    Thanks for this video. Was able to take my grandfathers apart and found it was seized due to a blade that was cracked and between the wall of the rotor and the housing. I'm going to polish the inside of the housing up and throw a set of rotors in.

    I noticed a retaining ring on my sander just over the bearing. You didn't mention removing or replacing this retaining ring. On your video it appears to be missing. Is this an oversight on your video or am I missing something?

    Thats a great video but how do i know whats wrong wint my sander it just stop spining

    Do you not have to grease or lube anything during reassembly?

      i would recommend when you go to screw cap cast ring in you add oil in the thread i generally just glob air oil all over it then screw on super easy. as far oiling goes i generally oil mine after i have it all back together i just put like 10 drops in air line let it flow threw motor with filter cap off so does not clog up filter but if you run it with out filter you have turn down speed or it mite explode rotor.

    What about polishing the cylinder? There's alot of other stuff you have to look at than just replacing the rotor and blades.
