  • Lots of kids have difficulty coping with losing games. Sometimes that difficulty coping with losing becomes difficulty using good sportsmanship, and difficulty playing the game to the best of your potential. Like most Bryan Smith books, this book does a fantastic job writing from the perspective of the child with loads of empathy and understanding for the perspective of the kid who finds it hard to be a good sport. Also like other Bryan Smith books, this one does a great job of breaking down a complex topic - good sportsmanship - into simple-to-remember recommendations that kids would be able to learn, remember, and apply widely to situations in which they find it hard to be good sports.
