Trust me, driving past a huge missing persons sign constantly has an effect on a community, there have been tips over the years but nothing substantial. It’s just that Cal Poly refused to open an investigation and it took too long to get SLO PD to open the case. Mistakes were made from day 1 which gave Paul time to cover his tracks. There’s a reason he moved away, he was harassed constantly and couldn’t take it. YES, I know this story all too well… I grew up right there.

Her hair and skin would of been found in his room and possibly blood. Case over. Cadaver dogs found the scent of someone deceased on the mattress but no DNA evidence left after the cleaning. The golf cart he used to take her body to his vehicle was thoroughly washed , which was never done before by the golf team members , by all accounts I’ve read. More DNA evidence gone. After listening to People vs Flores I’m absolutely DISGUSTED with his attorney. Passive aggressive. Gaslighting. Disingenuous. Invalidating. Disrespectful of experts qualifications but also dismissive of the rules of the courtroom. He would just repeatedly ask questions over and over **even though they were forbidden in pre-trial** AND objected to/sustained each time he tried. And then he’d play innocent/frustrated/confused as to why he wasn’t being allowed to say what he wanted. Awful, awful man. The amount of times he play acted at being confused, as a manipulation tactic made me sick. Hope the jury saw through it. I’d have wanted to convict just based on his transparent efforts to twist the narrative with transparent lies. They just didnt have enough evidence and they were scared to drag him into court and lose because if he walked they could never charge again for killing kristin smart and they just wouldnt take that chance and waited alot of years before they took a chance and it worked it all pointed at paul amd he was the last one to see her and other small things but it just wasnt enough

Well, I know it must be frustrating for the family of the victim, when the case's gone cold, but I don't think that stalking the suspect is the right way to cope with it. What if it turned out that they have been stalking someone innocent for 20+ years? In this case they were right, but generally it's not a good way.
He was a sexual predator and was creepy and raped women. Poor Kristen was just a nice naive young women. It is irritating that her girlfriend friend left her.

Kristen was Stone Cold Sober when the friend left.
Not only was Kristin completely sober when her friend last saw her, no one at the party she went to after saw her drinking anything. Kristin kissed a young man that was there twice and he smelt no alcohol on her breath.
