  • It’s been quite awhile since I’ve ridden this elevator. The only time I come here is when they have this thing called free museum day. This is a “frassenger” (freight/passenger) elevator. It’s pretty big and has quite the motor. The front door is a regular center-opening door and the rear door is a bi-parting freight door. I do like how the inner freight door isn’t just your everyday freight gate. This is an older building and this elevator was added on later. They don’t want people riding this unless you really need it, but I really needed to take a video lol. I’m not paying to film an elevator so I had to take advantage of this day.

Hearing the motor from the outside is a very promising sound

Amazing! Just amazing! This elevator totally reminds me of the elevator at the Macy’s Medley Center Rochester, NY. Doesn’t it?! I wanna ride an elevator like this.

I would try to open the "service door" (w/ the buttons of course), even if it's "OFF." If there's someone there I would just say it opened lol.

You need me with you... nobody would question me needing the elevator after this year. I'm a walking (limping?) dumpster fire!

Museum: Don't ride elevator unless you absolutely need it.
    Me: Hold my kneecaps.

I kind of find it stupid how they only want "physically disabled" people riding this elevator. There are people who aren't physically disabled that still have, say, some sort of baggage they carry around. They should let anyone use this thing because elevators aren't just there for people on crutches or in wheelchairs. Again, I find that highly stupid.
