don't want to brag but that orange sweet you ate is called "Jangiree". Jelabi is a bit different where they ferment the mix overnight before deep frying and soaking it in sugar syrup. It has the sweet fermented taste and is best served hot, on the other hand Jangiree is right after the mix, they deep fry it and then let it cool down, then they put the deep fried jangiree into the hot syrup and made it cool downed, best served when it's in normal or slightly cold temperature. It can be tough learning the differences tbh 😅😅

Hey Liam and Janine , I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying your journey and happy to see the unique travel experience that you guys are bringing it your content. Since your guys have started your journey in my state its even more special. so here are the few things that I noticed and thought might help you understand things better. 1) The temple which you visited is not actually a temple but an madam, which is run by the disciples & followers of Ramalinga Vallalar (வள்ளல் or vallal in tamil means philanthropist or charitable person. His title literally means as a generous person) . He started this movement where he set out to feed anyone and everyone who visits their madam regardless of their wealth of belief with a hungry stomach about 150 years ago . Which is continued by their followers with the help from volunteers even to this day . 2) At the petrol bunk the pump attended asked you if you want to fill your can with 5 litres of petrol or for Rs. 500, since the petrol costs Rs 102.63 people tent to fill up their tanks by mentioning the Rs as like fill for Rs 500 or Rs 1000 so as to avoid the hassle of tendering the exact change especially when the mode of payment is cash. So I would suggest you to get the petrol in terms of litre since you have to keep track of oil mix per litre.
Loving this...Ive been to India many times..We rented a house in Candolim in Goa for 3 months..the house came with dogs for cuddles and security!...Really glad you decided to do this xxx

@@ThoseHappyDays Sending my Best guys. At Kanyakumari you should see a statue of Swami Vivekananda - introduced the West to India's wisdom of Vedanta and Yoga in the 1890s, and inspired change in India, Gandhi, Sri Aurobindo and others. 🙏
Fantastic videos guys. I spent some time in India and am really impressed with your approach to seeing the country. Please, please be careful on the highways - an accident there will be serious in your Rickshaw. We travelled from Agra to New Delhi and had to do it at night. Really scary. Also, when driving, 2 stroke engines need fuel to lubricate the piston so don’t keep the throttle closed for long periods of time with it in gear as you can seize the engine. Good luck and stay safe!

Excellent video. Glad that you visited 1100 years old Thanjavur Big temple, an Architectural and Engineering marvel. No one knows clearly how this granite stone temple was built (within 7 years) with a height of 63 mts with hollow inside from 50th meter onwards . No mortar was used between the interlocking stones. Standing today majestically not affected by any natural disaster. I would rate this as the top wonder of ancient architecture in India.
Just switched on, looking for your next episode about India - and discovered your blog of last Christmas when you were in Holmfirth. Now, Homfirth was my home town, till I escaped to go to uni. I have travelled the world and settled in Perth, Western Australia. Never before have I seen anyone speak so highly of this place, underestimated by many, including me! Thanks, Happy Days!
Ohhhhh Liam the final scene of u holding that lil baby immediately after Janine spoke about the temple. It really did draw me back to India. I felt the energies in that temple which shows what AMAZING vloggers u and Janine are ❤️ I love your balanced view. Re you express the altruism of some of the people. They provide us with a depth of nurturing, yet sometimes others can tell us wrong things and the roads are incredibly dangerous. I felt as tho I was in heaven and hell at the same time during my travels there. Soooo glad to hear about the yoga. Yup sitting in a tuc tuc all day with a high level of concentration and the movement is enough to throw anyone out of balance so yoga will certainly ground you both. Well done on your hindi speaking 😀👍 I ABSOLUTELY LOVED LOVED LOVED vlogging life in India. Would have been really funny if the cow who passed your tuc tuc attempted to get in it 😀 hahahahaha. ❤️😀❤️

Hello to you both. Just discovered your channel yesterday and am hooked. I live in Mumbai, India. Yes, people in India are not as well off financially, however, Indians can be caring, hospitable and generous...I mean the poor and middle class and not those who live in their multi billion dollar glasshouses. But thank God for the kind ones. I love the music you use in your videos. Take care and be safe.

Great video Liam and Janine, yes a lot of time needed for travel in that vast country, how much time do you have out there? Some people might do that journey in sections so if you were to realise your running out of time you could potentially head for Goa maybe as a journeys end ! Lots of beach resorts, you could chill out in a beach hut accommodation maybe, we stayed at a resort called Baga, just a thought, but yes you have to think ahead all the time, take care both.
Genuine travel and exploration. Traveling in auto is crazy idea even for Indians, travel only before sunset, never later. Any place in India painted yellow/ white is place of worship or spritual gathering place .normally you get food for free if it mid size or above . Carry a fork and spoon every where might help. Thanjavur temple is world heritage you must visit. Travel safe have fun
Hi guys loved your video. Just let you know , You said In India Most common language is English and Hindi. But When you take South India every state has seperate Native language and they also speak English.(Eg.Tamilnadu - Tamil and English , Kerala - Malayalam and English, karanataka - kannada and English) In south India some of them only know Hindi .so when you travel around you You need to know their state language or else English.
Bro, only the educated locals can speak English in south India... You won't find villagers, shopkeepers, autorickshaws, etc talking much English, they only know their local language.

Hi Liam and Janine. To be clear on oil to fuel ratio with a 2 stroke engine 50:1 is typically a good guide. If your fuel container is 10 litres or 10,000ml then you divide that number by 50 to calculate the oil requirement I. E. 200ml of 2 stroke oil per 10 litres of petrol. If you want to run the engine more on the rich / safe side you could go with a 40:1 ratio or 250ml of oil per 10 litres of petrol. Thoroughly enjoying your videos and am uplifted by your bravery and humility.

Victoria I'm also LOVING Those Happy Days in India 😀🇮🇳 I recently returned from India after a 3 year solo travel stint and these guys make me feel as tho im back there ❤️ Liam and Janine are AMAZING aren't they ❤️
We are pleased it is being received well by our British following (the majority of our following). It gives us the chance to show the real india, which we feel isn't often shared on mainstream TV or news 😀 🇮🇳
In this video I could see my hometown temple at 19:13.thanks for this fabulous visual.
Pleasure ❤️
Lets go bro..your auto rickshaw was so beautiful and colourful..we should learn this things...how makes country beautiful... if you have time please visit ladak and northeast...you never disappoint...
Could have entered the Gangai Konda Cholapuram temple, closer to Jayankondam town. Built by son of Raja Raja chola, Shri Rajendra Chola 970 years before. His father built the Thanjavur temple
I think this county of ours could learn a lot from the people of India, they have a very good nature and attitude towards foreigners, lovely people...
The confirmation of your planned journey I have to say would terrify us, but boy this makes fantastic memories for you and great youtube for us... Magic guys all the best and hope the Tuk Tuk is OK...
Thanks guys! It's an honour to show off India to you 🙌
Good Bro & Sister ,no worries you'l did ur best .You'l enjoyed in my state Tamilnadu ,iam from Chennai & my elder brother & family live in U.k.Enjoy yourself it's mainly Explore .
Thank you so much 🙂
Liam and Janine, your showing us parts of India that are off the beaten track which is fascinating, ghe people are so friendly, can't get over how ornate the temple at the end was, safe travels, see you next time 🥰 🛺
Nicky the temples are SUPERB aren't they. I did solo travelling in India for 3 year and Those Happy Days are helping me to relive my experiences ❤️
don't want to brag but that orange sweet you ate is called "Jangiree".
Your travels through India are so exciting! The people are so generous and kind. Thankyou for sharing your amazing travels in this beautiful and diverse country❤️🙏
Our pleasure honestly 😊
Another amazing video, thank you for sharing this. The people of India are so loving and welcoming. And you both are wonderfully brave - what an adventurous day!
Thank you so much 😀
The India trip is is the best thing you have uploaded. Really enjoying following this journey through India.
Wow thank you! We are loving it too 🙏
Thank you again for another great blog.
Only 32days before we arrive in Goa. So excited.

fabulously filmed and edited guys. You are really selling how wonderful India as a country is to us, and from this video, so are its people. Glad the pete fubar hasnt(hopefully) done him any harm but you both look like you are having the time of your lives. Loving this trip. Bessy regs-Kenny
Thanks Kenny, we are loving it
Hey Liam and Janine , I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying your journey and happy to see the unique travel experience that you guys are bringing it your content. Since your guys have started your journey in my state its even more special. so here are the few things that I noticed and thought might help you understand things better.
1) The temple which you visited is not actually a temple but an madam, which is run by the disciples & followers of Ramalinga Vallalar (வள்ளல் or vallal in tamil means
philanthropist or charitable person.
Aw lovely 😍
Hello 👋, recently discovered you guys. Loving the Indian adventure. I took my children out for a couple months many years ago. We stayed in Auroville for a few weeks before exploring some of the south. Beautiful memories. I felt so at home as India & her people are special.
Thank you for the amazing videos 🙂
So true, and what an experience for your kids to have 😮
Loving your travels in India. Thanks for showing us places we would never otherwise know about. The generosity of the Indian people puts us to shame. Hope your back recovers from all that driving, Liam. Take care guys ❤🙂
Well said guys thank you
Your auto rickshaw skills are legendary Liam.
Yup agreed. They are legendary ❤️😀
In spite of the frenetic traffic around you, looks like you're getting into your stride and absorbing India. Great to see you embracing it, and feeling energised by the whole experience.
What's not to love 🤩 But we are still early days yet haha
@@ThoseHappyDays Sending my Best guys. At Kanyakumari you should see a statue of Swami Vivekananda - introduced the West to India's wisdom of Vedanta and Yoga in the 1890s, and inspired change in India, Gandhi, Sri Aurobindo and others. 🙏
You guys are 2 of the bravest people I know! Amazing
Glenda I agree. I did 3 years of solo travel vlogging in India but never in my years would I have ever dreamt of driving a tuc tuc there!!!!!!! ❤️
❤️🙏
Another great upload. Loving the India travel series so far. Thank you x
Glad you like them!
10.55 sitting in ground and eating the food makes you to pay respect to food god 🙏🏻💐
Really enjoying your trip, Indian people so kind .looking forward to your next video, take care xx
Thanks so much! 😊
அருமை
Thanks for sharing your adventure and for keeping it real! This is so refreshing. Google maps v. India = no contest! India will be her beautiful self.
🙌
What an adventure. Loving this video, showing how colourful and friendly the Indians are.
You are both amazing.
I hope we are doing them proud
Fantastic videos guys. I spent some time in India and am really impressed with your approach to seeing the country. Please, please be careful on the highways - an accident there will be serious in your Rickshaw. We travelled from Agra to New Delhi and had to do it at night. Really scary. Also, when driving, 2 stroke engines need fuel to lubricate the piston so don’t keep the throttle closed for long periods of time with it in gear as you can seize the engine. Good luck and stay safe!
What an epic adventure, the people of India are beautiful 😍
Safe travels guys!
They really are
We love to invite u both for south India your doing great job love from India thanks for visiting our place ❤️ but In South Indian u don't need language show love and true smile they love u extremely.
Thank you so much for showing the temples. I know I want to visit India and experience the temples. It is so nice to see them before I go.
Loved it, loved it, loved it, we think some of these vlogs, have been your best ever. Plus you both look like you're really enjoying life, which makes it even better.
We really are, and thank you that's good to hear 😊
Excellent video. Glad that you visited 1100 years old Thanjavur Big temple, an Architectural and Engineering marvel. No one knows clearly how this granite stone temple was built (within 7 years) with a height of 63 mts with hollow inside from 50th meter onwards . No mortar was used between the interlocking stones. Standing today majestically not affected by any natural disaster. I would rate this as the top wonder of ancient architecture in India.
I’m loving the Indian adventure, can’t wait for the next one
Really pleased you are enjoying it as much as we are
Love from Tamilnadu ❤️
Just switched on, looking for your next episode about India - and discovered your blog of last Christmas when you were in Holmfirth. Now, Homfirth was my home town, till I escaped to go to uni. I have travelled the world and settled in Perth, Western Australia. Never before have I seen anyone speak so highly of this place, underestimated by many, including me! Thanks, Happy Days!
No worries, we absolutely love Holmfirth
@@ThoseHappyDays Not brave enough to do India - my main love is walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. See you there, maybe?
Well done on your hindi speaking 😀👍
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED LOVED LOVED vlogging life in India. Would have been really funny if the cow who passed your tuc tuc attempted to get in it 😀 hahahahaha. ❤️😀❤️
"Don't have much money in the World, the kindness of the people's hearts they expected nothing in return and honestly is India for you "...these are golden lines Thank u
Hi, guys. Apart from the fuel mixture problem, you are doing well. Enjoyed the vlog. Thank you. More young folk should be doing this type of adventure...a real-life experience. Can't learn what you two are in a classroom! Wishing you two well.
Thank you, you are right it's a full on life experience that we will neve forget
Great episode guys!!
This journey is turning out to be epic and you are having such a great adventure and sharing it with us. The people of India are wonderful and giving.
Look forward to the next upload. Stay safe on those roads and happy travels happy Days!! ❤❤
Hi I impressed your video India trip I am from tamilnadu . where you had a food it's vallalar temple they will give free food always .Have a safe trip
Love from thamil nadu.india
Thank you
Liam & Janine, thank you for this adventure! I’m excited for you and can’t wait for your next video❤️ Stay safe and rested.
Our pleasure! 🇮🇳🤩
Thank you for all the advice
Just loving this trip, thank you for sharing and I'm learning a lot about India and its lovely people 😊
Our pleasure! Really pleased you are enjoying the series
OK thank you for letting us know
Bro, only the educated locals can speak English in south India...
You won't find villagers, shopkeepers, autorickshaws, etc talking much English, they only know their local language.
north india has also different language for different states but hindi and english are also there.
@@homefrontsai yes bro most of them in south India are educated 🚶
@@36suryar80 agreed!!! even if they know a few ....they will talk with you in broken English or English without grammar...
#I am not trying to demean them...
Been really enjoying these India vlogs!
Glad you like them mate 👍
Well done Liam, your driving is excellent, thank you both for sharing with all the beauty of India and it's people. I look forward to your next episode of incredible India done by to incredible loving people.

These videos are as good as any travel shows I've seen on TV in UK. So interesting & entertaining. Looking forward to the next one! 👌😍
Elizabeth I reckon Liam and Janine's videos are better then the tv shows 😀 Liam and Janine should be on Netflix. They are AMAZING 🤩 They really are showing us the reality of India. I did solo travel vlogging in India and Those Happy Days are enabling me to relive my experiences ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Driving in India keeps you on the edge. You cant get distracted. You have to be amazingly aware and anticipatory. It's more like meditation. Innit ?
Your videos are amazing. Your energies are contagious. Good luck in India. Its good to see my beautiful state (Tamil Nadu) from your lens !!
Brilliant! The hospitality you have received is so moving! 🤗

Fabulous video with friendly people of India. I love the colours of the clothes and buildings.
Visually stunning isn't it
Tamil Nadu is always pleasant and loving people is all around as always.
Love this road trip, be safe you two
😍🛺
Hi Liam and Janine.
To be clear on oil to fuel ratio with a 2 stroke engine 50:1 is typically a good guide.
If your fuel container is 10 litres or 10,000ml then you divide that number by 50 to calculate the oil requirement I. E. 200ml of 2 stroke oil per 10 litres of petrol.
If you want to run the engine more on the rich / safe side you could go with a 40:1 ratio or 250ml of oil per 10 litres of petrol.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos and am uplifted by your bravery and humility.
I'm not an Indian national but a south Indian living in South Africa .India is our motherland and we love South India ,in particular .Such experiences just make relationships between countries greater .Great video and hope the couple enjoyed their visit to India.Shall make my visit soon, too.Vetri 🙏🇿🇦🙏
I am from Madurai. Happened to visit SA on 2003 and pleasantly surprised to see many Tamils over there. I was walking alone, and was shocked to hear Tamil songs being sung by few gentlemen . Had a chat with them and they said they are third generation Tamils.
@@krisgray1957 Oh trust me,we are real, authentic tamil musicians in South Africa .🙏🙏🇿🇦
Well done, Liam, you need a medal🏆 very impressed with the hospitality of the Indian people.🙏 I really enjoyed your trip. I thought it was very scary, though I am looking forward to the rest. Take care both of you 🛺💖
