations. Good interpersonal skills. Recommend highly.
How do you reach the reedsy editors to work with?

@@dewilderdbetterI love that he shares a name with a famous actor
I love her, she breaks all the normal patterns of how you should write..and makes it possible for everyone to consider
I write every day during happy hour in the passenger seat of my car parked in a cemetery. Works for me... quiet and stories are in the air.
This was great! Only caught part of it live, but watched the replay. I absolutely loved Anna's whole attitude towards life and her writing. Consider me inspired!
Loved every minute of the replay. Re-afirmed some things I do. Learned a few new things. Thank you Anna and Tom! One needs these from time to time. And it was "that time" for me.
This was an excellent interview! Would love to hear even more from Anna!
I started with Writing A Novel with Tom. EXCELLENT and have never looked back....second book out next year
This was really great. I love these videos. Reedsy is just amazing.
Thank you very much Anna for sharing your writing experience with us.
I really enjoyed listening to the interview with Anna. She was very inspiring, open and generous with her words. I managed to land two novels with Austin Macauley publishers over in the UK. I'm thinking of writing a sequel to one if them, but I'm finding it hard to get started.
As witty and cheeky as it can get. Loved it @Anna & @Bromley do
Grateful to Anna for mentioning some of the concerns before beginning a novel, particularly care-giving, which can be erratic and demanding. Thank you for the encouragement! 💕
Este vídeo me salio en el momento perfecto, he estado dudando de escribir porque no encuentro momentos "adecuados", aprendí demasiado con este vídeo, muchas gracias 🙌
This was excellent. you are fantastic - thank you!
Is anyone else struck by the irony that we are watching an almost 1.5 hour long video about avoiding procrastination and discussing the insights from a 208-page book to help get on with writing...? 😄
Learning/studying is also a form of procrastination!
It's a "Let me get better before I write" mindset.
A note on First Line Frenzy. I notice the editor they use has rules like don't start with description (v 19th century apparently) don't start with dialogue or waking up, dreams. Yet most modern literary fiction breaks all of these rules.
Greetings from Sydney Australia to everyone here!! Sending positive vibes for your exciting writing journey ahead 💜🩵💜🩵💜
I'm procrastinating now so hard to get back into
Hey guys! Calling in from Arizona.
Hi everyone...calling in from Denmark
I shall be immersed in writing the final draft of a non_fiction travel book
Best wishes for your completion of it!
please notify me thanks
Mine's medieval fiction adventure.
You may find my personal experiences interesting. This year I published my book SANDSTONE RHYTHM in English. A 20-year history of visits to the national parks of the former Wild West. It recently received a 5 star review.
I'm happy to share what I know on the subject - if you like. Tom H Cooper
I am currently editing my 8th book.
I just have to do more research for my medieval novel.
Hi, at what time (NEW YORK TIME) will the replay become available? About how long does the class run?
The replay is available! With future live events, you can always rewind and start watching from the beginning 🙂
I just want see how I can get on something like reedsby once my book is on the shelves and then have my show about writers and authors
I was hoping to hear more from Anna about writing. Instead, I'm getting a long advertisement from Tom for his class.
If you watch the replay, you'll find an hour-long conversation with Anna-you can fast-forward through the course pitch if you've seen it once already :)
How can I get that book Madam Anna. I need that book badly.
Must you go so long on Reedsy courses? I came here to get motivation to write... ^^"
Also, do these topics relate to both fiction and non-fiction?
Notifications for when writing courses start are available where?
When you sign up at reedsy.com/learning , you'll get regular notifications as we announce new start dates :)
Good morning. I really need help with concept mapping. Can this be covered too by any chance?
The first Prep Week of the Tom's course is focused on refining your idea. You can access those 5 lessons when you pick a start date! reedsy.com/learning
Where can one find The Alchemy?
Anywhere books are sold 😃
Hello from NYC. Anna a question regarding when you meet your main characters randomly. Do you continue on with the persons story from the brief moment you witnessed them? .
The email says it starts 7am Sydney time, which is in just over 2 hours. But this notification in the bottom left of the TH-cam window says just over 1 hour. What's the story? (pun intended???)
It starts in a minute.
Hopefully, you caught it live! If not, the replay is now available.
I want to read that book The Alchemy Madam Anna. Please how can I have that book. I'm in the Philippines.
Is this event typical of one of the novel writing classes?
There is a weekly live event, and those vary in structure - some feature guest authors (like this one), others are live editing sessions, and others are Tom's lessons on specific topics. Besides the weekly live events, students get access to 93 video master classes.
there are some classes that I've been in that has something to do with written literature
Hello everyone! just join did I miss anything important? I am a writer and author.
Hi - Any ideas for me who is writing a sort of memoir that includes celebrities I’ve known throughout my life? (all true and my experiences with the famous & infamous who are actually just people with more money) I dunno if it seems tacky or the like saying it like that … Thanx - you’re wonderful … Karon Bihari from NY
Not sure about the specific laws of your country, but in some places you could be sued by the people mentioned in your book.
If you could consult a lawyer, that'd be great.
Otherwise, you can trust your instincts. Either way, good luck with the book! 💜
I'm interested with Non-Fiction Writing, but I noticed it's not among your courses.
We have a number of free 10-day courses on non-fiction writing. This might be a good one to start with: blog.reedsy.com/learning/courses/writing/writing-non-fiction/
Yayy
I've always wanted to be some kind of author weather it's a poet or a co writer
How about people who are supersensitive who need complete peace to write? No room is ever found or spot that suits this. There is always something in the way, like fear of non-stop ideas going nowhere or never finishing, or not making sense out of it, or being lead here and there by characters or visions that keep going never to offer structure only detail and stimulus of the five senses...fear of the mountains they've erected you're reluctant to see weaved together etc etc..I suppose the whole issue is a sense of being LOST. If Tolkien didnt have a publisher put his mess together he would have never had a story. I get lost in plot and details and have no idea who is playing in the story, just a faint idea. Characters are the last thing I can seem to develop. P.S. I have numerous little pen pots all over the house too............
