Salam sister. I am so happy for you. The Shaykh did not deny the benefit of knoweledge available on line, in fact he did mention it. The topic is rather how we value knoweledge which is easily accessible versus knoweledge we have to struggle for. Beleive me, i know out of experience that he is so right : The way we "cherich" a book we have to take the train in order to buy it, or a document we searched for months or years has nothing to do with the way we regard all the "knoweledge" downloaded on our devices. However, in my opinion we can highly value knoweledge acquited on line when, for example, it is itself of high quality, transmitted by a very high qualified "master"...vidéos in our library to watch later because of lack of time or energy, but that we absolutely don't want to miss...like Shaykh Yasir Qadhi's lectures. By the way, i have learned very much about my religion "and" faith thanks to internet. Things nobody taught me at home and which helped me deepen my iman and practice it better. I am still learning.
What he's saying is absolutely true ...just imagine the Era before internet ...you hv to write a letter frm country to country ...you will be so happy to receive a letter frm your friend or relative after waiting for months and then keep it in a safe box like a treasure ...now you just text and you get the reply immediately...its cool but the feeling it's not the same!

Al maghrib institute teaches knowledge but sadly the quality is very low. I have come to realize it is not credible information at all !
