Thank you sharing this great old radio program, but the original commercials should not be removed.

I really enjoyed this episode; it's one of the best. I couldn't help but ponder on the relationship that Mr Dillon used have with Cara - nor why so many good-looking female folk decide to take up with low-life swine like Jack Tolliver. That phenomenon is no different today than what it was in the days of the Wild West. 10/10 - 27 Jan 2024

Sometimes I really feel for the characters.

Honestly a very short story that didn't really do much besides give you a small sense of pity for Mat, but it's okay. I guess long before the show got into the hundreds, maybe around when it gets past the 50 episodes it starts to get to these sort of plots. The show could have been true to its beginnings but guess this was always going to happen when writers run out of ideas and backers want things to change for profit. I preferred the older episodes, no happy endings, maybe justice being served, but still there being scars left behind by the perpetrator. Ya know I still can't seem to find the episode where Mat spends a day or two tracking a man he suspects to be a murderer, just to realize that he wasted his time, and because of that the real perp got not just another chance to kill, but ends up getting away long before Mat got back to Dodge.
