@@sergeantsodom6969 What are we adjusting here ? i took the lever bolt out looked like i was going to damage the rubber does the nut get wound or does it lock the pin ? is it the pin has to be rotated ? Does the pin pull out of the rubber and how does it separate from the lever ? thanks.
@skippergonzo Hi mate You can just pull the rubber boot out of the MC, then pull it off the adjustment pin. I believe the adjuatment pin is attached to the lever (if youre talking about the stock lever) you turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise to lengthen it, then re-install as you took it off. Cheers
You're very welcome. You're you're doing God's work. The brakes on the 10 are mid at best. Figuring out ways to bring them up to snuff for very little money is very helpful.
Hi mate! Nice channel! Dunno if you've tried that already as i haven't watched all of your vids yet, but disabling the abs greatly improved the feeling and trust in the brakes as well. Cheers !
Looking on fowlers at a part list for that model year, looks like it uses a nissin MC with a longer push rod, so it doesn't look like it I'm afraid. Might be worth sending him a message on Ebay, he's usually quite good with responses etc Cheers!
Yeah, should be able to just remove the OEM one and straight swap with this one. I do have a video that shows you up when I installed my ASV levers, should give you a better idea as to how it all goes together. Let me know how you get on
Just fitted it to my Kwak def takes squishy feel away tho done what u did took round the block to test and brakes jammed on had to weight 20 b4 I could move it.. backed it off seems OK tho will test again.. while looking at it I wonder what's to stop it adjusting itself with bumps etc over time as the adjuster part has no lock nut
@kevinmill7965 as I said you could do with getting the front wheel up as if you have it pushing too much pressure into he MC it can bind your breaks up, not good. There's a little grub screw on top you use to lock it in place, there's hardly a chance it will twist its way out, but if you find a good place you like it set, loctite it for good measure at that point
Before I even finish watching this ? How can anyone tell if braking will be improved simply with a low speed lever pull? LOL The problem I have with Yamaha brakes is fading with heavy use....I seriously doubt there is a "20 quid" fix for THAT issue! Maybe pads and higher temp fluid but that will be WAY more than 25 bucks
@turbodave6068 It's running ridiculously rich and fuelling down low is pretty bad, I'm in on the dyno soon. A lot of techs are having big issues bench flashing these bikes due to the euro 5 restrictions and have had their ecus brick because of it, Andy at J33 I think is only doing dyno tunes for these bikes now because of these issues. But others may do them without issue, it's just a risk
On my MT-10 I installed front SBS pads which seemed to work nice but 500 miles later in the twisties I totally LOST ALL lever pressure in a turn! lever to the bars CRASHED I still dont know why but I removed the SBS pads sanded the rotors and rebedded the original pads....my brakes are still wooden feeling I dont really trust em. I might put all new everything....better rotors better calipers and steel lines UPDATE I never did anything further brakes have been trustworthy feeling ever since. Now I also own a 2024 R1 with similar sort of issue the brakes fade badly with hard use! I bought the bike used with 3k miles VERY VERY light use as in the stock front tire had never been on its sides at all *still had tits) LOL I have NEVER got 1500 miles on a front tire much less 3k! On an S23 for crying out loud! The guy did replace the rear after 3k because the middle was flat spotted ....I NEVER get even a full 1000 miles on a rear and they are bald edge to edge cause I only ride twisties on these bikes and the twisties simply destroys hypersport tires PERIOD
Hi folks, I've had confirmation that the stock push rod also has this adjustment! So you can try this out for FREE
so no need to buy? just adjust the original one?
@@1gloddy Yes give it a go :)

@@sergeantsodom6969 thanks, so the adjustment is turning the nut ?
Hello mate the standard one is adjustable ive adjusted mine and works a treat thanks for video.
Thanks for the info!! I'll pass it around 👍
Thanks!
Wow!! Thank you so much 😁😁😁 this is my first ever donation, you sir... are a fucking legend ✌️🤗

Awesome deal my friend! Glad you got it all taken care of!🤙
Cheers man!
Brilliant. The brakes on my 23 MT-10 aren't awful, but they could definitely use more bite.
Hopefully this help you out a little! Thanks dude
It's very helpful. Thank you!

Good video, do you have link to this item. Thanks
My brakes are decent now after it took few hundred miles to bed in well for some decent braking ..
How would you adjust the genuine one if you could let us know
Good stuff. Will it fit on a 2018 R1?

@@sergeantsodom6969Thanks for responding dude👍🏻
@@LeeTillbury Any time mate!
Would this possibly work on a 2013 R1?
@RollinThundervlogs if irmt uses the same MC, then yes. I believe those are axial MCs, not radial, not sure.
@@sergeantsodom6969 cheers for the reply dude, I saw your video and thought it’s worth a go 👍
hey you have to enlarge the stem to a little below the maximum? or should the length of the stem be reduced?
Yes, further into the MC gives more feel/pressure, toward the lever/backing it out gives less
Can you please tell me what bar end mirrors you have?
Oberon ✌️
I dont see any yamaha bike under application for "£20" component very confused is it because it 22+ mt-10 with the new brembo master?
Yup
Just Bought one do you take lever off then pin just pull out?

Fitting today the little nut dies that act as lock nut or uses to adjust pin length..
@kevinmill7965 im assuming you mean the grub screw on top? If so its just to help lock it in place

But the org pin has also threads for adjusting.
Or not?
I have no idea to be honest, I lost mine ages ago!
@@sergeantsodom6969 I'll check tomorrow...
Cheers mate! If I remember correctly there was a black nut - so you may be able to do this with the stock one!

Nah, my phones a flip phone so it's pretty floppy with the quad lock vibration damper 👍😅
