Oh bless you sir, I love Guy Sebastian. A little background on this particular performance. Guy wrote this after his friend and band member took his own life. Guy wrote it as a ballad but couldn't get through it without becoming emotional. So he changed it to a 'celebration' of Luke's life and this performance was just after the song won the Australian Record Industry Award (ARIA). Also the choir was a Maori Choir and they sang the intro "Brother You Are Home" which was a beautiful touch. Guy writes about real life and has created with his wife The Sebastian Foundation, which supports many groups and recently Guy walked 500kms and raised over a $million for a program for students who are struggling with the emotional trauma of lockdowns and post covid etc. The program is called Open Parachute and is now free for students needing support in over 30,000 schools. Sorry for rambling on lol.

I remember when he shot onto the music scene around 27 years ago with a big smile and his big afro. His voice is sharp and precise. A great entertainer.
