Hey man, you sound great as you always do, ive been listening to you for a while and have been trying my hardest to improve recently as you gave me a reason to love the euphonium as a young player. I might become #1 highschool player in my state in a few years, i just want to thank you for helping me gain a passion and your educational videos are so great! Edit: my biggest problem at the moment is tounging/intonation so if anyone reading this could give me greater help that would be greatly appreciated
For tonguing, lots of slow reps and make sure you are using the "tah" syllable as opposed to "dah" for clarity. Also make sure when you tongue you are hitting the ridge between the top of your teeth and your gums. As for intonation, I would recommend playing fundamentals/simple etudes with a drone that is the root of the key you are in (Ex. Ab drone if you are in the key of Ab). This will help you be able to relate the notes to Ab. In general, a lot of fundamental practice will help. It definitely takes patience, but you can see results if you really focus and practice efficiently😀
