For those who have a reverse camera & wondered what the red line is @44s it's the max distance to park to be able to open your trunk. I never knew this till last month & own a Yaris for 3yrs 😂
I have a 2021 hybrid, you need to change the air filter sooner, you might think its still good, but they cost very little, and your mileage may improve.Air filter every 20k oil change every 5k. jmo
If anyone does that, consider blowing from the engine side of the filter to push particles out the way they came in to avoid pushing them closer to the engine side, where they may escape into the engine.
@@peterrudy9207 I got a funnel set…not the Lisle, but the one from Harbor Freight. It’s great! Love all the different colored adaptors depending on which make you’re servicing! 👍🏼
Yeah but you gotta realize not all people maintain our cars like us the older Toyotas you can really abuse where the new ones even more important than ever to follow proper maintenance schedules
You probably want to leave the drain plug out the whole time so that any contamination mixed with the oil drains out and doesn't settle on the bottom. Also, oil filters need to be done up firm as you don't want them leaking, or worse, coming off.
@@Michaellrhodes amazing the mileage that you have on this vehicle! I have a ‘15 Toyota Venza with just 120K miles…I plan on doing the maintenance on it. Runs smooth, no oil consumption…makes me wonder how far I can take it. 🤔
It's too bad that filter isn't attached vertically so you could prefill the filter with new oil so your engine won't be running without oil for the first few seconds when you start it. Luckily my Toyotas all have vertical filters so I can always pre-fill them with oil. Why are you buying filters at autozone when you can get a pack of 10 factory toyota 90915-YZZF2 oil filters online for half the price?
Pre-filling is not needed. Just look at this car’s mileage. Buying the right car and changing your engine oil at no more than 5K mile intervals is the secret, not pre-filling filters.
4:26, they call them "orange can of death", anyway I own Honda vehicle and theirs genuine Honda blue oil filter, when you cut open is Fram made by Honeywell, cardboard end caps, cheapest Fram filter.

Awesome! My 1999 4Runner daily is at 514,000 miles and runs great.
This is the dream. Gotta save up to get my own Rolla
I think you should have atleast blown the air filter with compressed air before putting it back in. It looked completely choked.

Toyota Corolla is the best economic commuter car. I love Corollas.
I use top of plastic milk carton as funnel fits perfect in filler neck, Don't have to hold funnel. Thats an Australian 2lt milk carton.
Or buy a Lisle Tools Funnel Set
Great idea, always used a coke bottle 🤣 Coke bottle are harder to handle to be fair.
@@tardeliesmagic You could use a Lisle 19912 , 19612 , funnel kit . For my 2020 Toyota Camry I use Motiv X Tools MX2301 .

This video is a proof to those folks who think 0w oils will destroy their engine

Filter needs changing

Having that much milage, does your car consume any oil?
I’m sure it does, but it’s so small I can’t tell because I change it frequently every month and a half.

29 is the recommended maximum Torque Spec for oil drain plug
I've never seen an air filter that had 100K miles on it.
hoping that my 2017 prius can get to 500,000 miles
Is the engine and transmission still the original and unmodified? Great videos!
How often do you change your oil? 7k miles. Got it
What's your service history with the transmission and coolant?
Why you did with the same air filter 100k miles? 😂
Wait what year and model is this. The oil filter is different
2020 Toyota Corolla hybrid
What is your usual oil change interval on that bad boy?
10 thousand would be good
What yr is your Corolla ?
If you really want to get it to 500k I would start doing 5k oil changes

His car lasted for 500000 miles. Do you think filter mattered? I would continue what I was using if my car lasted this long.
481 000 is nowhere near 500 000, that 19 000 miles would take me 4-5 years easily...
Unless you do 1000s miles every week then Okay.
wow... agree with beautiful day.. that is beautiful day
thanks

Dnt put 0w16 if you want your car lasting
Almost 500k miles on 0w16, think about it...
Have ya ever considered using amsoil full synthetic engine oil?
Must be doing something right that oil didn’t look ell that bad if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
Amsoil is a waste of money. Mobil 1 five qt jug at Walmart is $24.
it's popular brand in low education neighborhoods
Never got the point of rear view cameras but I guess they kinda have some help...
Evidence when rear ended
