As a former ballet dancer, most of the twins movements and positions were pretty accurate. When they split into the dual form, I believe their arms are a reference to Swan Lake. Ballet is often done dirty in games, so I'm always happy to see it made with an informed eye.
I danced on Swam Lake a long time ago and the arm movements are def a ref to them. Even the dance you can see in one quest is a ref and their apparence too : one is white and the other is black
It wouldn't surprised me if they animated it off footage of dancers. Apparently the piano playing in Caesar's backstory trailer is correctly matched to the song used as well. The animation team for ZZZ is surprisingly thorough.
People say it before, but the reason Billy is EXTREMELY exaggerated with his movements is prolly due to the fact that his face is digital. So its used to help his expressions.
17:32 Anby's whole thing is that she comes off as monotone and serious but she actually is really super into movies to a silly degree sometimes. One scene at the beginning of the game has her making BIlly prove he's himself because she saw a movie about a monster that could disguise itself, insisting that it's real because "there was a long list of victims" (the credits)
1:21:05 this scene legit made me cry. I was so annoyed with this grandma not explaining what the sweetcakes were and we constantly had to run after her, but at this moment it was emotional 😭
I like that Corin's animations reflect her nervousness, anxiety, and self-doubt, as you indicated, but at the same time, when others she trusts manage to convince her that she can do it, she is shown as someone entirely competent, and that she performs her job exemplary.
Bangboos were originally created to help save people from Hollows during a time when Hollows first popped up. They would guide people out of them by using Carrot data, basically maps inside Hollows (Bangboo=Rabbit, Carrot, get it? lol). Soon, people got so used to Bangboos and integrated so well into society that different Bangboos with different specialties were created. I think all of them still have the ability to read Carrots even after newer models came out. Eous, the MC's Bangboo is a bit special. Customized to be able to be remotely controlled by the HDD and penetrate the signal jamming properties of Hollows; allowing for live communication and constant updating of Carrots to the current Hollow it is in; the primary reason why hollows are dangerous besides the Ethereals and Ethereal Corruption is the fact that it changes so often, you will inevitably get lost in it. Ultimately, exposing you to the two other threats. These random changes effectively makes Reglar Carrots obsolete if you stay too long and it changes. Sorry, I geeked out. I love the Bangboos. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am eager to learn about these loveable machines.
Since a hollow can form right on top of you at any moment, there's really no reason to ever remove the hollow navigation features from commercial bangboo models. Though you can certainly specialize them in other things.
Bangboo seem to also come with plenty of Hollow related features outside of reading Carrot data as I remember there being mention in one of the InterKnot posts or one of the TV announcements talking about how folks should keep an eye on their Bangboo’s Ether Activity tracking features due to the expansion of one of fhe major Hollows (most likely the Cretan one). They’re cute, helpful and seem indispensable for life in New Eridu
bangboos definitely have anti-corruption materials/measures installed, like the Belobog machinery but miniaturized, so they don't suffer ether corruption.
Wise is also a lot more… calm(?) than Belle in his animations, it changes depending on who you pick as the MC. The fairy introduction is the first thing that comes to mind. From what I remember, Wise looks around like a normal person, but Belle was much more bouncy and inquisitive in her movements, her head would move as if she was sniffing the air (she wasn’t but that’s the easiest way to describe it) Another is Belobog. Wise looks like he doesn’t care or is annoyed, stating that he’s supposed to say don’t be nervous, meanwhile Belle looks nervous and a bit scared, asking him if people arent normally meant to say don’t be nervous Belle also tends to look a bit more smug than Wise, she’s just overall more expressive, maybe a bit too much at times lmao
I love that recognizing the trope of the positive shift in Jane's and Seth's relationship is so clearly inevitable from the start even for people just perusing the animated cutscenes to check out some cool hoyo content. For so long it feels like media's been too hung up on ~ subverting expectations ~ and being shocking that the people writing these stories forgot that it isn't actually a BAD thing when an audience can tell where something is going. Really, it often just means the story makes sense.
Well that sequence plays out completely different for people who play the game. We know Jane is an undercover consultant for the police working in the mountain lions gang. And we play as her for the entire story arch with that knowledge. We even experience Seth doing things to save people but instead making things harder on Jane. So the romantic turning the villain into a love interest that gives up to join the good guys trope is actually played for laughs because Seth thinks he's living out that romantic trope when instead she's already working for the police as a deconstruct.
1:03:27 Lycaon quoted later at the end of the story quest that "Shark thirens have an obnoxious tendency to be overconfident in their own ability" And considering that ellen is also a teenager, its a given that she would go all out on tiny things that piss her off, like those dudes tryna explode the bangboo, which would then make her life harder on her. And she also says herself that she hates using too much energy but its just a reflex in her dna, so she sleeps whenever and wherever she can.
The overall bouncy animation makes up for the chest bounciness on the women, instead of it clashing, it flows very well with the animation. I guess you could say ZZZ figured out a way to give the audience some more bounce while not making it look too goofy. Yet somehow, there's still people complaining about the realism of the bounciness 🤦♂️
Yeah, when *everything* is bouncy and over the top, some things being more bouncy than others doesn't stand out as much. ZZZ's stylized animation is definitely top tier, I'd even say it's one of the best in the industry
The fact the monster got away after Miyabi (the kitsune you thought was a cat with the ghost soul thing) did all of those awesome moves also sets up the monster more. It shows it as being super powerful and that just making it run away took so much power.
Everything involved with chapter 3 is based on gothic horror and it is the best chapter by far imo, even if the characters from belebog are my favorite. Lycaon is a werewolf (obviously), Corrin is a reference to Frankenstein's Monster with her bolts and stitching, Rina is a ghost from how she holds her hands and floats using electricity, Ellen is a direct reference to Jaws but seems to be more a callout to Innsmouth and thalassic horror in general, and the Ballet Twins is a haunted house complete with killer marionette dolls. Peak.
at 1:06:53 i think theyre just contrasting him being more feral in desperation to his normal demeanor to showcase how invested he is in saving the ship
A useful tip for future videos is that in the gear settings on a youtube video you can adjust the playback speed to slow down the video and make it easier to analyze the animations more. Also, while paused you can also use the period (.) and comma (,) keys to go frame by frame.
If I had a nickle for every time Nekomata almost lost her nose to the weapon of a maid from Victoria Housekeeping, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it is interesting that it has happened twice.
Idk if there’s multiple people directing these scenes are one person but they extremely talented Maybe I’m exaggerating but Zzz has my favorite animation I’ve ever seen in a video game expressions especially
1:19:23 I think something more impressive then the punch is the fact that lycaons slide takes down the bandits ground foot leaving him suspended before taking Lycaon’s gut punch.
I'm no animator but for me the stretchy, bouncy animations I first noticed with overwatch so when i saw zzz, I was like Hoyo took what overwatch did but cranked it to 200%
@@PhantomEnderium thanks for the reply though I think it was an animated one - have to check myself next time I play if I dont forget - not that it matters much now anyway^^ mfg Olli

Mhm, like what we have with Spiderman and Deadpool, right? No face, thus the emotion comes from the movement

Well, technically Jane and Seth was never enemies at all. Just because Jane is an undercover cop in the gang. Seth doesn't know about it, though.
As the others put it (and the game made us learn), He's too much of a pure boy to even be able to lie so he isn't trustworthy with a secret that big.

1:16:11 Foot analysis starts
He understood the vision
Anby just watched a lot of movies, and she takes some of the things in them as reality, so it’s less breaking the fourth wall and more grazing it
at 1:06:53 i think theyre just contrasting him being more feral in desperation to his normal demeanor to showcase how invested he is in saving the ship
46:37 just wanted to point put, that "geroy" is a "hero" in russian

I wouldn't be surprised if who was the same animation from the first time she fall brilliant saves money while it's still entertaining
The team made a amazing work with the animation, the ballet twins have a great desing, i love koleda, lycaon and the girl blue oni desing
The reaction to Lycaon at 55:45 is so real 😭

the reason anby talks about the boss theme is because she listens to music while fighting

you know what these animetion remind me of...Tom and jerry, and I fucking love tom and jerry.
wasnt there one more scene in the beginning with anby dropping into the hollow or did i miss/remember) it?

might've been a comic cutscene so it wasn't included in the compilation video he was watching

Nope, it was animated. It probably wasn't included because the person making the video counted it as an extended stage intro animation.
Yea bouncy 😂 3:22
46:38, geroy means hero in russian
i swear if this game wasnt 12+ the whole game would be just throwing about the f-word from all the fighting
Nice analysis!
Seth is apparently a Snow Leopard
fun fact the smear frames on billy's gun is actually apart of the model of his guns
"Geroy"-Its Hero in rus x)
Could you do kj the stickman or another domain expansion for your next video about Vfx😊
The downside of just the cinematic is a lot of atuff lost in between, like with Soldier 11 for one. Or things like Jane and Seth, still it a fun watch
1:06:55 I think it's to show strength in his every step

Jane and Seth in love?!!?! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Only if you meant in love with the same crop top
Why you said people hate Nekomata😭😭😭 she is the best animated character
It's true though I've heard lots of people say they dislike her, but as a unit not as a character. I don't get why people think she's such a bad unit but it's whatever.
Ellen's just perpetually low on energy and tries to get all her work done as fast as possible, really. Acting professional takes too much effort.
Imo I think the key part wise dropped it on the floor so that's why she smiled
And plus it's implied that the keys are prone to drop and all
1:28:37 He was cooking nothing
50:36 the biggest sin was not going into slow motion there
The Jane and Seth stuff is not enemies to lovers, you gotta read the full story for the actual context, but i won't spoil it xD
