Hughes Fire: 4p latest

The Hughes Fire was reported at about 11 a.m. Wednesday in a remote area east of the lake, according to Cal Fire. Aided by gusting Santa Ana winds and thick, dry vegetation, the fire scorched 8,096 acres by late afternoon.

Truck drivers sitting in the truck stop with nothing to do. Load up some water tankers and get some truckers to haul water to the firefighters. Set up a pickup location to load up tankers. Have the truckers haul to a dropoff platform close to the firefighters-pin to pin.
