Don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.
Involved in crash: #2 Kurt Busch #7 Robby Gordon #11 Denny Hamlin #18 Kyle Busch #26 Jamie McMurray #31 Jeff Burton #48 Jimmie Johnson #82 Scott Speed #83 Brian Vickers #99 Carl Edwards Total: 10
The more damning thing about this was that Junior was a lap or two down at the time. You don't race like that against the leader when you're laps down.
I am a JR fan but.. It was done on purpose he admitted to it later on. It doesn't bother me though because it's to be expected for two reasons. One: we may all call him JR and he's always been more levelheaded than SR but he is still an Earnhardt, and if you grab-ass with an Earnhardt you're going in a wall 100% Two: regardless of the driver, if you are racing aggressively like that when you are the lap traffic, you deserve to be sent to the garage and the collateral is on you.
to be honest, Vickers took out two fan favorites (Dale.jr and Jimmie Johnson) in 2006 in the final lap at Talladega, plus Vickers block him passed the double yellow line so I would think its 90% of Vickers fault 10% of Earnhardt.Jr's fault Junior is an fan favorite, like john cena so dont blame him
To be honest here Vickers put a late block. As he went to go block, him and Jr made contact, but I feel like Jr should had lifted so this wouldn't happen.
I've also heard Junior discuss this in one of his podcasts. He maintains he got his front bumper in front of Vickers' rear bumper, therefore had position on Vickers who then forced him down below the yellow line. Junior believing that if he had lifted and just got back in line, that Vickers' wouldn't be penalized for forcing him down below the yellow line so he just came back up. The announcers contend Vickers made a legal block. In watching the video it's hard to tell, but if Junior did get his front bumper in front of Vickers' rear bumper, then I would say Vickers' with a late attempt at a block, was in the wrong.
To be honest, u really cant blame either i mean u can but Vickers blocked cause he wanted to move forward, but Junior went below the line now youre susposed come back on the track. Now junior has a better vantage point so we dont know if it was purposely but if i hsd to id say it was Juniors fault.
When you become a track blocker instead of a race car driver and you have issues from past races with said blocker this is what you get take plates off the engines restrict the rear gear and yes if pushed you'll blow engines but its better to have drivers instead or players. Drivers race Players chase balls and pucks
100% jr's fault. You can't wreck somebody like that just because he blocked you, took out a lot of good cars that day. Yet all the jr fans are stupid enough to believe he did nothing wrong
Because he didn't. You don't drive someone off the race track, end of story. Vickers blocked Junior practically into the grass and he knew damn well Junior wasn't allowed to pass him under the yellow line.
That was vickers fault 100% because he blocked him which sent him below the double yellow line which is an illegal move and do vickers got what he deserved
I think Jr did right according to the rules. He came back up on track and blended right back in...to Vicker's bumper. lol
"Sorry not sorry." Not even 15 years later. Haha
Maybe his 2009 season was karma

Mike Joy was right! There were 10 cars involved.
When you throw a block on someone and basically force them off the track, prepare to accept the consequences
Woah. Robby Gordon came so close to hitting another car.
TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR
I don’t care who you are, that was just wrong.
Jr was pushed below the line. He simply pushed back up.

Anybody here from dales podcast lol
Did he talk about this incident?
@@drcrueltyhe did. He was asked if there was a wreck he didn’t feel like he should apoligize for and talked about this one.

Nathan de Rover Both Vickers and Earnhardt Jr were 1 lap down
this was still the days of single file restarts lapped cars inside
Yeah but Jr. should understand if he dumps a lapped car at the front of the field, it’s gonna collect lead lap cars.
@@frmnNnj I think he was just trying to turn Vickers into the grass, but it instead collected the whole field
They were racing for the lucky dog, Vickers put him below the yellow line. Dale Jr spoke about it on the "Ask Dale Jr".
I love the call to this crash idk why

i was happy that JR got revenge on vickers.. what did you think he forgot when vickers wrecked him at dega?
I'll say it again, Vickers was just trying to help Jimmie, but then he locked bumpers improperly with JJ, and well the rest is history
Was it worth taking out 10+ cars that had nothing to do with it
Clearly jrs fault. Prove me wrong
Dale Jr did a great job of taking out a whole bunch of dem damn Toyoders…😀👍

He shouldn’t of sent him into the whole field. Or wreck him at all.

For me, it was the extra push by Vickers that looks bad.
Looked like he pulled out, then jerked it out even further nearly clipping Jr.
it's a good day when the 18 wrecks

Vickers was wrong 100%. Dale Jr. was right in getting his position back.
why were they racing like that as lappers in front of the pack

Yellow line is a problem of another one
Any wreck that takes out Kryle Busch AND Hamlin is a good wreck

you do realize that earnhardt junior admitted that he did it on purpose right ?

Vickers Gave Junior no Room To Blend In
