Reminds me of my old riding mower with a busted dry rotted front tire. Bead was so stuck that I couldn't get it off, I tried hammers, pry bars, ran over it with my car etc. So I went to a tire shop and they were laughing at me when I asked them to take it off. It put up a real fight even with their equipment and when they finally got it off, they weren't laughing any longer and likely regretted that they had said to do it with a fiver 😅

I've had that same craftsman mower for years that I got from my dad, I think the only thing I ever replaced on it was a wheel that cracked.

I made just under $5k one summer with an ad that said…..will pick up old mowers for free…..only ones i would not take for free was an older lady had 9 old sears mowers, all SS16s with decks, most had the 3pt hitch, has 3 sickle mowers, 5 discs, 2 landscape rakes and a several broken and good 1 bottom plows and 4 wagons to pull behind them. All Sears mowers and accessories but the diamond was in the garage, a brand new never been ran SS16 her husband bought in 1973 and said he never wanted to it run. I bought everything she had for $3k, she thought i was crazy but i saw a value she didnt and her 2 kids helped me load it on 2 trucks and trailers saying they would have just taken that old junk to the dump. When her son came out on a near new troy built like the one you had, i told that lady that if that mower was to sit in the tree line like some of these have for over 20yrs there would be nothing left to get rid of lol

wow thats a find. my father and i have 4 1967 ss12s between the two of us. hes got the original one his father bought in 67 then we added 3 more in the 90s and rebuilt them all. i took 2 with me when i got my house 10 years ago. no comparison at all to anything after the 90s.

Great to see new content from ya! I think you (and I) got fooled on the deck not moving because all 4 wheels were flat, so the deck was basically already resting on the ground; when you got air in the tires it raised it up off the ground, which then allowed the deck to drop down. One more thing, which you probably noticed when editing the footage, that grease gun had a lot of grease leak out at the connection of the grease tube/barrel and the fixed tube.

You scared me with that rear tire blowing up. I thought that was real! That was great editing, and real funny. Nice job. Don't forget. When you made $720 bucks. You would of had to make $1300 at a normal job. After taxes you would of cleared $720. Nice working for yourself instead of some biss breathing down your neck.

In Western Illinois mint 21 inch push mowers only go for $50.

The new ones here just the basic cheap walmart one $250+ - something nice goes for 4-6 and riders start at 2k. Crazy times.

The 'quick unload' lifehack was very ingenious. Gotta remember that. Otherwise, it seems James Condon has got nothing on you when it comes to meticulously fixing small engines 🤣😂😅.

Awesome stuff! I bet most of those old riding mowers have some sort of nest.

If people only knew to use non oxygenated fuel. Or Truefuel. St.Paul,Minnesota.

I think ethanol is the big thing that kills em. I use only ethanol free fuel in every carbureted engine I have. Never had a problem that way.
