*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ Love The Spade ! I was on Peacock the other night watching an SNL episode from like '91 and he did the Spade In America, hosted by Ed O'Neal (Al Bundy).
I’ve been marathon watching Fly on the Wall and I guess the algorithm brought me to SmartLess, which is bonus, great pod cast. Going to look for some more recent .
Roast humor is so cringe, I'm sure it sucks for comedians in that position where they feel obligated to say mean jokes just for the "scenario" and its all just boomer humor traditions no one will let go of and no one finds funny anymore, I bet we see an end to it now LOL
It's been a bit since I've listened to this episode. The last time I listened to it I felt like I needed it because I was going through an incredibly difficult time and was having such bad anxiety but this episode helped me so much during that time. I know it's just people talking but it's amazing how much it helped.
Just listened to this for the 3rd time and I love it everytime!!!! I love the seafood talk. Just a great funny conversation. So blessed to have Smartless!!!
I almost spit out my coffee when I heard Spade say that he couldn't do what Chris Rock does during awards shows, making jokes right to people's faces. He's got good instincts.
I just have to say, that Will Arnett manifested the most informative example of a "type" to me. I did not originally like him but the fully narcissist yet trying to be human role of Job on AD, helped me cope with a terrible part of my life. The point here is, I really appreciate his acting skill and thank you for going all in. Combine him with Buster ladies, and you have all you need to know. Thank you actors, for acting.
That HBO young comedians special was the first thing I saw him on. I wore that vhs tape out watching it over and over. He was by far the funniest and I was super excited when I found out he was going to be on SNL.
I keep coming back to this episode. Best one to fall asleep to. That is a compliment his audiobook did the same thing. Get on those Calm apps, read stories to help people sleep. You will make a fortune!
Finally!!! An interview that the person just talks about themselves - not a bit!!! I've been watching Late Night TV for 50+ years (yikes!) and the comedians are always doing bits. I love them so much but like to hear about how they got where they are. You boys did it!!! I'm hooked on the podcast!
Ever since I got the itch to try comedy writing, I can only think of shows with David Spade in mind. His storytelling is the kind you wish your teachers had to make boring shit more fun. 💗from phx🌵
Spade's 98 cold opening of SNL with Brad Pitt is classic. Take the Hit special is Epic as well David on Dennis's talk show all so funny. Hollywood Minute, Don't Shoot Me. Tommy Boy, Black Sheep. The Do over, The Grown ups and Joe Dirt's , The Sand man has to get the gang together for another Comedy movie baby!
Dear Smartless, I am an incredibly grateful fan of your podcast. It brings me joy! But if I may, and I think I speak for everyone, can you please put time stamps in your videos? Tapping my phone screen 30 times makes me feel like a herion addict on a button released fentanyl drip. We would greatly appreciate it. Your podcast is so amazing! - Sincerely One Entitled Piece of Shxt ✔️
😂Sean's promo around 17:40... 24-hour odor production. Sign me up. Stink like a$s all day and while I sleep? Yes. Hey Native, give me a ring. I can pronounce words (so am overqualified) but won't disappear. Sorry, disappoint.
I'm sort of (though not entirely) surprised that you have to put your name on the sketch you wrote, I would have thought there was at least a chance it was more of a meritocracy where maybe you'd find out after, but I thought going in they'd just read it and if it's funny it's funny.
Comedy Central wanted to go in a more The Office rerun direction.Their best programming move since Battlebots replaced UCB. Sadly, I feel I need to say this has been sarcasm.
Easily my favorite episode. I can re listen to that sea food story over and over 🤣
I'm not the only one! I think I've heard it 20+ times and I can't stop coming back. Shit is hilarious.
i can't stop laughing. the entire seafood bit. it's so random soft serve topic, and yet here we are
David Spade is such a good story teller. he's retelling stories is just as entertaining as the actual event 🙌
David Spade is freaking hilarious!!!! Thank god you got him on! He's crushing!

This was so entertaining. Laugh out loud funny. Spade’s busboy story was awesome.
LOL I love how he brought up Chris Rock making jokes at celebrities faces

I was doubled over at work with laughter when Spade went on about being a busboy 😆. I always enjoy when Jason can't control his laughter
I love DS! And this was the best Smartless to date - he should fill in if any of you are busy/sick!
Best ep to date! Spade is best. Hearing you all laugh so hard was healing.

Hello!! This episode with David Spade was FUNNY!! and I was laughing out loud. 🙂😊
Spade is the best guest on anything. Whenever I see him on something it’s an immediate listen/watch
I listen to this while I rock my baby in the night and I could not stop laughing. Poor kid didn’t have a chance of staying asleep hahaha
That HBO young comedians special was the first thing I saw him on. I wore that vhs tape out watching it over and over. He was by far the funniest and I was super excited when I found out he was going to be on SNL.
Spade continues to be one of the best talk show/podcast guest in the history of the universe 🔥🔥
David Spade always makes me laugh, he is by far one of the most talented comedians ever!
This is one of the funniest podcasts I've ever heard.
I keep coming back to this episode. Best one to fall asleep to. That is a compliment his audiobook did the same thing. Get on those Calm apps, read stories to help people sleep. You will make a fortune!
Love Spade-one of the funnest/funniest episodes they’ve done.
Finally!!! An interview that the person just talks about themselves - not a bit!!! I've been watching Late Night TV for 50+ years (yikes!) and the comedians are always doing bits. I love them so much but like to hear about how they got where they are. You boys did it!!! I'm hooked on the podcast!

They should have signed off with David’s flight attendant catchphrase, “Buh-byEEEEEEEE!”
Omg!! That would of been PERFECT!! Lmao😂
Spade is still the GOAT of making me laugh. Goddamn that guy is so quick.

I agree!!
Whoa Jason thanks for the memory jog, The Odyssey was my weekend haunt back in the early 80's!
David had me using my asthma puffer. 🤣
The four of them need to be in a movie together
If you never experienced the Spade story of trying to impress a date with a K-Mart hat on the Norm MacDonald Live show, you're missing out.
"I'm crushing!"
Loved it! lol it’s a tare down. It has a tennis court! Then bring two rackets and some dynamite! lol 😅🎉
WOW! Prescient, taped one week before the Oscars.
Spade's 98 cold opening of SNL with Brad Pitt is classic. Take the Hit special is Epic as well
David on Dennis's talk show all so funny. Hollywood Minute, Don't Shoot Me. Tommy Boy, Black Sheep. The Do over, The Grown ups and Joe Dirt's , The Sand man has to get the gang together for another Comedy movie baby!

OMG, so funny -- the seafood!
Thank you Will Arnett, for putting some spice in that meatball.
Wrong Missy was hilarious
Cholesterol is actually good for you. Like my Grandma used to say 'Everything is good in moderation'
Spade is awesome...but all I want is Kevin Neelin stories

Hey Native, give me a ring. I can pronounce words (so am overqualified) but won't disappear. Sorry, disappoint.
Gonna watch "Nothing Personal" after this...
The only regret is you didn't talk about Joe Dirt, a fantastic film.
I'm sort of (though not entirely) surprised that you have to put your name on the sketch you wrote, I would have thought there was at least a chance it was more of a meritocracy where maybe you'd find out after, but I thought going in they'd just read it and if it's funny it's funny.
Geezus what was that ten minutes of ads?
Why can't we get video guys ?
Does Tracy ever go I know what you’re talking about ?
Comedy Central wanted to go in a more The Office rerun direction.Their best programming move since Battlebots replaced UCB. Sadly, I feel I need to say this has been sarcasm.
i gotta be honest- i listen for #1) Sean, #2) Jason, #3) are they replacing Prince William soon?
Where'S thE vIdeO¿?

Wait. Odyssey, Jason? I used to go there when I was a kid. 😔
Why don't you guys make this a video podcast? Just use MS teams or something if you don't have expensive cameras.
Lol if they don’t have expensive cameras?
It's the weekend. Amy, give the kid a break. Akso did Spade take the laugh from Carvey?
this needs to be on video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pls pls pls

Fiber may lower your cholesterol. Whole wheat pasta and brown rice helped me get mine from 199 to 147 in a year. Blessings
