  • In this section we discuss and demonstrate the body mechanics behind the popular Systema punch with whipping motion; also, the "работа/rabota" (work) on the sandbag, to develop strength and conditioning of joints for impact.
    Part 2 of 3.
Note on 08:20 I meant to say: "...striking with the elbow UP..."

The best fighting advice Iv found always come from short people. They are motivated to rely on perfect techniques to gain advantage so naturally become masters of such. Thank you,

In a serious situation where you u have to protect ur family and the attacker slashed u with a knife just enough not to disable u but cause extreme pain by cuting a nerve on ur arm or the sharp tip of the knife poked ur bone so how do u forget the pain and fight the attacker and not be hesitant,u see even a small cut hurts a lot and u lose courage, what would u do?
    What's ur advice?

You're fighting for your life and that of your family as well, in the situation you described; the epinephrine secreted by your adrenal medulla kicks-in easing your pain, you're in the "fight or flight" response now, you cannot flight unless you're willing to leave your family behind, so you've got to fight. Cover your wound with a portion of your clothing to slow bleeding down also, that same clothing protects in a way from further slashes in the same injured area; hope that helps. Watch my other videos on weapons of opportunity and working against knives. Train hard, as there's no easy way out to the scenario you proposed. Thanks for supporting the channel.

@@coresystemacombatives sir,the problem is that u can't fully rely on fight or flight as u might want to not engage but u have no option, the pain of being cut is a big deal.
This is a weird thing to say but have u heard stories about special forces or army people being caught and tortured for information but they didn't give up the info?
I have heard a few stories like that but I am not them.

@@bricktea3645 Special Forces operators go through a strict selection process, not all candidates make the cut; also, they undergo a tremendous amount of training after selection, one of them is S.E.R.E. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape). That training includes how to endure interrogation. You won't perform like them unless you go through what they go through to get to their performance level.
