Hi Vijay we recommend using mono to increase your pull rate. Rather lose the odd fish and get more pulls. If the shad are wild then change over to steel. But rather start your session on mono. Hope that helps. Tight lines.
Good morning. What will be the best trace to put out currently at Winklespruit? If not the same as in this video can you please supply a link on suggested trace setup?
This trace is excellent. But if you can get your hands on a live bait, then try this trace. Winkle is the spot to fish at the moment! th-cam.com/video/euog02RYgg4/w-d-xo.html
Good day, I’m headed to Scottburgh around mid-June 2022 and would love to target a Garrick. If going the throw bait route 1) any tips for where to throw a bait? Off the beach? Off the point? And 2) would we use a sinker?
The rocky point works really well. If you don't have any luck there you can look for a nice sand bank with a trough and put your drift bait or live bait there and also work a stick bait through the same area. The dead sardine drift bait doesn't need a sinker, but if you want to slide a live bait them you will need a sinker. Give us a call during work hours and chat to any one of our experienced sales staff regarding Garrick, they will be able to give you further advice, especially Ray or Michael Vlcek: 031 368 3903 Tight lines and enjoy your trip!
thank you Kingfisher and Ray, we enjoy the tips and information to help us catch a few more fish, thank you so much.
Thanks for the comment Subash. Tight lines :)
Hi Ray, would you recommend using steel wire instead of mono, possibility of a shad taking it? Thanks

@@TheKingfisherFishing thank you
Great video and instruction. Any reason why you don't run a second hook on the deadbait for better hookup? Also, is the Maxima Ultra Green line?
Thanks! Can you also use this rig for targeting kingfish? And the live bait throw trace for kingfish?
Yes absolutely! A GT will be all over that throw bait.
In the trace do you use a sinker
If not how would you fish it the way you'll did it in the video
No sinker for this trace, you're using the weight of the sardine to cast. So cast out the sard, let is sink and wait or slow retrieve.
Hi Ray. Thanks for the tips.
But just out of curiosity, how would we rig up a dead sard for garrick if we use circle hooks? Is it recommended?
We don't recommend using a circle hook as it will tear through. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Where can we get (buy) live bait?
You won't be able to buy live bait, but you can try spinning spoons for shad in the surf zone.

Good day...
Just wanted to know if there's a online store?
Not yet, but it is in the pipeline...
Buat troling bisa pa gak master?
Tidak mungkin untuk mengerjai ikan sarden yang dipancingnya ke belakang. Untuk menjebak umpan mati, ia harus berenang terlebih dahulu.
