The producer was so gracious and understanding in her 1st monthly evaluation. He ignored the mistakes of an inexperienced, nervous child and focused on the potential. That alone has solidified my respect for YG.

Her improvement is insane. Being YG trainees whether you debut or not from YG you still get the most benefits by improving your skills. YHS still hasn't change in his selection of artists. He seems to really love and choose those trainees for YG artists who shows improvement in the process rather than those who's talented but remain the same since day 1.

Many kpop aspirants actually go for yg auditions not to debut in yg.Because they know competition will be high.when they pass auditions they work on their basic skills and leave yg and join any small company. I have heard these kind of stories many times.
Because training is free once you get accepted. Even if you dont debut in the end, your skills have upgraded plus other companies easily take those who trained at yg

I CANT BELIEVE RORA WAS 10 YEARS OLD AT HER FIRST EVALUATIONS and now she is gonna debut at 14 😭 she is amazing, her voice is the one that has capture me more among babymonster members, is so powerful, full of life and feelings to the point it mesmerizes the audience.

The producers definitely know the future artists. Like on her first evaluation, I cannot hear that she has a tone of a great vocalist but the YG already observed that with practice, she has a unique voice and become a great vocalist. And now, with many monthly evaluations, we can see her improvement and how her true vocal appeared. Unique, strong, with emotion vocal

Rora knows how to manipulate her vocal fry when she sings and she’s so young but already so incredible. Love that she’s a born and bred Korean; she’s the perfect choice for this group. Chiquita and Rora are adorable, I can’t wait to be introduced to Chiquita.

This might be the most vocally stacked kpop group in a while and the fact that they are so young with a big3 backing, they're gonna be such a force! Hopefully YG won't waste the vocals and find a music that really suits them!

True! It now depends on the music they're gonna go for, because talent-wise they're already ready and stacked. It worked for BP for a while because we didn't know how skilled they are at the start, but for BM, they literally showed us from the get go what the girls are capable of. It would be disappointing if they don't get to show off immediately during debut.

Rora is a surprise. She is another strong vocalist. The way she tries to understand and interprets the song really shows commitment and maturity in her craft and in such a young age.. wow.. And of course she also plays the piano and Pharita plays the guitar. What a talented bunch!

@@emanymton713 EXACTLY!!! Thankyou!! People forget sooo easily. I'm actually happy YG is showing us his hidden side I came to know years ago. He truly has this father qualities to him yet challenges the trainees tone better.
YG included BABYMONSTER nsne in the building when they finished all the practice rooms. Some girls even gotten producer rooms. That screams " you are part of YGFAMILY " already. This was in mid 2020. Naturally the girls feel at home. Even the old building is home go some of these girls. So in 2020 it was already confirmed by YG listing them for trademark. The girls went from training to training and preparing for debute.

1:26 I don't care what anyone else says, you either love him or hate him, but you can't deny how beautiful YG handled this situation it was like a father who offered a comforting and motivational words to his daughter who was very worried of disappointing her father.
I firmly believe had this been the YG of old he would've been a little bit harsh. You can tell that by him having a daughter of his own, who is probably closer to the age of the BABYMONSTER maknae line, he's been much softer to his trainees.
YG really bags the talented trainees and help them improved their skills to become more talented, can't wait for this group to debut.
Ikr. He's not the type that will choose a well published talented kid but still doing the same for a year. They always debut trainees that they trained and molded well by them. Not like others who just wait for a finish product or well trained trainee by other companies. That's why even former yg trainees can be an ace when they auditioned to other companies coz they will not mind to have them improved coz they are well talented and skilled enough.
That's what I really like about BABYMONSTER, I genuinely feel like they're not just developing their talent but also their personality; they're growing and maturing. They have views and opinions about their surroundings and know how to respond to them. When I see them, I don't see people who are molded into assigned roles within the group. I sense a certain freedom in their personalities.
