Thanks so much for doing this video. I was finally able to get Carplay working on my OAP/RPi-4B setup after I watched your video. My Carlinkit dongle also had USB Device ID 1314:1521. Per your instruction, I edited the product ID under [Autobox] from 5408 to 5409, and this resolved my issue. A big shout out to you !!
@@apprenticeDoingTech Thanks again for your help. I am struggling to get FM radio with my RPi4/OAP setup. I got the RTL-SDR V4 but welle*io does not identify the device (no device found in 'expert' mode). I even downgraded to the RTL-SDR V3 but still no luck. I would love to try the OAP plug-in for FM but cannot since the shutdown. Did you get FM to work in your setup? Thanks in advance for any insight you can give.
@@oiuy8p520 Didnt know that. I will look around maybe i am able to find the fm plugin somwhere. Sadly DAB+ will not be available in OAP. Maybe using welle io and a data sim in the pi could also do the trick

is there a way to install just the open auto as an image without it being over raspian. Seems like inefficient use of the hardware as i feel like raspian wont be used very often.
@@apprenticeDoingTech ok thanks. I have been looking at the options and I think that I can't decide between this and open dash. I think open dash is a lot smoother but this one seems to be more popular.
