So glad to see prominent TH-camr's like yourself getting behind causes like this Ben. Well done bro! Coming from SA, and having family working in the Wildlife industry, Rhino poaching has been really close to our hearts for a long time, and at times we have felt really desperate and that we were losing this battle. Knowing that thousands of people are watching this and realising what a serious problem it is, not just for South Africa, but for the whole world, is a massive ray of sunshine for us. So Thank you guys! It really means a lot to us and, I'm sure, many many many other people around the world.
It's annoying me that Ben's been here for 10 years and produces such amazing content, and constantly provides me with many lessons and takes away all my troubles for the duration of the vlog, yet only has 526k subs, while some other youtubers upload like one shit video whenever they feel like it, are sponsored to the max and make millions -_- and have millions of subscribers, yes I know I'll get people disagreeing with me, just thought I'd vent abit lol
carolyn mcfarland People like Ben, Louis (Funforlouis), JP (youtube channel = the candourist, quality of videos is insane) genuinely work hard and put so much time and effort into making such high quality amazing content and their channels are growing so slowly, whilst others who are millionaires and living the high life just bang out a q&a once in a while and are gaining tonnes of subs without doing anything -_-. Wish there was something I could do! I just try to share the videos as much as I can and encourage friends to view them, they help me a lot in terms of giving me confidence to achieve what I want to achieve! :D
Mr Ben Brown!!! dude i love your videos!! My one mate showed me one of your videos about 2 months ago and ever since im hooked!! Everyday I cannot wait to watch your next upload. Im from Johannesburg but I live in Dubai now, so watching your videos of Cape Town etc brings back so many memories and makes everyday easier being away from home!! Keep up the awesome videos Im obsessed with them!! PS Nicole is the coolest chick ever!
Do you know if they ship Rhino Tears internationally??? Rhino conservation was a HUGE concern of mine back in high school and it seems like a lifetime ago... bout time I rediscovered my youthful passions Notification Squad out
Haha I know that camera walk. People always laugh until they see the steady shot compares to their own shots. Haha! Loving these vlogs about the poachers etc.
Ben, great videos man looking forward to the final film! Have you guys planned on going to Kevin Richardson's Wild Life Sanctuary? It would be great to showcase what they do there.
Well done! really good video. I've been watching your vlogs for a year, its getting better each time! Good job Ben and the rest!! Why are you playing music in the background, or is it only me hearing it.
See one of the problems with the war between rhino poaching is that the more well protected the rhinos are, the more value the rhino horn gains. Soon the rhino horn will reach such a high value that the poachers will do anything to get their hand on one.
Man the Poaching here in SA was crazy for a while before people became aware and started doing something about it. But the thing is that the poachers are getting smarter too, and are always finding new methods to get the rhino horn. Thankfully South Africans are becoming more aware and that makes it slightly harder for the poachers to get locals to do their bidding. Now they are more likely to get people from neighboring countries (Zimbabwe, Mozambique etc) because to many of the people there R500 000 is like winning the super lotto because of how poor their countries are. (Even though that's only like $34 000) Thanks to Ben for helping to spread the word internationally because the Horns usually get exported to asian countries because that's where most of the demand for it comes from. (Even though science has utterly disproved the uses that those people want it for, which makes me extremely angry that they just keep doing it anyway)
Glory, hearing that Afrikaans accent makes me miss SA more and more. After I pay off my school debt, I plan on moving back to SA long term. Only five years till then. SA will always be in my heart, and be my passion.
Ben you should check out Body Worlds by Gunther von Hagen. They have exhibits all over and there is one in Jo-Burg now. I think you would really love it.
I am studying Human Geography, and it really is hard to comprehend the complex politics of humanities. What us see in the west as protecting an animal, we then don't protect cows, chickens and fish for consumption who are animals just like the rhino, but yet the large majority of countries do not need to eat meat. Then on the flip side, developing countries with a lack of economic infrastructure and poverty, look to create a living by illegal means. Should more attention be focused to improving the country of Mozambique? But yet because they are worth so much, they will always be a commodity for how much they are worth its inevitable will attract illicit activity around them. Hey, just sharing thoughts for a good discussion. At the end of the day, we follow our heart as well as we can. I think this is all as individuals we can do......
To me it is worth much more attached to such a magnificent animal! Going to buy some bottles when I can find someone to ship them to me from the uk or sa :)
8:46 Probably just a regular zebra riding its lambo...
I'm dead 😂😂😂
Lol
