I swear Scotts Ninja movies are his best ever, the first movie has aloooot of really good fight scenes, when he suits up as a full on ninja it's a sight to behold
Check out Undisputed series Scott is in 3-4 Michael Jai White is in 2 Wesley Snipes is in 1 They need to do a 5th and bring back Scott Wesley and Michael
Man, this scene with Scott and Kane using such cool kicks and Scott doing Kobudo for a small bit with the bo staff was awesome! But that ending, though, is poetic justice
I know someone has probably already mentioned this but I think you'd really like Scott's Art of Action series on TH-cam where he talks to action greats about their career and if possible about the scenes they've done together. You get alot of behind the scenes info and it's crazy how many of these scenes where done while he was injured
Thank you for reading my comments and doing this video. I love this film and this fight and I love your reactions to all the fights you watch. Keep doing what you’re doing Max, you’re awesome dude. Also it’s tear, as in crying cause Scott’s characters wife gets killed etc.
@@BurridgeMartialArts604 love the vids! So hard to find content without agendas... especially here in America. As a martial artist, it's easy to be on the same page showing appreciation for the hard work that goes into these scenes! One of the reasons I enjoy watching Rimburgs work (particularly the "Osu" vids)
Kane Kosugi reminds me so much of his Dad, whom I grew up watching. Enter the Ninja, and Ninja 3: The Domination. How about the final fight from Blind Fury, with Sho Kosugi and Rutger Hauer? A retelling of Zaitoichi, but still quite cool.. I remember seeing this film in a drive in. Thanks for all of your videos!
I was just talking to my friend about Blind Fury the other day, it was one of the first martial arts movies I ever watched, one of my old karate sensei showed it to me. I was just watching some funny clips from it yesterday!
I've seen the film but can't remember much due to short memory loss. Basically that guy he's fighting was a friend but when he sees that weapon he knows who killed his wife.
Same..... instead we get the pretentious twerp from Twilight I saw The Batman 2022, two weeks ago for free.. still want my money back.... Watching it was a was a bore, and finishing it was a chore . His performance as the Bat and Bruce was so underwealming. Guy made the other actors less interesting by his lack of effort Bad enough the script was meh Worst Batman ever
The real question is how many coffee tables does Kane have? You should check out the fight scene in season 1 of Gangs of London… the bar fight is nuts.
Man you pick all the good ones, let's see have you ever seen True Legend. I swear I want Scott to be Jonny Cage if the make another Mortal Kombat movie
When i saw this movie, that scene shocked me XD I mean I'm not a martial artist or anything but, sticks will win and metal bars and win against swords Those big blows on the back of the head and legs will stop the opponent but again thank you so much Max for this video! Have a great day! ^^
I think it was Revenge of the Ninja I saw with Sho & Kane when he was a kid. Sho was also on the tv show The Master, I remember he had a cool metal ninja mask.
Got an idea how to finally get max to sit down and watch these awesome movies, TH-cam watch parties, every person in the audience gets their own copy of the film (totally in a legit way mhm) , Max won't be able to show the film on screen to avoid copyright just Webcam reaction and everyone is watching along in timestamps, being like currently we're at 31minutes and 48 seconds or whatever, I just wanna get max to watch these movies, they're so good lol
Getting into the ninja stuff, eh? I recommend Ninja in the Dragon's Den from 1982, with Hiroyuki Sanada and Conan Lee. Still the best ninja movie for me, golden age Hong Kong cinema with a dash of the brutality from japanese samurai / ninja movies.
Am I wrong in this could you tell me? If blacking a Samurai sword attack with another katana are you supposed to use the blunt or hard edge of the sword to do it with in order to save the blade of the sword your using?
Honestly I do not train with swords at all, did a little bit back in my karate days but more just messing around than anything. The reason I know blocking with the sword is bad is from a lot of documentaries and some other TH-cam videos where they talk about that sort of thing.
Unfortunately not, it has been a long time since have competed. I am hoping to compete early next year if things here will open up again and I can travel to fight
Love the fight scene! Really enjoying this TH-cam channel! Keep up the good work and if you haven't watched Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee yet, go watch it!

I dont think any of those were katanas... At least, not followed by strict forging. You don't pull katana out of nowhere and these blades were more like sentimental collectibles. Katana is always alone when it comes to even storing one.
If I'm.messing around on pads probably 20 hurricane kicks in a row or something, never really counted. But as far as while fighting, probably 2 because I don't normally throw anything too fancy when sparring or fighting
I hate how katana are used in modern films. You block your opponent's edge with the lateral faces of your ha, that way you preserve your edge while damaging theirs. Also Niten Ichi Ryu techniques are far more effective and functional than whatever that ridiculous joining of the swords was. Good fight scene but sadly not a very good demonstration of kenjutsu.
I do HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and the way that bladed weapon fights in media have been portrayed could be so much better if they just followed some logical rules. Block with your flat (unless you are going for a bind, but no one but a practitioner will recognize that), do not waste any movement of the blade (if you miss a downward strike, don't pull back up to try again, but strike upwards instead), and always answer the Weak of the opponent's blade (close to the tip) with the Strong of your blade (close to the base). If choreographers would follow these 3 simple rules, then fight scenes with weapons would be much more realistic, whether Eastern or Western based.
