You know, it's kind of fascinating thinking about what the meta is usually like when seeing this sort of misplay. At this stage, especially in MD, having few cards in hand and only one monster on the field doesn't necessarily mean anything. Just look at the opponent's deck. They vomited out something like 10+ monsters in one turn and generated a boatload of advantage from virtually nothing, and still had cards in hand afterward and could likely recover next turn easily with zero chance of getting taken out that turn. So to me, there's probably one of three things motivating that sort of misplay: They just want to stop the opponent from playing at all (the opponent is just plain toxic,) are trained to think Baronne or negates in general are some sort of cure all (when they aren't,) or they're just clicking buttons without thinking or taking the time to read first and basically just get coddled by otherwise too easy to access, powerful, and generic boss monsters (impatience or reading comprehension failure.) Which is to say, some people get so caught up in doing things in an overly complicated way that they forget that sometimes the correct solution is just to hit the other guy *really* hard.
Yeah this one had my scratching my brain. A nice textbook case of him not reading the card but damn, people are way too used to clearing the board with destruction or just getting monsters off the field effects instead of just battling.
Even funnier is that it's an anime card. I don't know, usually I expect people to know the effects of the anime cards (or at least have a broad idea of what they do).
Clear wing is pretty underrated. No hard once per turn on neither effects, which are omni-negates, gains atk for protection. Only detriments are the lvl restrictions, but most negate worthy monsters are above lvl 5, and a lot of effects target, so if you're running speedroids, synchrons or any other synchro deck, you'd be fine. Shame it's lvl 7, though.
@@Atem maybe they wanted to make it more distinct from stardust dragon. By making its effect a bit better than stardust's, they made it a smidge more difficult to summon.
@@viktorzahariev2485 Also because Clear Wing is supposed to be used in Speedriods who can easily get out Clear Wing. I play Speedriods and getting out a turn 1 Clear wing, Crystal Wing or Crystal Clear Wing is really easy.
@@alejandrom. You sure? In Speedriods summoning two Clear Wings is easy. Although if you can summon a 2nd Clear Wing it's much better to summon Fast Dragon then a 2nd Synchro Dragon.

I once had a Duel against Baronne, when my "Digit Jamming" activate its Trigger-like Effect, "Baronne" negated + destroyed it as that effect would make her ATK 0. But opponent didn't know when "Digit Jamming" is destroyed, it will apply its second Trigger-like Effect, the same effect as the first one but lasts only for one turn. "Digit Jamming" was similar to this Clear Wing, using all its effect in one turn. BTW, when I use Clear Wing, when an effect activates, that meets two categories of ones Clear Wing can negate, I would think carefully which effect of Clear Wing should I chain so that the remaining effect can have chance to use.
Huge missplay here. The player thought that Clear Wing Synchro Dragon could negate effects only once per turn, when he summoned Knightmare Unicorn. Totally his demise.
Also, he thinks that effect only works with Monsters with Level. But Clear Wing had two negate effects, one that works if a monster with level 5 or greater activate its effect and one that works when a level 5 or greater is a target of an effect.

The slight problem with that is that both effect are once per turn, but both can be activated in a single turn if requirement are meant which in this case it has as Knightmare Unicorn target Clear Wing triggering the second effect then Baron use it's negate effect to negate Clear Wing's second effect only to trigger Clear Wing's first effect resulting in the idiot super charging Clear Wing.
Yo i just got a synchro storm box and got a clear wing along with some other synchro monsters but all of them have the 1+ non tuner soo does it mean i need to have more than 1 (if yes i am sad cause clear wing is cool and i wanted to use it irl)

Clear Wing Synchro Dragon has 2 once per turn effects. However, both effects can be activated within the same turn even within the same chain.
