Wonderful Radium! Been many years since we were in the hot springs - a very memorable spot, your kids would love it and remember it I'm sure. It was so strange, I was sure I would be passing out from the heat of the day AND the hot springs, but it wasn't that bad at all! I do love the history of the place. Wish I could have seen it back when it was all natural, bubbling right up from the rocks.

WOW 36C would have seen me hiding in the house with all the doors, windows and curtains closed. If I was dragged out I think I would have needed cold springs - way too hot for me. They were set in an amazing area mind and the cool pool sounds more like it to me but it did look like a real fun day, cheers Alan
I was thinking that we'd boil ourselves by going into a hot spring on such a hot day, but it was actually really nice. Thank goodness for that cold pool though! ;)

Radium is a cute little town. The hot springs are definitely the best part of it, for me personally at least. We usually stay in Invermere when we visit the hot springs as Invermere has some fun beaches, a great farmer's market, and lots of cute shops. :)

YES, but so do almost all natural spring waters. Don't worry, you'll catch like a dozen times the radiation from flying a few hours vs sitting in the thermal waters for an hour.
We were meeting Joey's brother in Kimberley where they have a seasonal lot. Next time we want to hit up the island! (And yes, gas was ridiculous in B.C. We rolled into Alberta on fumes just so we could avoid filling up in B.C.)

It's not a far drive from Alberta. We used to vacation in Invermere every summer for a ten-year time span, so this hot spring is our happy place! :)
