What a video! Finally discussing a topic only known to insiders in radiology. I am a radiologist and would love to discuss with you further your idea of engineering communication in our field. I’m game!

Indication for procedure should include a suspected diagnosis. Ex. “L/S MRI, no contrast, suspect right L4 radiculopathy.” This, included in the progress note and imaging order, would help coding, billing, resource utilization, outcomes, throughput, accuracy, etc., etc.

True. A Radiologist’s dream. Alas the reason for the exam is often never that thorough.
      Thank you for watching!

Interesting. Most of your links are expired. Do you have a source on the 51% failure rate re: answering the clinical question?

Thank you for letting me know. I had separated the urls by semicolons, which caused them not to work.
I’ve now separated them on different lines, so the links work now.
The 51% is from the final link.
Originally seen in a slide in a radiology CME course that my radiologist friend sent to me.

CT #s seem high. 24.5% get a CT scan?

Good point. Likely stratifies somewhat... small number of people getting a lot of scans. Not unusual for 2+ CT scans for just one hospitalization.
      Thank you for watching!

    Hi Mam
, I had 3 ct scans in span of 3 weeks due to covid. My age is 32. I am more worried about its side effects now. Could you please tell me remedies to reduce the effects of Ct scans..please suggest.
