I dont think Duriankimchi is pranking you..lol. These are actually Malaysian Snacks which we enjoy but maybe its weird for Korean. For the sour items such as kulit limau , jeruk mangga manis and limau masin, you should eat it bit by bit to enjoy it and not throw it all in your mouth at one time..ahha

So if you are the one driving that long trip, or you are inside the vehicle going through an unending twisty road, then you would eat each kuaci in its entirety ie. together with its hull (shell) because there's simply no time to open one hull after another hahaha. But beware though, it has been warned that if you consume too much of those hulls, they can harm the inner lining of your tummy because they say those hulls are indigestive. Hmm...

Pickled fruits, jeruk buah, is one of my favourite snacking foods. Especially young mango, jeruk mangga, I can easily polish a whole bottle by myself if left unchecked.
For the dried orange peel and lime, you can either eat it in small amounts or steep it in warm water. It helps with nausea.
Dried sour plums tops the list for me, the strong sour bite with sweetness works.

All the preserved snacks, most of them are sour and salty. It takes time to get used to the taste. Not all ppl like sour food. Its an acquired taste. But i assure you msian ppl like to eat preserved fruits (sour snacks) 😁
This is a recipe (?) I made during my school time. Purely out of curiosity. Combining two of my favourite food at the time, which is Sarsi F&N and asam boi (1 cup sarsi + 1 piece asam boi). A novelty drink is born. Do you dare to try it? Also msian likes to put asam boi in a lot of drinks. There's even asam boi ice cream.
Actually msian eat asam bit by tiny bit. Like how much sourness you want in a bite. For beginners it is not recommended to eat the whole piece at once. Nibble on it. It takes time to get used to the sour taste.
Also there's alot more variety. They just picked the most popular ones 😁

kuaci putih tu kena buka dulu...makan isi dia sahaja, yang tu sebenarnya adalah biji labu..cara buka dia kena gigit macam makan biji matahari (kuaci). Biasanya yang putih masin, yang biji labu warna hitam baru tak masin.

Kuaci putih : must remove shell first 😅 asam : sweet, salty and sour snacks mostly for pregnant ladies. We don't eat it everyday. And we take only small bites (pregnant ladies normally eat these alot because of their cravings and food sensitivity aversion.

Hi blimey, one tips if you're about to eat/ taste Malaysian foods, you have to taste it by a small portion (just a tiny bite per time) especially for pickles. If you ate the whole pickle just like that (mouthful) then you mostly will not like it. The fruit pickles actually really nice. It's the combination of sour, sweet and a bit salty😊😊 thank you for give it a try to Malaysian foods ♥️
