I have been going to Jamaica since 1972; all in the 80s & 90 to visit family in Clarendon. Love visiting family and friends in the hills and communities. Went back after COVID-19 in April 2023 for a funeral. Like u Souflo I have to return to see my beautiful country Jamaica and families. I also have family in Manchester and Boombay; up in the hills outside of Manchester. Waiting for names of the deceased to see if any are family or friends that passed. Bless up.

@@souflotv I understand but many people are afraid. Until something is done about crime and violence, many will still be filled with foreboding. It is possible to solve the problem. El Salvador’s president has done it in about 4 years and El Salvador was worse than Jamaica.
@@astraapi8548 I agree that there are solutions but the Jamaican government does not want to use those solutions and I don't blame people for being fearful. I am fearful at times but I still go there.

I saw a news report on that unfortunate accident, and it seemed like the corner in question was a 90-degree turn. That meant you had to slow down considerably to negotiate the corner. If the driver didn't slow down enough, that would explain why she hit the guardrail. It seems also that there have been complaints about that corner being too sharp and maybe a better warning system put in place to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.😢🙏🏼
The flashing light and speed limit sign may be all they can do to warn drivers. They may have to redo the road.

Souflo uptown people or people who appeared to have money were always targets...lots of people migrated due to crime. My family was robbed twice...my poor father had to jump wall. Countless people have died over the years...Remember Horace Burrell (Captain Bakery) had is son shot. My friend's father was shot in the leg, a Chinese family had the wife beheaded. Honestly, is just now everyone start feel it with reprisal killings but uptown was always on edge or targets of crime.

About that accident where the 9 people died. They interviewed a lady and she said the person driving tried to steer the SUV and the wheel locked up and wouldn’t turn. Don’t know how she got that information but that’s what she said.

Souflo, the family of 9, drove down from out of town for a party. It was a rented vehicle. When the lady was trying to turn, it didn't turn. The man noticed and grabbed the steering wheel, but it couldn't turn. ABC news said the guy pulled out 6 victims by himself. Souflo, keep on the story because they are going to reveal the renter company. Investigation said if bolts are missing from somewhere, it could cause the steering wheel not to turn. They are checking into it. Very sad story. This info is from the man in the hospital and help that went on the scene.
