    What is the ideal loading (rpm) of a diesel engine in order to complete dpf passive regeneration in the shortest amount of time and with the minimum amount of fuel? Thank you for your reply

    C + O2 --> CO2
    C + NO2 --> CO2 + 1/2 N2

    Hello 👋 I know that soot is the sub-product of a poor combustion process of diesel fuel. In fact soot is just fuel that isn't completely burnt. Why engine designers don't focus on the output of soot by optimizing the combustion process inside the cylinders instead of putting a particulate filter just before the discharge into the environment. Has this kind of combustion optimization already reached his maximum limit (potential) in terms of technology development? Thank you for your answer
