Dimitri dies there, the diamonds are hidden from Bulgarin there, the cook dies there, Niko gets betrayed by Dimitri there, Luis’s diamonds gets stolen there, Johnny ambushes them, Evan dies there, what else?

The Heroin is the whole reason Niko and Luis managed to kill Dimitri and Bulgarin, think about it if Dimitri never got the h niko never would have located him on the ship (revenge) or if niko did the deal with him Dimitri would make the fatal mistake of sending a hitman to romans wedding (deal) and if bulgarin never got the H luis and tony never would have been able to find out about him moving it on funland (giving luis and tony an opening). So in short the true hero of the story was The Horse.

Johnny is far from week, but his meth problem coupled with the fact that Trevor is bat-shit crazy is what caused Johnny's demise.
I love this character too, but I'm a realist.

God, I love how GTA 4 has so many sub-stories that all tie in with the episodes somehow. GTA 5 does not have that type of story depth.

It happens after you find Darko, the last thing that was keeping Niko in the past, whatever you do with him, it helps Niko to move on and he allows himself to relax a little by drinking alcohol something he never does in cutscenes before
I like johnny because he's a badass but you can see he has a code of honor and he actually thinks before he acts, not too quick to act until he's sure of what's going on. Billy really made him act in ways he wasn't comfortable. He wasn't weak he was actually a strong guy, but gta 5 made him weak to boost Trevor, God I hate Trevor, rip to johnny.

Tbh I can't see how any true fan of GTA IV can really love GTA V's story. They killed one of the protagonists and completely changed the tone of GTA's stories.

In my mind, there's no way Niko would have done the deal. After he betrayed Niko and kidnapped and tortured Roman, Niko would have definitely said "fuck the money" and taken the chance to take Dimitri out. Add in the fact that the girl he genuinely had feelings for said she'd lose respect for him for pining after cash.
im not sure if roman dying is the canon ending. in gta v there is a social media page you can look up that belongs to Niko, in which it says that he is currently working with the Bellic cab company, and also said happy birthday to Roman in a recent post (unless it's one of those weird posthumous things).

Revenge missions wasn’t really about revenge, it was more so tying up a loose end
Kate is no worth it. Niko deserves a better girl, girl who dress better and is more interesting.
After watching the whole Diamonds, Heroin and Cocaine story. I feel like The Lost and Damned was the most important one out of all three of the episodes.
It's probably my favorite one story line wise, it's a close one between the original and TLAD.

Imo the deal ending's more impactful since Dimitri's a long time enemy and Roman's a bigger loss.
Only thing I don't like about the revenge ending is Packie's phone call since he's my favorite character. :(

I want GTA 5 to do something like GTA 4 did. How all the stories connected somehow. Honestly GTA 4 was one of the best games I played story line wise. GTA 5 has so much potential to do something like this. I hope they do. GTA 4 story is 10x better then GTA5 although I did enjoy 5.
Agreed. I hope in a DLC or something. Maybe a storyline with a character that's associated with the 3 chararcters, like Lamar. Although, I think I'll like a DLC with 3 chararcters that each is associated with 3 different gangs, maybe The Lost, or the Ballas, or the Families.

When I first played gta 4 I did the deal and then when roman died i was upset and then I redid the entire campaign again cuz I did not save before the deal or no deal and when Kate died I was ehh I rather have roman

Man Johnny sure does look different in GTA IV. This was 2008, this was before The Lost and Damned came out in 2009, they made an effort to replace it with biker jacket.
Honestly I think it’s kind of ironic though that Johnny works with niko for a bit not realizing that he killed Jason but it got twisted by billy though so he could attack the AOD
The older you get, the more you notice how "real" this game was. Dark, gritty actual gangster stuff. Whereas 5 just started going clown mode, and don't even get me started on the GTA 6 trailer 💀 clown fiesta.

It was confirmed the Revenge Ending was cannon. Leslie talked about it, Packie talks about Kate's death in GTA 5. As far as we know, Niko is retired from his life of crime working as a cab driver living in a mansion in Broker with his Cousin. Luis probably retired too and has a family now. The only loose end was the triad buisness but the protaginist from Chinatown Wars ties those loose ends

I'm glad that her death is cannon, I wanted her to suffer from the start.
Revenge is canon due to in TBOGT last mission there's a dialogue which states that "Now Rascalov is dead, we have sole claim to the junk."
The sad part about the ending in GTA IV (Original) is that Kate will tell you not to deal with Dimitri (Revenge) and she will get killed if you make that choice however if you go with what Roman recommends (Deal) and work with Dimitri..Roman will be the one that gets killed at the wedding instead. Very sad and ironic if you think about it.

This is why I love GTA4. The substories are great and it connects all 3 episodes together. And i learn a lot by watching your videos.

At first i didn't know the cutscene with Billy and a Triad member was for but now it all made sense that Billy had set up Johnny and Jim to an ambush which of course backfired and Billy got arrested instead the funny thing is he must have crashed his bike into an uncoming police car while trying to escape when he got caught he was so pissed that he yelled "You set me up Johnny you set me up" "Fuck you Johnny you're dead!" While being detained
Ray was really a slime ball. Got the lost to take the heroin from the Angels, then acted as if he knew nothing or didn’t want any parts when Phil got Niko to take it AGAIN.
Wait, what? Ray had nothing to do with the heroin. All he did was sell the Lost some guns, like that grenade launcher.

I never knew that the H was the same gear between The mob and the bikers. Thought they were 2 different storylines. 12 years later and i’m still learning things now
Triads were right,that H is cursed.Every group/gang that came in contact with it got destroyed or suffered a lot(Angels of death,the lost,triads,Pegorino,Russians)
Don't forget the LCPD, they tried to get the H off the streets and they lost a lot of Officers getting it.

"A large ammount of heroin"... so large it's in a little package you see Brian gives to Johnny, which also don't make sense when considering they took two hefty bags from the AOD clubhouse. Same bages later given back to the Triads (16:49) and on that time they had no problem carrying them on their bikes...

Dude you have to accept that this game is a peace of art if we talk about it history and characters personalitys, their expressions and dialogs are perfect and the diversity of nationalitys make it more interesting. All of this waay apart from the missions and decisions that make Nico Bellic a very enjoyable character to play with.

I love the heroin story as well as the diamond story GREAT JOB with these stories man
It seems the "Out of Comission" ending is more canonical than the "Deal" ending because it seems more connected with the DLC. It makes more sense that Bulgarin would steal the H in that ending. Though you could say he bought it in the Deal ending. It seems likely that the H was stolen.
Plus, Bulgarin running hints somewhat at him stealing the H. Think about it. If he bought it. He would only be running from Tony and the Mob. He's not afraid of the Cops as a few missions in TBoGT shows. So why would he run if he can take in Dimitri's men. If he stole it. He has alot more to fear. Dimitri's mafia remnants, Tony, and the mafia. It seems more likely that he would take Dimitri's men in if he bought it. Then he would fight Tony and the mafia as he would have the men. It seems the only reason he would run is because he stole it from the remnants of Dimitri's men. Which would piss off the entire Russian Mafia, making Bulgarin an outsider and enemy number 1 in Hove Beach.
At least, that what l think. That's just my own personal head cannon for the events of the main ending.

This game has subplots richer than the entirety of GTA 5's main story lmao
Its like watching one good movie its just what I always loved about playing gta. Watching, playing, loving the story tellings.
I actually like a lot more this style of story telling; the parallel yet-conected stories from the 3 main characters of episodes from liberty city seems to work quite better than the cooperative story from GTA 5 characters.

Sorry to hear that (and happy you are clean). I was, of course, talking from a non experienced viewpoint, and didn't know it affected the kick one gets... but what about the heroin that remains in the bags (that are now filled with holes)... is that still usable?
I always hated Billy since he manipulated Johnny and tricked his brothers into believing that the AODs were responsible for Jason's death, when in reality it was Niko who did it. This shows that he never cared about his brothers or the Lost

That H really was cursed, leads into a deadly biker war then they get ambushed by feds then the triads cross Johnny over it and get screwed over by Phill who was being watched by police and pegorino dies no matter what

Nothing beats driving a shiny unscratched car, I also always call Henrique for a nice car lol... I sometimes waste a couple of minutes at a pay & spray just to get the "right" color (like a black and yellow "Second Generation" Schafter, or black with a red stripe Huntly Sport)

Just realized that everybody always seems to focus on the diamonds but in reality the H is far, far more important

This game had stories within stories no other gta game was like this
The only thing that GTA 4 wasn't good enought is Niko and Kate romance... If the player don't call her or something there is nothing on game, not even a single mission that make this relatinship flows to a real deal. There are some speaks from Niko that's reveals that he likes her but it's still very weak.
So at the end of the game it's easy to choose between Roman (a very good worked character) and Kate (that is kind of random).
I'd like to see GTA go back to this style of story telling. GTA4 having separate stories did a better job of showing you the diverse and different aspects of Liberty City than GTA5 did with Southern San Andreas. I think having three characters of completely different backgrounds all in one game really didn't give the player enough time to immerse themselves in the different worlds Michael, Franklin and Trevor lived in. I'm not saying that it was wrong, GTA5 had a lot of things wrong with it's story but it wasn't that. Clearly it was about three worlds colliding and seeing how these people of different backgrounds work together but for the future, I'd like for us to go back to a single protagonist.

Also there's a theory that Bulgarin got the Diamonds back (offscreen) then Luis got them too when he killed Bulgarin (offscreen) but he realizes it already destroyed many lives so he purposely bumped that homeless dude dropping the bag of diamond so the homeless guy could get it.

If the diamond was truly lost, what type of trash truck would dump the garbage at the park? Should the truck pick up the trash? So Luis intentionally dropped it there.
I think it happened during the development on GTA IV, as they saw the storyline unfold they got the cool idea of making TLaD and TBoGT and link the stories...
But that's how I like to imagine it :)

GTA iv was supposed to have 3 protagonists like GTA V, but couldn't be done due to technical reasons at the time, that's why the heroin and diamond story feels incomplete in GTA IV and only makes sense in EFLC.
I never thought those stories felt incomplete at all. It was nikos story and as it was pre DLC I feel like it all wrapped together well.

Speaking of Heroin's fate after GTA IV, I know in Chinatown Wars is pretty random as you are with it almost every in-game day.
People talk about the similarities between Johnny K and John Marston. Now that RDR2 is out there are even more. Billy's relation with Jim and Johnny is so similar to Dutch's with Arthur and John. Jesus I just hear Billy talk about loyalty and I start to laugh remembering all the Dutch memes.
