I found your video about the train trip very useful as (in my opinion) not so many videos given enough information about the walkthrough from Taipei Main Station to Houtong. One question though, is there a reserved train to Houtong, the one that goes straight there? I will have my EasyCard ready but if it‘s possible I would like to buy the tickets and keep it as a souvenir. :) When we get there I hope we‘ll get more fist bumps from the cats than you did. :) Thank you again, Chris. 😺😺😺
Thanks for watching, so glad my video can help you! If taking other reserved trains, you should transfer to Ruifang station and take the local train to Houtong. I would still recommend taking local trains from Taipei Main Station, however, you can still get paper tickets from the machines or the counters! I hope you can get more fist bumps, receiving their compliments is not an easy job though😂
