Good stuff! They were going for 429 EUR here in Germany a few weeks ago, so I quickly convinced 2 people to buy them. No regrets so far, this phone is lovely!
After over a year of having it, never a problem, always smooth, still looks good, runs fast, takes awesome pics and still sounds THE BEST through earphones. Definitely an underrated GEM of a phone and the best of 2016! People need to stop drinking the Kool Aid of other marketing monster manufacturers.
Naldy Diaz it’s not drinking cool aid if u love infinity edge screen or apple's iOS software. As good phone this is the Samsung s8 is better. For its price it’s great though. (Ps I love this phone)
After 3 years this phone is still fantastic. I mean i bought it new 3 months after launch. For 99.99. On a 2 year contract. I've kept it on marshmallow. It never gives me problems. So we'll built. Sound thru headphones is seriously unbeatable. Camera is really good. Underrated in fact. Battery still lasts easily all day after 3 years!! And phone still flies. Doesn't stutter at all. I'm truly amazed I don't even desire to upgrade!
Tough times for HTC but I still believe they can release a phone that is worth our attention. Please use metal, great camera and no more "poor use of space" please.
MyRealName as an HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6 ex owner I do agree with you, but at some extent: the device was as bad when it was released because they rushed it, but time helped upgrading camera algorithms and qualcomm constant patches helped taming the Snapdragon 810; one thing was not their fault, the other one was indeed. This year they're making it right not rushing and waiting until it's really ready, let's hope it's for the best
m9 is and was a very good phone, replaced my s6 edge for it, no regrets, smooth af and speakers are amazing. I hope they dont change the screen to amoled, they are super blueish. Ips all day everyday.
I just want to say this: The main reason I started following PocketNow was because of your reviews, they were relaxing, good, humane and objective. It was sad when I heard that you stopped, until I saw you would go on, but on your own. Your videos are of the best quality I've seen, matching MKBHD and surpassing him with your storytelling. Thanks and keep up the great work, it's greatly appreciated!
Still using the HTC10 in 2020! The aluminum case is a bit battered after I've dropped it numerous times, but everything is original and still works. The audio DAC and sound quality is still unsurpassed.
@@roboteen unfortunately no, I tried to replace the battery and ended up destroying the screen in the process of taking it apart 😢 Using a Sony Xperia 1 mk 2 now.
Standard Operating Procedure: click on one of Mr. Mobile's videos, like it, then proceed with watching. In all honesty, and I think it goes without saying, each of your videos has been of top notch quality, and earns you good standings among the TH-cam tech community. Keep up the good work. : )
I'd also like to add that I'm really enjoying these posts in which you take a second look at devices already reviewed. I find it all too often that a newly released device is not so much as reviewed, as it, instead, has its features discussed/ overviewed. This, I find, provides a better perspective as to what it is like to live with a device on a daily basis, for months at a time, much like an average consumer.
Dewaynes Awesome I have the HTC One m8 and it's the best and most reliable phone ever, 3 years of super heavy use and not even a single problem and not even a frozen screen and it still performs excellent just like the first day I got it despite using a 64gb micro SD card. HTC One m8 surely is the legend of all smartphones.
I really enjoy how "nostalgic" you are about technology, I identify myself on that, we can really see that you apreciate it. Like that video about the palm pre and this one! I still catch myself willing to buy an old nokia phone, just for, you know, hobby. Keep the good work, your videos are among the top on quality and content! Thanks!
I just bought this under a month ago, coming from an HTC M8. Im disappointed they dropped the dual front speakers, but loving the metal back. Also, side note, very disappointed they dropped their factory gallery and music apps, and their legendary Sense Keyboard. They were innovations way ahead of their time.
HTC M8 user here as well. I am using Fleksy keyboard right now and I love it. Still wouldn't feel that it is worth to buy the HTC 10 over the M8.. I can't seem to find anything that will really top it. Maybe a OP 3T with better audio quality and a 2K resolution.
I purchased my 10 three months ago for it's aptx Bluetooth streaming capability and l'm thoroughly satisfied with it. I run an after market audio set up in my vehicle and it provides better quality audio through Bluetooth than my IPhone or iPod. I did the update as soon as it was out of the box and have had no problems at all. It is refreshingly free of bloat ware and it charges very quickly. You nailed it on this review Mr. Mobile.
These re-reviews are the best. I really want to keep seeing them more often as it tends to be a problem for new buyers to decide to go with a new model or an old one. Kudos Mr. Fisher.
I love my 10. After watching your first review I went and bought it due to the high quality dac. Haven't looked back since. Android. 7.0 is smooth as butter on my device
Your reviews are calming, your voice is soothing,God your precessional videos are simply perfect!! Your reviews are very different from other reviewers maybe because they have more that sense of relaxation to them. I watch your videos every night and drop my phone on my face a couple of times but still, you're amazing!!
I got the HTC 10 last week for a $50 upgrade. I had the One M9 before. This is MILES better. I love it. and as before with the M9 the battery would die out with heavy use around 4pm. This phone is lasting me more than a full day, I'm honestly shocked. Doesnt hurt that it also charges from 0 to 100 in 1 hour. Run Nova launcher and this thing is a BEAST.
Sir... There's a lot going on in your video's, I mean there's soo much of quality in them!!! I usually find myself off lining your and listening to many times them just for the rich voice and quality!! Too good..
Got my HTC March. The rules are: 1. Root, S-Off 2. Delete the bloatware. 3. Change rom/ Kernal. Add Greenify/ ForceDoze (To kill motion sensors during sleep) 4. Shut down all of Google Play Services analytics, crash reporting, usage stats, ad services, and all other creepy background services that crush your battery while you sleep. My HTC 10 loses 0.3% battery per hour while resting, 6 hours SOT, Free Wi-Fi tethering. battery, signal, wi-Fi icons on the left, full UI customization, Viper 4 Android audio, and huge contact photo size on incoming calls (No mesh overlay). Coming from the S7, it's the best phone I've owned to date.
The editing on this one is psychedelic and totally immersive. Merged with the tight camerawork and your voice over, watching it only made me wish I would purchase the HTC 10. Thank you for being mobile and sharing.
@@vin_dutch_dj HTC U12+ seems like a good HTC upgrade if you still like HTCs skin and emphasis. ROG Phone 2 is the best phone at the moment aside from size and perhaps look with S10+ for a sleeker look and cheaper on Amazon. Razer Phone is the best audio/video experience aside from ROG but worse camera. If you CAN wait HTC stated they'd release a phone next year. Otherwise you have to see what you care about. For me it's audio and visuals and price. If not for price I'd go for ROG but cause of it and not wanting any notch I'm probably going U12+. Hope it helps! Samsung S10e is also cheaper if you don't want the + and its the same size as the HTC 10! Pretty good sound and amazing screen with flagship everything else. Just the hole punch I couldn't get over.
Hey fisher ... this is Singh from India .... it is always knowledgeable to see your videos coz of best review frankly i use to watch your videos but never subscribed .... m a big user of htc and this is the 4th time i am using htc again...from htc chacha to htc desire 826, i was about to switch my htc one x9 to samsung galaxy s7 but finally i opted htc 10. thanks to you
I have no idea who determines the prices of HTC phones, but he or she needs to get fired. I understand HTC is aiming for the premium segment, but its competitors offer way more features and there are phones on par with the 10 that are way cheaper. And then the U gaffe... things are not looking well for HTC, folks.
I love the way you talk about technology, it really shows how much you like it, your jokes are hooked as hell and your voice tone invites to continue listening until life ends. The day I knew that you ended with pocketnow was a sad day, but when I first knew about Mr. Mobile was like caming back to the origins. You're a legend MICHAEL FISHER
it's 2020 and I decided to buy this phone in good condition not the newest Samsung. I love sturdy things. Respects to HTC. I wish they would get back into phone business and show the rest how a phone must be made.
Thank you, Thank you Michael for this second look! As a seasoned M8 owner (WITH front-facing Beats) I never moved to the 10, both in price, and on simple durability & FEEL of the M8! It bookstall a secondary role - as a daily goto radio device (FM still on the 10?), behind Nexus6 & iPhone6 (I run an ageing BlackBerry too, so can't wait for your final opinion on the KEYone release version!). Can't say I'm a fan of glass - only suffer it on an Xperia Compact because it's a gorgeous phone and camera, though really too small for my thick digits! Keep 'me coming, and Stay Mobile my friend! ;)
Nice review, this review pushed me over to buying it. I've had the Nexus 6 since they first came out, really enjoyed it. Then a mishap I busted the screen pretty bad. I went to buy the new Pixel and the price is obscene! I could not justify spending that amount of money for a bloody phone, no way in hell. I checked out the HTC 10 which is $499 on their site, I can live with that. Plus they state the manufacture software can be uninstalled and not locked in. The spec's look good and this review was the final thing to push me over. I'm looking forward to receiving it. Thanks for a good review! Cheers
Why does the U Ultra get so much shit? I have been using that since launch and other than the somewhat poor battery life it is a pretty damn good device. It runs way better than my V20 and it hasn't struggled to run anything I throw at it, plus is freaking beautiful.
I had apps crash frequently on my V20, I also had it restart randomly. The second display on the U Ultra doesn't lag when swiping from panel to panel when the main screen is off like it does on my V20.
Datafiend no body said it's a bad phone but it doesn't have Wireless charging water proof headphone jack IR plaster and they can fit all of that easily not only that his capacity buttons are small where they can make it bigger doesn't even have bigger bettery than the last year flagship (htc 10) uses snapdragon 821 from the last year and all of that with a price tag 800/700$ WHAT THE FUCK HTC (I'm not really sure of the price but i know it very high) don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a bad phone it's actually a really good phone but the problem of this phone is his high price, i mean if it was in 300/400$ i will buy it no doubt about that.
Glad you're liking this phone and have thought about making a video on it. I used it for a week recently, really wanted to experience HTC again. I have tried throughout the year various android phones, S7, S7 edge among them, they don't compare to HTC 10. It has its short comings, wish the ratios would've been better for that screen size, and the back smoother, but it's a solid built phone with an amazing screen (can't stand Amoleds at all). Too bad they're not willing to put more effort into this phones.. HTC really had what it takes, just never enough.
Since you shortly showed ZTE Axon 7 in the video, I can't believe you have not made a dedicated review for it. It's such a great phone with a low price, even less than Oneplus 3T, yet 3T is getting 10 times more attention and reviews.
Honestly glad so many people out there seem to love the Axon 7, but I'm not one of them. Yes, the speakers are good and the price is right ... but its design borders on tacky and its software is plain bad. Toss in a camera that I consider pretty average ... and there's just no way I'd ever recommend it over the 3T.
Exactly. I have been a fan of the Samsung and HTC phones since android cupcake but finally gave ZTE a chance and it is 90% there with 50% price of those big boy phones. Proud owner of ZTE Axon Pro.
Amir Lashkari It's build quality also outdoes a lot of phones too. I got to see it in person. If I remember correctly Juan Bagnell and Michael said it 'broke' their sound test or something like that.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] Interesting point of view Michael, although I don't agree with you but I respect it. Anyways, I never said it should be recommanded over the 3T or not, but it just deserves a review.
Hey Michael. Great work, as usual. I'm an HTC guy, have had the 10 for a year. How does the DAC in the Pixel compare to that in the 10? Also, how does the Pixel battery compare to the 10? I love my 10 but the battery and sunglass thing is bringing me down. Cheers.
I never understood why it failed. It was so beautiful and strong with serious specs. If I didn't have a phone I would have buy it for sure. It was THE phone to get.
I'm still using my HTC 10 which is in pristine condition, I might add. I'm planning to get the Galaxy S8 but I'm not going to sell this HTC like I did my old HTC One M8, when I switched to the Galaxy S6. ..boy did I regret that because the S6 was awful lol.
sunny eclectech i went through the exact same sequence of phones regret giving up my m8 for the s6 got rid of that crap to get the 10 and I'm thinking of getting the s8
Juan Carlos Alpízar because of that overheating snapdragon 810? OnePlus 2, HTC m9, s6 created a lot of stir then, Sony z5 premium overheating also. LGV10, lg g4, note 5, iPhone 6s were good I thought.
lg v10 and G4 had bootloops, which leave us 2 phones for a year. The S6 sucked big time, I owned one. Which leave us a phablet with a small battery and wasn't available in all markets and the iPhone which is not even android related. What an amazing year right?
sunny eclectech Samsung phones sound great before buying them cause Samsung pumps up so much money in marketing but after 6 months of use they slow down so dramatically and give shot lots of problems but HTC phones don't sound great before buying them but feel great throughout its ownership cause they are the best. super happy owner of HTC One m8 for 3 years and never seen any problems from it not even a frozen screen despite super heavy use on daily basis and it still performs excellent.
I would rename the video title to review Re-Do to match the others in the series and include that in the thumbnail. other than that, solid work Michael!
If I had spare funds I would gladly have purchased the HTC 10. It is a gorgeous phone. HTC makes solid products. I still own (and use rather frequently) an HTC Desire 601. Even though the 601 is only a mid-range model (to the HTC One M8 ), it performs superbly and I will never give it up until it dies of natural causes, which should be still years and years and years away. As far as I am concerned, HTC is 'the other Samsung', and that is a high compliment.
I just upgraded to 10 from an M8 for $240 on Sprint. Not bad for a flagship phone. Loving the "one year later reviews." I'll get it tomorrow, can't wait to try it out!
great phone for high quality music on the go. listening to Paul McCartney "New" flac files. 196khz & 24 bit, with my audio profile set up, and HTC pro studio earphones. probably the most pleasant way to listen to music on any smart phone. 😊
cwardlow7 maybe they're planning something big and wanna make sure to keep the surprise until the release, something leaking makes impossible. Whatever it is, real kudos for it, in today's world it's really hard to work unnoticed in the world of mobile
Love this! I was such a fan of HTC a few years ago. It started with the One X, One X+ and then the amazing M7. The build quality was always top-notch and the software wasn't bad at all for that time. Then I fell in love with Nexus and it was all over between me and HTC. Solid review. Made me miss HTC...
You're my favourite reviewer, partly because you're clearly a HTC die-hard fan, like me lol. Still a great phone, Nougat has made it snappier and smoother. Am not tempted to upgrade yet, will see what the 11 and the Pixel 2 bring though (and the S8 is also very tempting).
Mrmobile I agree with you on everything you said.I also Love the Footage.I kept rewinding the Video so I could take in the great footage which by the way I really enjoyed. Then I went back because I was admiring the phone collection which by the way I had the chance to check out all but the very First one.Awesome Review as I think this was one of my favorites.Keep up the Great Reviews appreciate it Deb
The htc 10 was and unfortunate flop. I love this device, but literally no one bought it. HTC should keep up the good work and maybe they can release a phone like the one m8 again. It was my favourite ever. Also, amazing review! Your detail never ceases to impress me!
Thnx far highlighting all the curves of this baby. Really fell for it. Reminds me why I obsessivelykeep watching reviews. Those edges are addictive. Can't Stop thinking about how good it must feel to hold it.
Mr Mobile. I am your huge fan. I watch your video "phone you are not buying in 2016" That video was to the point. You very intelligently highlight the cons of HTC 10. Few days after buying HTC 10 i watch that video and realize it was big mistake buying HTC 10. I like points where you said: 1) Speaker is not good 2) Outdoor visibility is bad 3) Lag after nougat update 4) Not Water proof. Some points i wanna add 1) Missing HTC Apps. Being a music phone how can they skip that. I have used Sony apps on windows phone. It does improve audio quality. Not only via headphone but also speakers. Sony album app loads photo faster. Sony video app enhance audio and screen(depends on device capabilities). Sony walkman app improve audio as well, not only that it provide information related to movies and songs, so we need at least important brand exclusive apps like Harmon Kardon edition of M8 was having Harmon Kardon app 2) Updates: USA receive Nougat update in November. We receive Nougat update on end of January 3) WiFi connectivity problem 4) Bad resale value but expensive, that combination hurts. Mr Mobile i have one question. Do you get extremely blurry and Noisy images inside home? I went to HTC service center. After keeping my phone for 25 days, they said to use PRO mode all time while taking picture. Pro mode does reduce blurriness but how to resolve that issue in Video mode. I take most of the pictures and Videos inside my home. It is a biggest setback for me. Despite all this cons HTC 10 is the most beautiful looking phone of 2016.
Ricardo117 there is a leak that next device won't have any side button and will feature a full metal body, with sensitive side.(I don't know if that's true or not)
Great video as usual. I like my HTC 10 and you nailed the strong suits and short comings of the device. In closing you hoped HTC would build on the 10, me too... but it seems like they're going in a different direction with this "U" series of devices. I also think HTC needs to get their marketing game together.
I shoulda bought this phone 😕... I don't like ios... I would never use an lg (too many customers coming back with bootloop issues: g5, v10, v20) I would never use a Samsung (too much bloatware, and I will not pay $700 for a glass phone)
I just bought mines, and it's red!!!!!!!!!!!! Tbh, the thing about this phone I'm mostly excited for is the DAC High Resolution music player. For those who remember the superb Boom Sound on the HTC M8, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to the sound quality of music through devices. Now the only phone I can honestly say is bumping with this phones music player, it's the LG V30 which is definitely an audiophiles wet dream.
Upgraded from HTC m7 to HTC 10 about 6 months ago, and I'm 100% confident this phone will give me years of quality service. I still use my M7 as an alarm clock, had it 4+ years. She's dinged, dinted, scratched, shattered screen, blown speakers; She turns on every time, and still holds a charge. I dubbed the phone "pocket tank" like two years ago, before I really put it through the ringer. Other than the abolishment of front facing speakers + front design of the M7 (such a classic look, WHY CHANGE IT!?) she feels to be twice the pocket tank her older sister was. Pick one up, and you'll feel the tankness. I promise. Only time will tell, but the past 6 months have been a pleasure with this little beast.
Great review! your editing is very good, and I love the way you talk about every important thing in short time. For me this was one of the best last year smartphone. Greetings from Mexico
Steven McClellan Lol maybe. I usually keep a case on my phone, but one day I decided to take it off and was like "It's HTC, I'll be fine". I probably would have been too scared to take the S7 Edge out of the case and it never would have cracked.
Peace, Love, and Positivity same thing happened to me bro..I took my case off for a day or 2 and bam shit drops. I kept a case on my s7 edge..only reason I had the HTC 10 was because of the note recall and wanted to try the other best android had to offer..wasn't very impressed 7 out of 10
LMAO how even? The worst I've dropped mine is down a concrete flight of stairs and it just got a little dent on the back (and no I don't have a case). IDK how u broke yours but maybe claim Uh-Oh protection?
It was nice to see a revisit of the HTC 10. It was one of the most awesome phones HTC has released in recent memory. Hope the HTC U 11 can improve on HTC 10 rather than go the U Ultra route.
Felipe Augusto it's just frustrating how they manufacture the cameras yet they produce the poorest results. That and the bad decisions they took over 2016 with the new X line being subpar in specs to basically everyone in the competition
Juan Carlos Alpízar I agree. The Xperia X/X Performance was definitely the worst from Sony, and the cameras they're always trying to improve but in general they still fall behind the competition. But still the phones have a distinctive look, waterproofing, great (IPS) displays, good audio and perform well with Sony's custom Android interface. I guess they don't advertise and also don't wanna sell their phones in some markets like the USA, but the XZs and XZ Premium still look promising...
Great Video. I got my HTC 10 for about 370$ from Ebay (btw brand new open just once for software update) and I'm loving it... absolutely fantastic phone
I just picked one up for £175, Brand new in Red, honestly, it's stood the test of time, it is a solid all round phone and I don't see it needing replacing anytime soon. If you are looking for a good Budget Phone with a very good speed (easily perfect for everyday use e.g. chrome, Snapchat, WhatsApp, gaming), decent battery life and is solid reliable, this is by far one of the best phones to go for. You can pick one up on eBay with warranty for anywhere between £170-£250, you do not need to spend a penny more, anything under will be suspiciously low. #OwnerReview #HTC #HTC10
There's just something I love about HTC's metal smartphones... they're sculpted so artistically that even when I move onto a new phone, I refuse to trade in my old phone. Now that I have an HTC 10, I still have my One M7 sitting on my nightstand, and it looks terrific. I'll be keeping my 10 as well, when it will inevitably be replaced in a few years' time.
Frank Ding Same here I'm getting the U11 and next Pixel but my cold metal HTC 10 is not going anywhere until it works no more and even then I'll keep it just to remember that metal build a few years from now!
Nice job... the price HTC is asking now is crazy... the phone is a year old... My HTC 10 is 🏃 running great since 7.0---- do a full reset with your phone and the phone will run great --- all Android phones need to be reset after a major upgrade in the software... it's like seeing up a new phone.
For me, HTC version of android is the best there is. I've had the best one, HTC One - the first also known as M7. Those who followed were just not great. The One, was really great. I hope the next will be as great as the first one. Thanks for the update Michael.
I love your videos, Mr. Mobile! One of my regrets was getting rid of my m8. That was a really good phone. Now I'm on an iPhone and, well, bleh. Maybe that HTC will be even cheaper when I go to upgrade 😎
Like you Mr. Mobile, htc broke my heart too when they ditched the dual front firing speakers. I still enjoy my 10 as much as I did my m7. I had the m9 and was highly disappointed with that phone. I sincerely hope htc can rise again from the ashes.
I have this phone, and I can quite frankly say it is stupendous. I could continuously use it for 4 years. It's the little things, OIS I'm the front camera, tactile clicky buttons, boomsound. Then there's the stereo speakers, amazing build that has taken quite a few knocks, sense being the best it's ever been. And it's never slowed down once Expandable storage, amazing audioexperience. And the camera is still really good, it's just that the s7s and pixels of the world were better. Not to mention they were more expensive. The camera performs very well, we do need to realise that. The only thing that's missing is an IP 60 rating, but that's a small price to pay. Couldn't recommend this phone more. It does everything well. And the media consumption is amazing.
Good stuff! They were going for 429 EUR here in Germany a few weeks ago, so I quickly convinced 2 people to buy them. No regrets so far, this phone is lovely!

they also said that about the M8. Just because they screwed with the M9 doesn't mean all of them are bad. I still have high hopes for the 10 successor
Funny thing is, M9 is not nearly as bad as everyone said it was.

True that!
Agreed. Not one of his videos has missed my thumbs-up so far.
HTC stock music and gallery apps were awesome on the M8 don't know why they got rid of them. They were definitely a lot better than Google's versions

Luco Zade Do I need to upgrade also? HTC m8 user here also.
HTC M8 user here as well. I am using Fleksy keyboard right now and I love it.
Still wouldn't feel that it is worth to buy the HTC 10 over the M8.. I can't seem to find anything that will really top it. Maybe a OP 3T with better audio quality and a 2K resolution.
m8 user here, also used to be a huge htc fan... I must say I'm disappointed with htc since the 10.. I'm thinking about switching to Samsung or lg soon
The front design of this 10 is a turn-off for me.
Luco Zade You can download an apk of both. Just Google it.
my favorite Android phone of 2016
Ron the HHO Man my favorite Android phone of 2017
I purchased my 10 three months ago for it's aptx Bluetooth streaming capability and l'm thoroughly satisfied with it. Mobile.
I love my HTC 10!
Koray Topcu how the battery life?
So good. Time on: 5.5-6 hours.
Koray Topcu | Me too, works perfectly👍
MR MAN 2 days sometimes
Koray Topcu I love mine too, wouldn't change it for any other phone on the market!
The rules are:
1. Root, S-Off
2. Delete the bloatware.
3. Change rom/ Kernal. Add Greenify/ ForceDoze (To kill motion sensors during sleep)
Stewart Daniels i should be getting a 10 soon, how easy is it to root compared to nexus/oneplus devices? ive only experience with those..
The editing on this one is psychedelic and totally immersive. Merged with the tight camerawork and your voice over, watching it only made me wish I would purchase the HTC 10. Thank you for being mobile and sharing.
Still using HTC 10 in 2019😍
I changed mine last week for an LG G7.
Fine is finally giving up and if Apps didn't refuse to install I'd just buy another one
Me too. But I have the opportunity to change next month. Still not sure what to do. :-/
Just the hole punch I couldn't get over.
i was already sleeping but forgot to set the alarm and then i saw mrmobile has uploaded a video. well sleep can wait!
You really should narrate audiobooks. Great voice, man.
Keep 'me coming, and Stay Mobile my friend! ;)
best HTC phone since the legendary One M7.
Cheers
HTC 10 user here. Still going strong.
I love seeing my hometown Boston on TH-cam! Keep up the great work man!
Why does the U Ultra get so much shit? I have been using that since launch and other than the somewhat poor battery life it is a pretty damn good device. It runs way better than my V20 and it hasn't struggled to run anything I throw at it, plus is freaking beautiful.
Datafiend How is it better than the V20?
I had apps crash frequently on my V20, I also had it restart randomly. The second display on the U Ultra doesn't lag when swiping from panel to panel when the main screen is off like it does on my V20.
poor use of space
The majority of dislike for the phone is the price point. it's a good phone but it was definitely not priced correctly for the features it has.
Datafiend
no body said it's a bad phone
but it doesn't have
Wireless charging
water proof
headphone jack
IR plaster
and they can fit all of that easily
not only that
his capacity buttons are small where they can make it bigger
doesn't even have bigger bettery than the last year flagship (htc 10)
uses snapdragon 821 from the last year
and all of that with a price tag 800/700$
WHAT THE FUCK HTC
(I'm not really sure of the price but i know it very high)
don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a bad phone it's actually a really good phone but the problem of this phone is his high price, i mean if it was in 300/400$ i will buy it no doubt about that.
Anyways, I never said it should be recommanded over the 3T or not, but it just deserves a review.
pakigangsta5 Good to hear that and bet it's true.
totally love ur redo series
watching last years flagships in this year is a total bliss
keep up the good work!
Cheers.
Watched this video when it came out in 2017, time to rewatch!
I never understood why it failed.
It was so beautiful and strong with serious specs. If I didn't have a phone I would have buy it for sure.
It was THE phone to get.
Marketing
Great video MrMobile. I have the HTC 10 and I love it. I love your videos too. Glad to see one of my favorite TH-camrs following this phone so much!
2015 was an awful year in general for smartphones 😅
sunny eclectech i went through the exact same sequence of phones regret giving up my m8 for the s6 got rid of that crap to get the 10 and I'm thinking of getting the s8
Watching this on my HTC 10 ❤️. BEST phone I've ever had.
Who else is watching on an HTC?
here
+-amitölemtelik-
Desire 820 here ;)
Shraavan watching on one m8 here 😊
Shraavan from my HTC one m9
This is my first one...
And i love it!!
I'm amazed how you made it regain the catch of my eyes again. Quite innovative and good timing.
cheers to that !
Does any one know when the 11 will come out
Name nobody knows that
it's confirmed it's coming, but it's top secret for what it seems. Very little information have been leaked
Juan Carlos Alpízar which is a strange change of pace considering the amount of leaks htc has had in the past
cwardlow7 maybe they're planning something big and wanna make sure to keep the surprise until the release, something leaking makes impossible. Whatever it is, real kudos for it, in today's world it's really hard to work unnoticed in the world of mobile
Name its gonna be the u
Love this! I was such a fan of HTC a few years ago. It started with the One X, One X+ and then the amazing M7. The build quality was always top-notch and the software wasn't bad at all for that time. Then I fell in love with Nexus and it was all over between me and HTC. Solid review. Made me miss HTC...
Watching it in my HTC 10 :)
same here :)
Arriane Tessriel not same. Watching on my Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
Arriane Tessriel same
Same :3
Arriane Tessriel same 👍
You're my favourite reviewer, partly because you're clearly a HTC die-hard fan, like me lol. Still a great phone, Nougat has made it snappier and smoother. Am not tempted to upgrade yet, will see what the 11 and the Pixel 2 bring though (and the S8 is also very tempting).
I'm watching this on my HTC 10. I love this phone.
Might pick this up today
still using a HTC 10 and am really happy with it ...thank you sir for the a re-rivew of this product
Remember when flaghship costs were about $400-600? Yeah, I remember.
And now they want 1000 and they wonder, why they don't sell well
The htc 10 was and unfortunate flop. I love this device, but literally no one bought it. HTC should keep up the good work and maybe they can release a phone like the one m8 again. It was my favourite ever. Also, amazing review! Your detail never ceases to impress me!
HTC10, ZTE AXON 7, ONEPLUS3T, S7 are all priced at approx 400usd here in the Philippines (grey market) please help me which to get. Thank you. :)
Juan Paulo Cabugsa one plus 3t
Linubee alreadt bought oneplus 5 haha :D
Thnx far highlighting all the curves of this baby.
Really fell for it.
Reminds me why I obsessivelykeep watching reviews.
Those edges are addictive.
Can't Stop thinking about how good it must feel to hold it.
I just bought it, it's amazing
Isn't it curious that there are not too many leaks or rumors about the next HTC Flagship?
Ricardo117 yeah they were always the worst with leaks
Ricardo117 there is a leak that next device won't have any side button and will feature a full metal body, with sensitive side.(I don't know if that's true or not)
Always love your introduction before you start reviewing!👍🏻😆
this phone deserved more love
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] Michael, you've been consistent and honest through the years! I appreciate your hard work and dedication!
watching this on my Htc 10!
Great video as usual. I like my HTC 10 and you nailed the strong suits and short comings of the device. In closing you hoped HTC would build on the 10, me too... but it seems like they're going in a different direction with this "U" series of devices. I also think HTC needs to get their marketing game together.
3.30 am in India. but who the f cares. it's Mr.mobile video. Will watch this and sleep in peace 😂😁😀
Sriram M yup!
Sriram M Same here!😁
Mohammad Ashaab Ikr
What better way to end the day ..or ahem night
haha Mr.mobile is the man.
Sriram M haha 3:43am for me and soon as the notification came up, I quickly watched it :D
Darn. My love for HTC gets re-kindled the moment I see a great video of a HTC phone by Mr. Mobile.
using HTC 10 I love it :)
Like it first then watch. Nice video with all the necessary details. Always see your video for any review. Keep up the good work.
C'mon HTC, make the 11 dope asf please!
You got a really nice talking voice :D first time I've ever seen a video of yours and I like it so far
I shoulda bought this phone 😕...
I don't like ios...
I would never use an lg (too many customers coming back with bootloop issues: g5, v10, v20)
I would never use a Samsung (too much bloatware, and I will not pay $700 for a glass phone)
Reinaldo Gonzalez just sell it and get a htc 10 2nd hand if you can find a nice one. I got mine for 360 a couple months ago and it is totally worth it
Ronaldooooooooooooooooooooooooo
jadoei13 Got mine brand new for £370 from a seller on Gumtree. If it had the 5.5 inch screen of the bolt and smaller bezels it would be even better
Milan Tomić MESSSSSIIIIIIII
Reinaldo Gonzalez Buy it, you won't regret: I'm using one from 5 months now, and it's an all around great phone!
Now the only phone I can honestly say is bumping with this phones music player, it's the LG V30 which is definitely an audiophiles wet dream.
the HTC 10 has more waterproof than its rating tho from my experience
Kiva Gordon +
I promise. Only time will tell, but the past 6 months have been a pleasure with this little beast.
stop scrolling through the comment section and watch the video
Great review! your editing is very good, and I love the way you talk about every important thing in short time. For me this was one of the best last year smartphone. Greetings from Mexico
I bought this phone and I have regretted not buying the S7 edge in only a month. It's even worse that my screen cracked from a 1 foot drop on my porch
Peace, Love, and Positivity yea its(htc) garbage bro..my screen is cracked as well from one damn drop on kitchen tile.
Steven McClellan Lol maybe. I usually keep a case on my phone, but one day I decided to take it off and was like "It's HTC, I'll be fine". I probably would have been too scared to take the S7 Edge out of the case and it never would have cracked.
Sean DoLLa I'm getting tired off it also because I've had every flagship. The M8 was the best.
HTC and sony should start building sandpaper. They aren't meant for manufacturing phones now.
Anand Rao Sony yes HTC no...
Anand Rao I don't get why people hate so much the Sony phones...
Anand Rao couldn't agree more. They are literally playing a completely wrong game.
Finally somebody coming back to this phone...thank You!!
Great Video. I got my HTC 10 for about 370$ from Ebay (btw brand new open just once for software update) and I'm loving it... absolutely fantastic phone
MrMobile!! amazing reviews as always!
damn fam..i wish i had found your channel before...this is sooo good and accurate...better shoot of vids than others.... love this fam
Beautiful production, good spelling, nice package... Really, i dont know how i dndn't know nothing about you before!
1 more subs :D
I recently re-bought an immaculate HTC 10 for just £60, just to use as an MP3 player and the audio quality is still outstanding ❤
using a 10 after having a V10. 100% accurate Mr.Mobile. thanks for this redo!
Great video, love your reviews.
One of the best tech reviewers known to man 🔥
great as always...
thank u for ur great work. just makes me happy to watch ur videos ^^
And it's never slowed down once
Expandable storage, amazing audioexperience.
