how many songs are on boarderlands? A lot of the genZ kids talk about boarderlands showing them thier songs... I see this comment a lot. I learned about this song on the movie American Made. It's a very good movie, I suggest you check it out. Good way to spend 2.5hours.
weakest in the franchise, bad, woke writing. I reinstalled it to give it a shot, uninstalled after 10 minutes. went back to 1-2, remembered why I loved the series. Presequel, I wish I could like it, I tried. Eh. It's so offputting. @@michaelbecket4901
Same. Sad to know we're only getting one more masterpiece from these lads before they retire. It's been an amazing ride, they deserve to enjoy the rest of their lives.
Has anyone else realized that there are two songs by "The Heavy" in Borderlands 2? The first one is "Short Change Hero", the second one is "How You Like Me Now?" Not to mention that this song right here plays during the credits of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I'm just saying that there have been three songs used in the series by this band, which is great for "The Heavy," since it will most likely increase the number of listeners of this music. I just hope that Gearbox and the band acknowledge what each other did and are grateful if anything good happened afterwards.
You know, i actually discovered the heavy through some car commercial with "how you like me now" but ive played all the borderlands and it definitely got me excited. Also jungle
Everybody here is talking about some video game or fake wrestling but I know this song in it's truest and purest form: Strike Back. Best show on television. PERIOD.
Top Gear used the instrumental of this song for their season 19 Africa Special :D !!! I first heard it at the end of Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and then noticed it!
Does it matter? The point is people now get to listen to this amazing music. Music should be shared. Not kept a secret to feel good about yourself when you know it before others.
Fitting for the end too. The rise of Handsome Jack, Wilhelm's devolution into machine, Nisha... still being Nisha, leaving Athena and Claptrap being the only actual legit good guys

@NightlySpectre 2 For me it's probably Zer0 and maybe Salvador or Krieg in BL2 in BLPS it's Claptrap because he has a kinda funny ability and he doesn't require O² so I mean that helps out and in BL3 it's Flak just because I like the ability of having an animal companion whether it be a monkey creature that can shoot a gun, a skag, or a Rakk. He's basically Zer0 with animal companions.. Haven't played BL1 yet though planning on getting to that soon.
If you think there is no good music anymore, you're not looking Hard enough. besides the Heavy, try the Sheepdogs, the Monophonics, Vintage Trouble, The Buffalo killers, Radio Moscow...there are tons more i could list. Happy Hunting!
I have to give Borderlands a lot of props for exposing me to such an awesome band. I can't get enough of The Heavy now!

For me it was JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
@@VtecdippinBB6siR Short change hero, How you like me know (BL2) and Put it on the line (BL3)
Go listen to the soundtrack for Tales From The Borderlands, that's got some fantastic music too.

This was the perfect choice for the end of the pre sequel
Agreed such a great game and an absolute underrated gem

Great show. Feel asleep to if now for 2.5 years! Always been my favorite time alone
Same. Sad to know we're only getting one more masterpiece from these lads before they retire. It's been an amazing ride, they deserve to enjoy the rest of their lives.

Appreciating good music brought me to this song.
The perfect theme for Handsome Jack and his rise to power.
Such a great song, just listened on this week's episode of Titans.
AWESOME
The beginning has a strong trip-hop sound or that Bruce Springsteen song “Streets of Philadelphia.” Love it! Praise Ninja Tune / Counter / Big Dada!
Sounds like a rock song from the mid 70s love it!!
More like motown funk
Listen to this whenever you put on a suit.
Needs to be completed with a pair of aviator sunglasses too
thought i was the only one thinking that lmao
Daily 😎
MF I'm an undertaker that shits daily.
And you're right!
I will
Gearbox really must like the heavy, seeing as they've used their songs multiple times
ChronoBaron they just fit the series so well
Haven't listened to it yet, but they're back for 3!
The heavy makes AMAZING songs
You know, i actually discovered the heavy through some car commercial with "how you like me now" but ive played all the borderlands and it definitely got me excited. Also jungle
I don't regret playing the doppelganger of such a character ONE BIT.
Sir Buljo
Sir Buljo Timothy is awesome
My main. May not be Jack, but he sure looks like him!
The music took over me.........I could not hold it.I had 2 touch that replay button(many times).

Excelent Song!!!
stupid question...but how do you know its in borderlands 2 if the games not out yet??
Loving this song at the moment. Courtesy of the WWE Royal Rumble 2013 and The Flight movie trailer....
good point and well made
As always the borderlands team picks one hell of a song from these guys to put in the game
Fitting for the end too. The rise of Handsome Jack, Wilhelm's devolution into machine, Nisha... still being Nisha, leaving Athena and Claptrap being the only actual legit good guys
brandpanz other than that, she's still a sadomasochistic killer.
apart from short change hero, what are they?
excellent beat
Looooooove this song!
I am heavy weapons guy... and this is my weapon.
"Them Contras were damn excited about being in the U.S. of A." - Barry Seal
Listening to this in 2016 because of Borderlands. Who with me people!? \o/
Suits! *_*
The playlist just keeps getting better!
Love it!
Hell yeah. Took me forever to find this song off the Borderlands 2 commercial.
I've basically heard this everywhere I go this past week
this song was in tvd thats how i found out about it and i love it!!
Yes! I finally found it! The song in the Suits promo!
What are some other bands that have a cool gospel/rock sound while staying secular?
Your the man!
totally ROCKS!
"You're the bandit, AND I AM THE GODDAMN HERO" Handsome Jack
It's actually "A" not "THE" and "You are" not "You're"
Life brought me here
Sleeping Dogs trailer brought me here. Great thematic choice for the trailer.
Ain't nothin' wrong with this chemistry
Ain't nothin' wrong with this blasphemy

What makes a good man Good man
Now I ain't tired of sweating for blood and dirt
I ain't tired of sweating for what it's worth
'Cause lines get drawn and lines get kicked and blurred
Indelible is what I need to spread the word
And tell me now (tell me now)
And show me how (show me how)
To understand (understand)
What makes a good man?
To tell me now (tell me now)
Hey walk the line (walk the line)

Thanks for the lyrics!
Love it
nice song~
Good music
dude you are awesome.
Now this is music!!!
thanks man
2020 needs to relax and hear this!
This song perfectly reflects the moral ambiguity of Jack's rise to power. Which is why it is awesome.
I know I'm the minority but The Pre Sequel was the best one in the series...
@@ProjectV6 I personally prefer the first one, but the PS is definitely under-rated.
well said
Thank you WFUV
Heard this during the 2013 All-Star game intro. Yummy song.
DAMN IT MAN, ALTERNATIVE RADIO BROUGHT ME HERE, GOD DANG IT
I'm a hipster, I listened to this before Borderlands 2, Arkham City, but I came here from Strike Back and always listened to The Heavy ever since.
The movie American Made brought me here.
This is an underrated masterpiece
Who says is underrated?
Congratulations man...
2018 and love this
Love all the Borderlands comments :-) Handsome Jack forever!
Sorry I rather go Zer0 on this one.
@@Bug09 And I pick Timothy "Jimothy Jack" Lawrence the doppelganger.

9 comments?! out of 11,000+ views?! that's sad.
Either way, epic song. Thank you WVIC.
I just like the heavy... I really liked short change hero
