I think this is the best version of Lost In Paradise. It's just Amy and the piano. No one in the audience, no band mates. Just her singing with so much power (with great reverbs!). Stunning

Eh.. I love the sound of the piano.. but guitar will always be the most versatile and capable instrument in all of music. With the paino being a close second.
i would say that the guitar is only made so versatile by all the electronics people use to supplement it. i play both, i love both, but there's no instrument like the acoustic piano when it comes to conveying the full spectrum of human emotion.
a person ok.. take the electric guitar out of the equation.. just the acoustic guitar alone is capable of expressing all the emotion that a piano can.. there's one key emotion that I feel like piano falls short of expressing.. and that's agression.. it can express it if the pianist is talented enough.. but with the strings being right there to be manipulated.. makes expressing agression and frustration alot easier than on a piano.. I absolutely love the piano.. but just not quite as versatile as a guitar. .. but this is all my opinion.
every time I listen to this song it feels like someone is grabbing my lungs and I can't breath, and I just cry. This... this is a masterpiece. A piece of art.

I started listening to Evanescence when they came out in the early 2000s, I think. I had my daughter in 2006. I continued to listen to Evanescence. Now my daughter is 11 years old, and it's her favorite band. She says the music reminds her of when she was younger because I played it all the time. I took her to a concert recently when Amy Lee and Lindsey Stirling were on tour together. (I saw Evanescence in concert before then, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I got so emotional at that concert that I actually cried because of her beautiful voice and my pregnancy hormones. Lol) My daughter now plays the piano AND flute. She loves music, and she loves Amy Lee. I am raising an Evanescence fan for life. Just like her mom... ❤

Amy Lee has a way of writing lyrics that come straight from the heart. She isn't performing, she is opening up, exposing her emotions to the world. I am amazed at the range of her talents. She can sing alone with a piano, with a rock band, or with a string quartet and be equally perfect in pitch, tone, and feeling.

Every time I re-watch this, it not only gives me chills, but it also is such an emotional song to such perfection that connects with me on such a deep level. Those lines are so emotional and it just reverberates within me. This is part of why we have music. It's so inspiring. That's also why I love it and hope that when I perform my own emotional music for this first time, I hope that it comes over well enough that someone in the audience or whoever is watching/listening to it can feel that same way.
Your so right she just send in so much emotion in her music that you just can't help but see happy, sad, scared, intense... etc I will never stop loving her and her music or anything thing she does. Love you Amy-Lee I will be a fan for LIFE!

The first times I heard this sing it made me cry. This is one of the best songs by Evanescence yet, much better than their hits, which is ironic. And the lyrics are heart-breaking, but so true.
This was released as a single but never got the proper push or promotion. This song was being pre-ordered on iTunes before the album even came out by people who didn't even purchase the rest of it. The lable F'd up big time with when it came to this song.
Tiffany Enssle This song and 'Made of Stone' which is basically this album's Bring Me To Life but it never got the recognition it deserves. well, at least it was featured as the theme of the last Underworld movie but meh. I wish they made a music video for that and this song(a real one, not that fan video)

Because at least feeling the ground finally hit after falling this whole time, at least that’s different than that cruel wanting she was talking about. So yeah, I get it. 🖤

I am floored! I didn't think that I would EVER here this song or any songs by Amy Lee with just the piano. THIS is what I always wanted. No drums, no guitars. I have some very old songs of hers (probably demos). And the drums, etc. were in the background so much that you could hardly hear them. But just enough to keep the beat going. I am new to this site. Is there any way that a person could buy these songs? I adore her. IMHO, she is the best singer of all time.
