(Question at the bottom) So beautiful by Skip. Skip!!! I'm such a big fan of yours!! We spoke on MySpace YEARS ago, and we spoke about your Dad's Alcoholism, and what you went through!!! You are to me, what Tom is to you. Here's my question: Will this be the year Oklahoma finally loses a conference game to WVU??? We beat you in the Fiesta Bowl but that was before we joined the Big 12. Thanks!

It would be disappointing, as a son, to see my dad retire from what he loves before he is ready, simply to be home more...I get it, but I can also see resentment coming from it. I can see regret in a few years when he's been out too long to rejoin, but knows he could still be in if he hadn't left. I can see regret, as rules change and offense gets easier, when Herbert, Allen, & Mahomes are racing to pass his records that he could've added to had he stayed in...All I know is, when you have a career you're passionate about, you better ride that train until there are no more tracks and the journey is done. The dreams you'll have later in life on where those remaining tracks might've gone will haunt you...even if you went further than everyone else.

If I am Tom I would want to get away from the Bucs. Next year will be a rebuild year loosing players and coordinators with a very difficult schedule. Tom is not stupid. He will retire cause he doesn't think he is as good as he used to be anymore. Thats the reality. He might try to deny it and try to change the narrative but Tom Brady doesn't think he can do it at the level he used to ne able to do it. Thats why all the greats retire. They see downfall. Brady got outplayed by Stafford. He saw Burrow this yr. Herbert as well. Saw that Mahomes and Josh Allen game. Saw Aaron Rodgers this yr. He got eyes like the rest of us. The family, wife reasons are irrelevant cause if he really wanted to play 1 more year - they would allow him. He doesn't want to do it anymore. He doeasn't want to come back just to lose in divisonal round again. The Buccaneers are falling apart. Their OC, DC will be gone and 3 OLine players as well. Gronk can't kove anymore and will probably retire. They got many free agents they will lose. The writing is on the wall.

Stop acting like Tom Brady is great , He's an average QB that was in a great defensive scheme with the PATs and only won with the Buccs because of the Defense again.
I thought he is spose to make players around him "better" where was that vs the Rams? If this is the goat he should have elavated everyone to win that game but he didn't coz HE's NOT THAT GUY.

I too have had a really hard time coming to grips with the idea of Tom Brady retiring. As a Buccaneer fan, you know our franchise is not one of "those" franchises that you know will be in or around the Super Bowl year after year. We may have winning seasons here and there, but we aren't NE, or Dallas, or Denver, Pittsburgh, etc....that have a long history of playoffs and Super Bowls (this year not withstanding). I remember watching NFL commercials such as the NFLShop where they would flash all the various people wearing their NFL merch on the screen and thinking 'wow they never show anything Buccaneers.' And when Tom was thinking of retiring, my buddy and I would constantly guess where he would go...maybe the Colts, maybe the Chargers. And I used to say "man wouldn't it be great if he came to the Bucs" but never honestly believed he would. When it was announced he signed it was literally one of the happiest days of my life. I knew this would only be short termed, but I was going to enjoy the time. And then to win the Super Bowl and to go 13-4 this year. And now I regularly see the Bucs on commercials and various things. Tom made our team relevant where we can be up their with KC and GB. I can honestly say the last two years have been the most fun I have ever had as a football fan in my 50 years on this planet. I am so grateful to Tom Brady for that. He gave me a joy I have never had and maybe never will again (but I hope i do.). Thank you Tom for everything. If this is it, I understand, I hate it, but I also know like the saying goes...all good things......

I was born in 1988 and live on the outskirts of St. Louis in the country about 25-30 minutes from STL. I was a huge Rams fan when I was young and during the Super bowl in 2001 when Brady led those Patriots over my Rams I was devastated. But for some reason it changed my opinion of Brady and since he beat the Rams in the Super bowl back in 2001 I've absolutely loved the man. I am now 33 and this man has been my favorite athlete for 2/3 of my life. It's insane to think he would retire while he is still in immaculate shape and playing at the highest level. I don't know how I'll cope when Tom the God retires. It will be like losing a close family member to me I feel like...

God Bless you Skip Baylee’s. I’m the same way. Kids are a no go if you want success and keep it. Imagine the resentment Tom will have if he quits. Space is what makes the heart grow fonder. Once they’re with each other 24/7 , his wife will beg him to go back or get into the booth. Keep playing Tom. Dont be stupid. You can still play and still win another one.

    • @nexpro6118

Hmmm saying you can only reach mass success without kids.....just shows that you would rather take the easier route to mass success because yes, it's harder with kids. So good for you for having the mindset of the easier way. Now watch, your response will be to personally attack me, rather than facts to prove me wrong.

Skip and Brady are both the 🐐. Once you get past skips persona and listen to the people he is closest to or he has worked with, I find it’s the same story over and over. “ he would give the shirt off his back for his friends” “ He stood up for me when no one else did” “ He’s a man of character” over and over and over.
Every cohost he has had absolutely loves him…
I don’t know skip but he appears to me to be one of those people who had a terrible family and decided to make his own in his own unique way.
Brady has had a great family but he’s also been kind to everyone he’s ever worked with. I met many stars and most are self obsessed and obsorbed and oddly enough the nicest and kindest people I got to meet for short periods was Brady and Kanye. Extremely intelligent and hyper productive, but they would actually ask questions and really want answers about you. Both caught me off guard.

See people are gonna look as scoop as selfish and cruel because he can’t give into the conventional way of family life, but if you’re passionate about whatever you do then you have to understand that sacrifices come with it and as a spouse if you’re married to somebody who has the passion, you have to sacrifice as well. It’s just a package deal and it comes with compromise. I admire skip for admitted his faults and his potential weaknesses he would have as a father, as a full-time husband because he’s so devoted to his craft.

Hes never been "legally" married. In the '80s, Skip told people in Dallas that he had "married his high school sweetheart" but no one EVER saw this woman. Because she doesn't exist! It turns out that he was trying to cover up his orientation. Skip's current "wife" was born 👨 That's a fact! In addition to being his PR rep, Ernestine is also his BEARD!

we don't know for a fact if he's going to retire. Though I am leaning toward 80% on his retirement with his recent post and podcast. Brady will be without leftwich and todd bowles might become a head coach on a different team. The bucs' starting veteran players are possibly thinking about moving on as well. There are numerous reasons on why Brady might consider retirement over playing one more season. I refused to believe that it's only because of his family.

I started watching the nfl 10 years ago, because it wasn’t big where I’m from, but since then I’ve seen every Brady game, any time a day. I’m obsessed with Brady, he is literally like a father, brother, everything. This man gets so much disrespect and I don’t get it, he is a great great guy, the greatest player in history. People genuinely will cry when he retires me included. If he retires, then I just want to thank Thomas Edward Patrick Brady jr, the greatest athlete ever. For inspiring me for a decade. The sport will never be the same without you, never. I will watch your game, highlights, documentaries til the day I die. Thank you goat.

I'm not judging you but I've lived both lives and I don't think you can or should say what you've said if you have no experience with one of the two lives. Money and time are not really that important in the scheme of things. What is important is meaning. If you think caring for yourself provides more meaning than caring for another then you are lying to yourself.
For anyone on the fence or swayed by people who swear by not having children let me say; Your potential children are not a chore or job. They are not little beings partly made of you and your partner. They are bigger than you and the amount of joy they bring when you embrace your role as a parent isn't comparable to any pleasure or joy life offers. The competence and meaning you can achieve as a father, growing into a provider, protector and teacher role, is extremely difficult to achieve otherwise. Also if you believe there are already to many useless people about then what you are saying is you are useless in that you could not produce a useful person. If you admit you are useless then don't go about giving advice to impressionable people.
