I've accidentally awaken at least 2 since I started playing first time I don't see it laying down in the dark and stepped on it the second I was trying to kill a sniper right next to it my veteran killed it before I could brain blast it and I locked onto it instead
These guys in darktide are shitty to run into especially when it's dark as hell you hear them talking and can't find them to mark them in the dark and active them where they kill you instantly they are pretty much boss enemies
That's a good idea although the Boyz are uncorruptible that's why in lore they love fighting them even using warp travel to purposely fight demons because they view them as inflight entertainment

"Pawns of chaos" by Brian Craig, it's a cool story... rotating around a feral kid on a chaos worshiping planet getting engaged with cultists and imperial forces conflict that also includes a tzeentchian Daemon hots... you will like it, guaranteed...
Pretty much in darktide you can hear them talk in multiple voices depending on how agitated they when not disturbed they use a female voice despite always being male saying stuff like "I'm innocent I will not do your bidding" or saying "I'll do whatever you want just don't hurt them" when slightly agitated they speak in male voice saying prayers to the emperor like "the emperors will is mine to command" or "through the emperor we shall purge heresy" when fully engaged they teleport to who ever pissed it off and beat them till they are down once down they perform an execution on you speaking in demonic voice saying "this is your end" or "your sacrifice will satisfy my master" as far as I'm concerned you can't interrupt the execution unless you use an ogryns stampede ability but even then it'll still lock onto you and kill you eventually
Quick question grim is it a similar process binding a demon to a war engine as it is to a living being? Of course with demon engines it's more permanent but I'm guessing that they use runes or something to bind it to a war engine

I Think it like 3 ritual to bind the deamon within the engine itself
I thought you "curse" the machine Spirit?
I'd say it is similar, but probably takes more effort as a "living" tank is a bit harder to manage than a dude in chains.
