CARS cause serious injuries in collisions with pedestrians, not the damn lights. I'd rather hurt my arm on a miata's headlights than have my entire upper body shredded by a pickup truck's grille.
They are loved and need to make a comeback. Any reason for them being a problem is BS. There are numerous things on cars that people like that are unnecessary, pop ups should still be one of them
Long story short, larger trucks are immune to CAFE standards, aka they don't need to be regulated to be fuel efficient because they are so large, which makes companies more willing to produce those. It's also a self-fulfilling prophecy because more big trucks on the road means more people want to buy big trucks to be safe if there's a crash.
There is a max height of 54 inches and they should be no more than 36" at 100' or the height of the headlight what ever is lower for projector lights and need to illuminate the ground for 165'. (There is still a minimum height of 22") You are getting blinded by people who them adjusted poorly since aiming them properly gives bad visibility in tall vehicles. Or some one illegally lifted their car and did not move the lights. We really need auto leveling lights and to bring that nmrange to like 12-36" for projector housings.
It's not like properly adjusted headlights give poor visibility. It's the giant hood occluding so much of the visible field that it looks like it is giving poor visibility.
Porsche developed the 924 for Volkswagen, who wasn't sure whether or not they were going to badge it as a Volkswagen or an Audi. But then they changed their mind at the last minute, so Porsche bought the project and produced it on their own. Hagerty has a great video on it's history if you're interested

all this and the cybertruck is allowed to roam the streets with sharp edged panels and a front trunk that can chop off fingers

as someone that used to live in the snow, id rather they stay gone.

Why do trucks need to be some god damn large today, fr
whenever i see a big american ute like a ranger or ram theyre always parked in at least 2 spots at once
cause theyre trucks and should be used as trucks and not daily commuters for teenage boys going to school and back
Look at Reason's video on this 😉"Why are there more SUVs on the road?"

@@UrbanTomfoolery I always associate utes with small normal car sized pickups, calling american trucks utes makes utes look bad
